Hello Mark, thanks for the video! We’ve met on the Severn last year and believe it or not I used to fish Fiskerton as well. I was a member of the club that allowed you to night fish it. @@peterwebb1026 Hi Pete, yes I remember you, hope, you’re keeping well? I’d love to fish an hour into dark, but as you know we’re not allowed on RDAS, and likewise the day ticket at Fiskerton has a “be off time” currently 19.45, but changes to 18.30 in Oct, and 16.45 in Nov. Just as they’re about to feed you need to be off 🥺 I’m hoping to get back up to Coalport at least once in Sept, Oct & Nov 🤞🏻 Hopefully see you on the bank?
Some nice barbel you caught there and they all looked in mint condition to which is always good to see,but you totally fish different to me and so many others anglers to who are trying to catch barbel or few but very rarely I fish the feeder for them now, but if I do I will put in at least 30 big feeder fulls of bait in before I even put a hook bait on the hook and top up to ,and talking about hemp casters and dead, maggots reason being the are so many other fish in the rivers that will take all the free offerings before barbel even knows that the is any food there unless you land on them, but I fish at Jackfield just up from Coalport have done since I was four so 52 years because I'm 56 next Monday I know that place like the back of my hand, but yes definitely put a video out of the out takes because we all have things go wrong on the bank at times 👍
@@paulcole4902 Thanks Paul. Interestingly I fish the Severn as you say a good hour of baiting up before putting a hook bait out, but that’s because (imo) the barbel swim around in shoals on the Severn so can normally hold a few in the peg (the hemp nearly always gets them feed for me at Coalport). Form what I can make out the Trent fish seem to be swimming alone, hence the just fishing almost immediately (in the previous Fiskerton Vlog I did try my usual Severn tactics without success). Yep things definitely go wrong 😂 I just need to capture a few more to make a worthwhile Vlog 🤞🏻
