I believe the reasons they don't include QDs is most likely people already have them and are just upgrading their sling from the quick-prurchased posling during their rifle purchase.
You should take a look at Abner Miranda's slings from Tier 1 Citizen. I have his two-point and single-point slings. They're simple and effective. That being said, I'm thinking of picking one of these up...
Personally, I am not liking the sling so far because it lacks the ability to quickly loosen/tighten the sling to your body if the velcro is wrapped around both parts of the sling (not sure how to explain it better). If the velcro is not wrapped around the two slings, then you can adjust it a lot easier, but the velcro will dangle and interfere with your forward hand placement if you're not careful
That is the one trade off. It's a set and forget type sling. The upside is the bungee as well as the quick release. Usually I get a sling where I like it and leave it.
How wide is the nylon where you attached the magpul QDM? Would a 1" qd sling mount fit there? The magpul one is 1.25" so looking at your video at 1:10, it should work.
I have this sling. There's a newer quick-adjust version out now. I dislike the lack of padding. It's not appreciably better than the $10 CVLife sling I got on eBay (which actually is a good sling).
Man, I am super envious of that rifle setup lol. MDRx with the BLK LBL bipod, WPSN sling, and a Vortex LPVO?? Dream setup right there. Not to mention the light and the ridiculously long can lol, but that's manageable with the MDRx being a bullpup. What do you currently have it chambered in, 6.5 Creed?
@@Gruntreviews Yeah I've heard from a couple of people that the wait time is at least 15 months right now, which is terrible. That's why whenever I can afford to get a can, I want to Form 1 it lol, but that's still a long way in the future.
Unrelated question, but have you continued testing on the SDS Imports M12AB shotgun? I'm still eyeing it as a good apartment-defense gun, and your videos on it are the only ones out there. Didn't know if it's still holding up for ya, thanks.
@@That_Guy5575 man, I've been asked this a few times. I've got probably 7-8k rounds through the turkish shotguns. They make great range toys. If you want a home defense shotgun, get a 1301 or m4, if you want a bullpup get a TS12. I just don't trust the turkish stuff with my life at this point.
I don't like any bungee. Heat, Cold, use will cause the elasticity to wear out, and I expect to be using my various weapons a lot in the future. I would not trust a magnet used in the clip for any reason, and I don't understand the need when a QD mount is used. For the $80 price tag I'll stick with Blue Force Gear, Vickers but only with METAL hardware.
There's definitely a healthy profit margin in them. That's pretty much everything in the accessory world. That being said, I do like the fact that they are made in the USA.
80 bucks is kinda steep, but it's on par with some of the other really high quality slings out there like the Vicker's sling. Frank Proctor way of the gun sling is only 45 but that only has para cord on the ends to attach with from what I can see.
The magnet will fry the compass in your watch. You can fix it but you have to calibrate the compass many many times. If you get a regular compass near the magnet... She gone!! Kinda sucks bc of the location you can't wear a Garmin watch or a watch band compass. Unless you flip the sling backwards, end for end.
@@Gruntreviews really?? It fried two watch band compass. My Garmin was off 25-30° which is huge for me as a land surveyor my compass is a daily use. I really like the the sling but those magnets are strong. Every time I used my gun the next day I noticed the compass was off. I would rotate the watch doing the figure 8 and it would never show the "ok"screen. Now I remove my watch when I shoot.
@@Gruntreviews just an FYI. As far as the sling goes it's great. I have it on a Scar 17 loaded down 12.5 lbs with everything on it, full mag, and the sling doesn't bounce around. It really holds it close and it hits the shoulder pocket easily when the timer buzzes. Very fast, easy to run, when I switch over to pistol and drop rifle my suppressor doesn't burn me. Just me experience.

When you order the sling you have the option to add the QD mounts for extra. Not including but they have them as an option.
No one includes hardware anymore. Moot point or as Joey says it a MOO POINT.

Still trying to get the WPS sling in black but it still shows out of stock to me.
I'm guessing either demand is high or supply is low. I had to keep checking until it finally showed in stock.
It’s in stock now
And it looks like both colors are in stock too
Is that shellback your go to PC or did you just grab it for the vid?
Was actually shooting the range portion of my review the same day.

So far so good. I've got 3 of them now on various platforms.

Think I'd prefer the bungee be towards the front of the rifle instead. Where it is, it tends to bind up on my back at high carry.

is there a manufacturer mark on the magnet buckle, and if so, who is it?
There wasn't a mark. I looked it up at one point, I believe it's fidlock.
If I get one of these how do u install it on my sig sauer m400 tread? Do I need the qd swivels?
I'd recommend the qd swivels, but it can be used with hooks or looped over the buttstock/sling loop.
