You can't get the item from the bug boy unless you have a bottle. Though I admit, it's been so long I have forgotten if he tells you what he has or not if you talk to him without a bottle.
@@LiminalityCarb in the randomizer, no his text is till the same you won't know what he has till he hands it over. Mm never realized you needed a bottle first. and not sure it's true in the randomizer as some rules are changed. For instance the book will tell you what item is in the master sword pedestal so if you get the book you can make the check without needing the three amulets. I do see people playing the randomizer and forget to check either bug boy, back of tavern, or in the dark world, the C-house. Three notoriously unchecked chests.
@@xenxander Back of tavern and C-house I can see ESPECIALLY for new players who've not played the base game much, (and/or haven't done the any% NMG run as C-house is where 1/2 of your flipper money is). But yeah, the bottle requirement is why people forget bug catching kid because often you have to get him on a later trip.
He didn't check bug boy's 'net' item in the village first visit before leaving.
I hope that won't come back to bite him.
