I love this. I knew players would want to save marines. I remember watching a friend play T&R on a beta version and he felt so guilty when his marines died he kept starting the level over and over. It didn’t matter to him that the same marines would keep re-spawning, he took it seriously. It wasn’t a game.
Oh damn, cheers Marty! The legend himself, thank you. Honestly I'm pleased to hear that even in the days of Halo's development, people would go to lengths to save the marines. But hey honestly, cheers for the comment Marty, I really appreciate it. I have great respect for you and the team for creating one of the best experiences in gaming.

But books, movies and video games by necessity need to have endings. These two forces are in constant tension.
funny thing is? if it were modern live service all the scripted deaths would be patched. the marines who are meant to die would die, whether you want it or not.
Honestly the best part of this isn't that you saved the marines, or that you detailed how to save everyone: It's that you added all of the side material explaining what was happening between missions of the game. Props to you for keeping things both interesting and showing off for those of us who don't have the homework.
I felt so Badass playing as Noble Six and realizing I was humanity’s last hope, I’ll never forget when Halsey said “Say the words please” and Six said “the words please”
when me and my brother played coop and we were in a warthog we would always have another marine in the passenger seat and i would always force us to reload to last save if he died lol
Man actually completed a challenge so daring it fell in line with the canon. Chief in the lore tries to save as many marines he can, the fact that Saint Jam pulls it off so well makes me think our boy is a both an absolute fan, and an absolute mad lad.
Makes me think how many colonies were left by the time of the battle for earth hell tbh I'm surprised humanity was able to recover from this near extinction event
Holy shit... not only did this guy make an interesting challenge. He also went through what exactly went down in the lore and told it like a story. it even gave goosebumps at the ending... Love to see it man! Keep this up!
@@Saint_Jam cant understate how much i liked this man, just as halo began to get stagnant, you retell it in a completely unique way... i actually felt bad when the soldiers of alpha base died B(. Those novels make halo hit soo much harder than the games alone
You need to show this to Marty. He's the one who insisted on friendly marines and thought that players would want to save all the marines. This is the fulfillment of his prophecy. Thanks to him, you were even able to do this challenge in the first place
I’m so happy that you’re keeping this series, it’s so creative and I feel like at least everyone wants to save people but normally, I just give up after 10 minutes
I love these absolutist challenges. From as early as when I first played halo 1 as a kid to now, I still try my best to save all marines and elites throughout the games.
When I was a kid, we used to try and save everyone too. However, you saved like wayyyy more people than I thought possible. Thank you for fulfilling that childhood dream of saving them all
While I still don't understand the whole lore behind that character, but learning that he spent the whole game hunting the Chief only to die instantly during the Chief's escape was hilarious.
@@silentkhaos1176 That's pretty much the short story of it. Dude hunts Master Chief, has a whole host of lore, goes through an entire character arc, fought through hell and high water to finally meet his mortal enemy... Then gets absolutely fucking obliterated instantly.
30:00 it's possible to save the 5 marines that are dropped by the pelican. It's just very hard and takes a long time. You need to do the skip where you safely jump off the bridge and get inside the Worthog and push the marines to the other side to the dirt path coming from the door. Then find a banshee and go back up to the bridge and play the level like normal. When you get down there the marines will be alive and not moving, the will start moving and following you when you reach the scorpion tank and the Sargent.
@@cosmictreason2242 it's very difficult but doable. Best to get an auto save before hand, I had to go all the way over to the underground bridge before I hit one.
Seeing some of clips here honestly makes me feel like this is how chief fights. Like at 22:03, I could totally imagine chief jumping behind two hunters and slamming a round in each of their backs
Absolutely, especially when other people's lives are in the line. I see Chief as the man who moves mountains to make sure no one else dies if he can help it. It's not much, but he's doing his part
@@Saint_Jam What's your opinion on the halo wars games and Bungie today? personal I do consider the halo games made by 343 cannon the only reason for me allowing 5 in their is because Halo Infinity is so good campaign wise and now pretty good multiplayer wise as well. But the "halo show" can go to hell, in fact the act man made a pretty good rewrite of it.
James: "Just put them in the warthog and leave them there." Well yeah, except when I try it they shout "Wait for me!" And switch to the driver seat and proceed to follow.
holy shit dude the fact you managed to save them all on 343 guilty spark is insane, i remember trying for hours when i was younger but could never save them
There’s another video (sorry, forget the name of it) where someone does a breakdown of the code on that level and the marines are literally labeled as “beef” or something like that indicating they are meant to be consumed by the flood.
This series is one of the most unique pieces of gaming content on YT. Managing to bring back these old games in a new light by not only attempting these challenges but using it to explain/create the surrounding story is brilliant.
Jam: "We are playing on Heroic" Also Jam: "I'm going to use the Legendary speech, cause Johnson deserves nothing LESS than that and it's the best of all the speeches to boot."
This was phenomenal from start to end. I've never seen deeper lore of a universe so intertwined with gameplay commentary. It made it so much more interesting if you had just done a basic guide on saving every marine in CE with some shitposting sprinkled in there.
Read all the novels(till first 343 trilogy) and been a Halo fan for 20 year and never seen a video mesh the deep lore and a gameplay video so well. The insane challenge is just icing on the cake
Unbelievable video - unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. Challenge run, walkthrough, and lore all intertwined into a perfectly paced story. Bra-fucking-vo my guy!
its extremely refreshing to see a youtuber who has such a genuine love for what he does and to put in so many hours of hard work to provide entertainment for likeminded people. he could have easily just made a guide on how to save all marines, cold, calculated and only there to achieve results but his combination of the lore, his love for the franchise and his drive to make high quality entertainment is truly astonishing for someone with such a low sub count. His work deserves far more than he currently has and I'd predict that in the next 12 months his channel is going to sky rocket to the level of TheActMan and others. I'd be very surprised if TheActMan doesn't already have him on his scope and is watching. Absolutely loved the video my guy, keep up the good work, it will all pay off in the end I'm sure.
Cheers king, Yeah honestly I appreciate it a lot, AHah everyone loves a good story, and I love telling them! These are all love letters to these wonderful games, it's hard not to be excited 😄
@@shasha6337 wtf. let's ignore... sales numbers, profits, and concurent players for a moment, mostly cause I cannot be bothered to look that up right now. And instead look to the number of games that have references to halo, or outright crossovers. Vs the number Destiny has... One is higher than 0, hell, destiny references halo. Multiple times. The other is 0. Most gamers, who have not played halo, will know who master chief is, at least in passing. And even some non gamers. Most gamers, who have not played either destiny game, will not know of commander zavala or cayde 6. So please tell me how destiny made a larger splash than halo has?
These challenges are like the opposite of speedruns where usually the npcs are treated like objects. These challenges are so fitting for master chief, I can't wait to see this challenge in 2 and 3.
This video is a masterpiece, managed to fulfill the childhood "dream" of saving every possible marine, all well complemented by polished editing, great narration and lore insights. That last section man... I'm not ashamed to say that it moved me a bit, well spoken, full of sincerity, passion and most importantly, truth. This is a celebration of halo on par with Crowbcat's "Remember Halo", be proud of this piece of work. Hope the next Halo video will come out one day, In the meantime, have my thanks for cherishing and keeping alive classic Halo and the memories bound to it, hats off.
Honestly I'm glad people saw how this video was such a love letter to one of the greatest games ever made. The game, the story, the lore, I wanted to do justice for all of this, and I'm glad my message resonated with people. Legit I'll be cooking up more Halo videos trust me, we've got a lot to cover. Thank you so much king!
32:07 Fireteam Zulu probably never got that evac. In the very next room, when you come back through the area in Two Betrayals, you get ambushed by a group of exclusively human Flood combat forms. Sounds like they took cover inside and were watching the doors, not the vents.
Wow... this brings me back to my childhood... I loaded checkpoints each time I lost a Marine, leaving them behind so they don't die. Staying alone on missions after giving them my best weapons so they can defend themselves waiting for evac. And all these details... added to the lore... you did an awesome and original work here. I watched all the serie in one day. Keep this up ! You can''t imagine how badly I wanted to see someone doing this masterpiece.
My favorite part was when Jimmy Rings looked directly at the camera and said "these are my master cheeks" and then slapped his own ham hocks for forty five uninterrupted minutes
Agreed: it was a nice challenge wrapped in a lot of good storytelling/expanded Halo 1 lore, plus the final pouring out of a halo fan's heart. I don't hate 343i, but it's sad to see what fate befell Halo. Even Bungie today is not the Bungie of Halo 1-3, ODST and Reach, but I do hope to see once more an 'old-style' Halo game in the future.
@@kinghoodofmousekind2906 thankfully The MCC Team got to Infinite recently but i hope one day ID Software could make a Halo Game (mainly for og halo fans that hate 343 for some reason)
I love this series, like Pavlov and his dogs, I hear the background theme and I am conditioned to know that somewhere a man is being saved, enemy forces are being held back and the world will be a better place.
Late but i wanted to give u my appreciation for this. As a kid I always did this with marines, that even tho they technically never went anywhere I always loved to imagine those I saved would regroup and form bases and fight back and seeing this done so magnificently is amazing. I thank you for making child self happy
"if any marine is NOT looking at you, they WILL die" i can only imagine the testing process for trying to save these marines, and discovering that. ahahah
The Silent Cartographer is the only level I can beat without the covenant killing the marines. Instead I would come back to where they were and see they are in the same position they were in, but not movie. After long examination I would conclude they are dead, and think that level was just bugged. Now I know this was implemented on purpose.
The speech at the end about Halo, Bungie's vision, and the story felt so real. I can tell merely from the tone how much this series means to you. and while I am deeply unqualified, I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me want to make that wiki myself
What makes you unqualified, exactly? Anyone can look through the games, scour them for information. See the old bungie vidocs, and read the old novels. After that, it's just colating the data, and then desgining a website, something easier than ever before these days with assistance to do it.
@Destroyer_V0 I struggle greatly due to mental illness as well as extreme executive disfunction. I literally cannot get my brain to function on that level long enough to even read a book, no matter how hard I try. Even audio books are a struggle.
Im suprised you didnt mention that the marines you save in "assault on the control room" are the same group of marines in "two betrayals" that you find infected without weapons one room just before you exit to the cold again 😮
I love finding small channels with inexplicable production quality and enough memes slipped in to keep me on me toes. I look forward to this series continuing!
I admire your dedication and respect for the original halo lore. When I saw how you saved those marines that were "scripted" to die, I knew this video was going to be a great ride. Will you do the same with the following games? Because I have no idea if it's actually possible to pull the same things you did in this one.
@@cosmictreason2242 i played the games back on 2020 and i agree with your statement dude 343 made the story even more confusing but i still beleve that saint went kinda too far
Spartans never die, they’re just missing in action. - Dr. Halsey I plan on writing a bungie-style halo fan novel on a spartan 3 and a squad of odsts completing missions on various planets, and I hope the halo community who loves the OG games will enjoy my novel. This video was totally awesome and not what I expected at all. 10/10 props to you
an interesting detail: in the Pillar of Autum, in the 2011 graphical overhaul (originally done by Bungie), some of the marines leading up the bridge who are dead and propped up against walls, are in fact animated as alive and injured. That adds about 5-7 more survivors.
I have to say, because of your saving every scientist video I specifically decided to create a system about rewarding saving all characters in my game that I am currently working on because of your awesome videos!
YOOO Nice! Yeah I think that would be a wonderful idea, people get attached to characters and friendlies in games all the time, I think it would be really worth it. But hey, no matter what Good luck with your game man!
Saving those 3 marines in 343 Guilty Spark is one of the best feelings ever, especially when you're late and the Flood are already swarming them. Great video.
23:30 I can just imagine the Marines just huddling together... hiding, as the Covenant are too busy with Master Chief going on a rampage to notice the marines, and if any find the marines...then NO WITNESSES SURVIVE
The way this video is presented is very very unique and special, it’s not just an entertaining challenge video it’s a lore lesson as well. And the ending speech was masterful, it put into words what Halo fans from the beginning have been feeling for years
During the Pillar of Autumn section, I'm surprised you didn't mention the heroic efforts of Fireteam Raven, who managed to reactivate a section of point defence guns and destroy a significant amount of Covenant spacecraft, while also keeping the drop pod bays secure from the alien assault. They even run into the Master Chief as he boards the lifepod to escape to Halo. Unfortunately, Fireteam Raven would not survive the Battle of Installation 04, making a desperate last stand against Covenant and Flood forces to buy the Chief as much time as possible to detonate the Pillar's reactor. Edit: I seem to have caused a war in the reply section. I wouldn't go in there without a sealed combat suit, and I also wash my hands of that entire argument.
Your ending monologue on the state of Halo really hit home and was worded far better than what I could ever hope to express so thanks for including that
To me it just seemed like pointless, generic, hatred-fueled "Only my opinion matters, I deem this not real (insert here) because I don't tolerate those with different opinions." Junk I see everywhere these days.
"with only certain elements being included", is silvertongue legalese for "we'll include TV series stuff into the wiki's core canon if we FEEL it's appropriate...or if Microsoft give$ u$ a rea$on to add certain element$ to the core canon". I'm not buying it, this is obviously a bunk policy by design.
I firmly believe these writers/showrunners were never Halo fans and possibly never even played the games. All they had to do was retell the story of the games/add in backstory for side characters as they see fit. The Halo show gave me the same sleazy vibes that Rings of Power did…though, I honestly am still more angry about Rings of Power (you just don’t do that sh*t to Tolkien’s world man). Made by people who think they can tell a better story than the source material.
@@I_enjoy_some_things Not only are you correct about that, not only did Microsoft intentionally looked for people who weren't fans of Halo to make the show, but the show runners and writers openly said how much they did not care about the games or the story of Halo and didn't so much as play a single game or read a single one of its books. This isn't a secret, it was practically advertised as a 'good thing' that the people making the show didn't care about Halo in practically every news site that covered the TV show being released. But even despite how everyone shat all over that tv show and how universally hated it was... it's still getting a season 2! Because god they need to kill Halo faster some how and I guess the first bullet to the back of the head wasn't enough so they decided to double tap the corpse.
@@I_enjoy_some_thingsthis is why i reject the legal/corporate owner theory of canonicity. Canon is determined by internal consistency, realism (eg lore that makes physical sense supersedes lore end that violates physics) and coherence with preexisting lore.
Words can't describe my excitement when this popped up from the depths of the algorithm. After seeing speedrunners executing these brave boys over and over and being just as disheartened as when my co-op partners would do it as a kid, finally redemption. Marines are the heart of this entire franchise. You even include a hearty dose of lore before and during, detailing events in Fall of Reach and Halo's novelization, the Flood, some true classic stuff.
3:25 "Helmed by the best officer in the navy" At the time, yes, but the best UNSC officer _ever_ was gigachad vice admiral Preston Cole - you know, the guy who made the Cole Protocol that Keyes references at the beginning of Halo: CE. Story with spoilers for Halo: Evolutions and Halo Wars: Genesis below: For those unfamiliar with his story, he basically defeated the Covenant on every single sortie, often vastly outnumbered. The best is the one involving his disappearance, in which he led a battle group against a massively superior force (162 ships vs over 300 - sHiPmAstEr, tHeY OuTnumBeR us ThReE to oNe!). He split his force into two and hid behind a planet, attacking the Covenant from both sides as they approached. As they tried to regroup, a goddamn _Insurrectionist_ battle group led by gigachadette Lyrenne Castilla (technically his WIFE, a really epic story in its own right; she fought him 3 times, escaping twice and reaching a stalemate once; she was also the first ever to execute an in-atmosphere slipspace jump) arrived to reinforce and assblast the Covenant from the rear. They then withdrew into slipspace, presumably to avoid possible UNSC fire. However, ANOTHER Covenant fleet numbering over 200 then entered from slipspace to reinforce. Cole ordered the rest of his fleet to fall back, while he went full speed towards the gas giant, Viperidae, TAUNTING the Covenant the entire way, saying how he kicked their ass and calling their religion dumb. The Covie fleet, enraged by his taunts, ignored the rest of his ships and chased after him alone. He flew so close to Viperidae that the electromagnetic field made the Covenant plasma-based weapons unable to accurately hit his ship. As he circled in orbit, he fired all of his nukes (a hundred) into the planet, causing all of the gas to spontaneously undergo nuclear fusion. The Covenant fleet was utterly obliterated. But it doesn't end there. The best part is he ALMOST CERTAINLY SURVIVED. An ONI investigation after the battle believes he planned a stunt of this kind the whole time: before the battle he had requested a total transfer of personnel on board his ship, the Everest, presumably to ensure he had only his best and most trustworthly loyalists on board; he had consulted the Reach super-AI network on how to make a slipspace jump from a gas giant identical to Viperidae; and he probably used a derelict ship he requisitioned, the Io, as a decoy that he detonated to disguise his slipspace jump (the second-ever in-atmosphere jump) after he nuked the planet. The ONI report concludes that he is probably now living retired as a farmer with his wife and their child on a remote colony planet. You can't not be happy for them. Though they also got pretty lucky - Capt. Keyes, Miranda and Johnson were all really badass in their own right, but didn't get nearly as fortunate an ending. The writers of Halo really knew how to tug at the heartstrings...
Oh 100%, I think Preston Cole is actually the real hero and legend within Halo. I'd honestly say he's the equal with Master Chief, both of them have been instrumental in saving Mankind. Just yeah by the end of the 27 year war, Captain Keyes was the last, best officer they had on hand
@@Saint_Jam For sure! But it's honestly hard to measure after a point because everyone is so interconnected. Halsey and Cortana are up there too (though not officers as such?), but there are for sure situations where they wouldn't have made it without more help, like obviously getting off of Reach without the assistance of Noble team. Same for Johnson and Arbiter helping Chief, or Ms Castilla/Mrs Cole helping Preston. It's hard to quantify, and probably shouldn't be, at least not too much! One of the things that is most awesome about Halo's storytelling is how the odds are always stacked against humanity, but time and time again you get to see small acts of heroism and moments of genius that make a huge difference. Keyes had many of such moments, and went down incredibly bravely. Anyway great video dude, really inspired stuff, can't wait to see your Halo 2 playthrough!
Cole didnt defeat the covenant while outnumbered very often. In halo evolutions it says that cole averaged 3 UNSC ships for every covenant ship destroyed. He also preferred to retreat whenever his forces had similar or less ships than the covenant.
It's so awesome you put together all the lore about what was happening around the ring to the rest of the UNSC forces other than Chief. As someone who's never read the books I really appreciate this video that slots into place not only the timeline of events outside the game but also slots them into 'real time' with what Chief goes through in the game. And well done on saving the marines :)
They only didn’t like people who weren’t Bungie working on Halo but they did accept at least Nylund’s 3 as canon plus Contact Harvest written by Staten and in fact the reason why the Fall of Reach was so heavily retconned (other than the parts that were simply miscommunications between Bungie and Nylund like Elites and Hunters not showing up until 2552) by Halo Reach is because Frank O’Connor wrote most of the plot, also we can see that Bungie’s writers saved it from being Halo 5 tier
It’s crazy because I imagine half the episode will just be. “So hang back in this room and let the enemies come to you.” Or: “Rush forward in front of your ally’s and kill all the enemies as soon as possible.” But I know it’ll be even more than that. Especially the setup of saving all the non-heretical Covenant on the Arbiter’s missions, telling their side of the story. Only to finally merge in Halo 3. What a lovely way to experience Halo all over again.
The edits at the start are absolutely beautiful. They make me feel genuine emotion, often for games that are far in my backlog (ironically halo ce is the one game you’ve done not in my backlog), but I just think the intros alone are some of the best on RUclips.
I watched this with two friends today, we've all played the Halo games and read the books (a portion of them), and enjoyed it. One friend in particular who laments 343's bastardization the most of us said out loud "Its rare to find someone who ACTUALLY understands the series" and I could tell it meant a lot to see someone who really GETS it. Subbed!
What a beautiful video. Halo was my childhood, I spent many, many hours playing Halo CE in particular, and I always tried to save as many marines as I could. I never knew about that trick to save the marines/ODSTs in the Truth and Reconciliation, nor was I ever able to save more than about half the marines in 343 Guilty Spark. This was such a fitting eulogy for a series hard done by. Really well done!
Honestly I would love to see him do a like, one of these on one of the metro games where he kills no one including mutants (unless he absolutely has to)
Metro-especially 2033 and Last Light-would be very difficult to adapt to this format, as they don’t really contain friendly NPCs who can be saved, apart from one section in Last Light where you can save some civilians from bandits, one of whom is very difficult to save. Ultimately, with how Metro’s morality system works, it would almost be a standard good ending playthrough. Then again, I would’ve thought that Dawn of War was impossible, yet he managed to do it.
In relation to the ending, i will argue that Halo has been doing incredibly well ever since Bonnie Ross left. Only makes me wish Pierre had been studio head from the start. That guy really does seem to respect the players and fans and I’m actually excited to see what the new Halo expériences will be like under his wing.
@@Destroyer_V0 For real. There was this video I saw yesterday called “343 fired an employee for this…” and guess what? It happened 7 years ago… Everybody in the comments are still complaining about things the company did years ago when Bonnie Ross was still the head of the company. She’s gone and they’re acting like the 343 of then is still the 343 of today. We got what we wanted. The company has genuinely improved so much since the leadership change, but these people simply refuse to see it and bring back arguments from the Bonnie Ross era as if Pierre is responsible for it. It’s like they missed a chapter because they were too busy hating on 343 as opposed to catching up and seeing how the company has actually improved for the best
I don’t think the situation has changed at all, getting rid of Bonnie, Frank, and Kiki means nothing after the 10 years of damage they’ve dealt, and it certainly doesn’t fix Infinite awful business model and empty Farcry-wannabe campaign.
@@Slender_Man_186 Like I said, staying upset at things that happened years ago is useless. I don’t consider the 343 of now the same as it was before. Leadership is everything in a company. Halo 4, 5 and Infinite won’t ever change the way they are and that’s a fact everybody knows. They will forever be tainted by the crap Bonnie Ross put on the franchise at the time. However, the effects of the new leadership change are already noticeable. There’s already more good being done to both MCC and Infinite than there ever had been back when Bonnie Ross was in charge. The updates to Infinite are now finally consistent even directly listening to community feedback, they got rid of the temporary contract hire thing 343 had for a decade, MCC was fixed by Pierre and his team (which a lot of people are calling the definitive Halo experience) and is now studio head. There’s an actual reason to be hopeful for Halo’s future now. Maybe not everyone shares the same feeling, but I don’t think there has ever been a better time to give both positive and negative feedback on the state of Infinite and Halo in general because 343 will now actually take the time to try and fix those things as best they can while answering Microsoft’s demands. Could be I’m delusional too, I don’t know. Though I do know that some of my friends who have never enjoyed Halo in the past are actually growing fond of Infinite now which is something I never even thought could be possible. Just feels like the whole vibe of Halo has been more positive recently which brings people in.

Then find a banshee and go back up to the bridge and play the level like normal. Unfortunately, Fireteam Raven would not survive the Battle of Installation 04, making a desperate last stand against Covenant and Flood forces to buy the Chief as much time as possible to detonate the Pillar's reactor.

Story with spoilers for Halo: Evolutions and Halo Wars: Genesis below:
For those unfamiliar with his story, he basically defeated the Covenant on every single sortie, often vastly outnumbered.
A true hero.
Your channel is the pinnacle of Humanity.
talking about the "untainted bungie lore" is really funny considering how much bungie DESPISED the books lmao.

Halo 2 is going to be an interesting one! I used to do something like this when I was younger trying to save everyone. Brought back so much memories!
Halo 2 will absolutely be the hardest

24:22 hunt down the freeman jumpscare
Glad this is continuing. The marines will be remembered and saved. However Johnson is so badass he doesn't need to be saved until the books or Halo 3.
MARINES! OORAH
I was waiting for this video, the Halo UNSC marines and ODST may be the best Friendly AI I've seen in a game
Subbed!
Amen. Forerunners are ancient humans
Damn why did you have to make it emotional at the end!? Dayum I love you for this.
The way you tell the story with the extended lore added in makes me want a Halo CE movie all the more
Honestly I would love to see him do a like, one of these on one of the metro games where he kills no one including mutants (unless he absolutely has to)
Metro-especially 2033 and Last Light-would be very difficult to adapt to this format, as they don’t really contain friendly NPCs who can be saved, apart from one section in Last Light where you can save some civilians from bandits, one of whom is very difficult to save. Ultimately, with how Metro’s morality system works, it would almost be a standard good ending playthrough.
Then again, I would’ve thought that Dawn of War was impossible, yet he managed to do it.

This video is a grandslam. Classic gameplay plus the deep lore dive, with just the right amount of RP. Well done SaintJam
Amazing story telling!
Clicked on it thinking it will be a gameplay challenge but the way you presented it was incredible. Hats Off Soldier.
A shame bonnie ross drove away so many with her actions then.
@@Destroyer_V0 For real. There was this video I saw yesterday called “343 fired an employee for this…” and guess what? It happened 7 years ago…
Everybody in the comments are still complaining about things the company did years ago when Bonnie Ross was still the head of the company.
@@SilverGeFer i wish 343 could start from scratch but Microsoft and Bonnie Ross screwed them up bad so 343 is getting too much hate like i feel everything was gona be diferent if Halo 4 wasnt on 360 and Halo 5 had its original story (and that we knew of Locke more too)
I am truly at a loss for words at how good this is. Halo Combat Evolved was the first video game I ever played. I remember even back then playing missions trying to keep as many marines alive as possible in halo ce, 2, 3, and reach. I still go back and replay each game every now and then.
I still always do everything I can to protect my allies in video games, I just can’t help but try to keep as many alive as possible. Even still I think it’s safe to say you’ve one upped me by doing what even I haven’t accomplished.
I’m subbed now and looking forward to more, gonna go watch your previous vids now.
42:30 Oh boy, the Library! Man I love that mission!
...why are you all looking at me like that?
Absolutely amazing. 15 mins in and this is already one of the best put together Halo videos I've seen in ages. Challenge run and lore and meme dump with an incredible narrative, youre not even a dedicated Halo channel. Great editing. Definitely worth a sub and watching your backlog
Not only did I just open yt to sit down and eat and I see this masterpiece. But the editing and memes got better. You can definitely tell that a lot of work was put into shots, editing, camera work and just over all the tight ends of story lore and it’s direction. Happy to know that this will be one of those channels people come back too as a gold mine as well as wait for new projects to come. Grate work man keep it up !!!
56:23 all these years I thought the covenant were being stupid and dropping troops on an exploding ship never realized they were being picked up a little detail I missed cause I never stopped to observe.
It's honestly criminal that this guy doesn't have more subscribers. The content you've been making is of incredibly high quality and I can't wait to see more of it
Ohh very cool!
Very glad to see another video as well! Keep up the great work!
Cheers man! I absolutely plan to cook more good stuff for the lads
I just binged all of your vids in the past two days, including the old ones.
You are an S-tier video editor. Perfect pacing, great humor, and very subtly based. You deserve every sub you get, x10.
I didn’t know you could save the marines on truth and reconciliation! That’s awesome!
Haven't watched but i don't know if the ones who stay behind in the control room when you go for keyes and are dead when you come back, can be saved. Curious how if he did
keep these coming saintjam, they are unique, amazing and attention grbbing, i love this "series" you created
