Really enjoyed that guys thanks Yr swim look really hard to be fair fast an very shallow I think that swim will come on more in the autumn ,but fair play you kept the caster an hemp tricking in still grate fishing all round guys loved it my type of fishing aswell
When I fished the Yorkshire rivers, I used Kraft cheese slices rolled into a big ball, then pinched some off & moulded it round a size 6 or 8 hook in the shape of an Arlsey bomb for Chub & Barbel. Kraft slices are best as they aren't as soft & gooey as the cheaper ones. It keeps for weeks even out of the fridge, just in Clingfilm - The Smellier it gets with age the better !!
Catching or not catching am loving these videos - seeing places being fished that I've been to myself many times over the past 40 years - just a shame the river doesn't produce the fish it used to - remember a winning bream bag of 160lb on the ISIS stretch at Benger some years ago - and had many big Tench and Bream myself on that deep Kellaways stretch in days past...
@@petersmith-fg8zx thanks for your comment Peter there have been a few small tench caught lately one was caught yesterday ! Also small skimmers have been caught in the middle section hopefully this is a good sign things seem to be picking up,kind regards John
