The best sling is still a piece of nylon webbing with a plastic backpack adjuster at the front. I've tried all the Gucci slings, VTAC, Blueforce, Haley, etc. The backpack strap is the GOAT. Slings are like gun oil. Some people will always insist on paying $300 per liter for "super-duper spec-ops tactical oil" while others have realized that the quart of motor oil on the workbench does the exact same thing.
That's all they did. They hung out, chatted a bit and demoed it. They even pointed out that it had all been done before Sounds like somebody was a sleepy grumpy boy and ran to the comments
I too despise slings, but I understand their place. I “fixed” the sling on my rifle with duct tape. It’s adjustable simply by adjusting the stock. Having all that strapping just hanging around drove me nuts. No more.
These guys are great I’m going to grab a few of these slings and support these guys. Cole and DJ are good dudes and Mike Glover is a professional student which is what I’m constantly training to be I’m not married to a particular system if I see a better way or different tactics I’ll evolve and I’ve watched enough of Mikes content I can tell he’s the same way. It’s just refreshing to have guys that have been there and done it transfer this knowledge to us, the people they spent their careers protecting, thank you all for your service to our nation and continuing to give us the tools, training and mindset to be responsible citizens always prepared for the fight.
If you are looking for a good 2 point/1 point QD mount conversion sling on a budget check out the UTG Bolla. I got one for $37 and like most UTG stuff lately it’s good bang for your buck. It has a unique adjustment strap system that works super smooth and is super easy to grab on to

At 5:35 Is it just me or does the reasoning behind which arm you put through the sling seem counterintuitive? In a rural environment why would need or want to switch shoulders? I see the ability to easily switch shoulders far more beneficial in cqb
My brother in law was w/ the 9 th Infantry division, Riverine Patrol unit. He carried the M-60 plus a couple 200 rd linked bands. He just had shoulder surgery, after injuries from 54 years ago carrying the " pig" as he call the M-60 painful recovery from such surgery. Re-inventing the wheel 🙄 I think we all have an adjustable two point sling. I use the mag-pul MS-2 or MS-4 with the “ buckle “ for lack of a better word which is used to adjust. No sling piece hanging out to get caught in a fence or something.
Yea these guys are literally copying what people have been doing forever, even the sling in the video looks just like an Ed Sherman Designs sling, same pattern and everything....
Depends on your body type, and what you're doing with the rifle. I set mine up using the sling loop on my stock, and a chunk of paracord to connect near the magwell(I don't like how QDs rattle). I don't like having it down near the muzzle because it's something else to get hung up on shrubbery(same reason I don't like a bipod on the front of my gun all the time). But I did my time in reconnaissance, and my rifle sees more time in the bush than a flat range. Don't overthink it. It's pretty easy to move around in all different kinds of ways. Try a few and see what you like.
