Hey Ash, great work. Those wasps lay their eggs in the spiders, which aren’t dead but in a state of paralysis. In no time the eggs will hatch and the larvae start eating that living food store that mum left for them. Pretty fascinating.
Fantastic design on the interior finish. Looking forward to seeing the furniture come to life. The spiders aren’t dead, they’re paralysed so they’re fresh for when the larvae hatch.
What I love, comparing Tiny Shinies to other channels, is you RARELY make dumb design mistakes. I first noticed it with the goat barn stall door opening angle and was disappointed, but you straight away changed it over! Desert Dudes you may be, but Chaos Cowboys definitely not! SO SATISFYING to watch people learn new things, make small mistakes but learn and adapt and avoid making them again. SO RELAXING to watch something appear that doesn’t quite make sense but I can trust you’ve thought it through. I’m thinking there’s a LOT of thinking things through, visualising and watching a few how-to videos. Would love to see this pre production process a bit more for a small project. Very inspiring!

Ashley that plaster job is incredible. Personally I like the wet color. The dry color is close to the green I chose for my kitchen. So I like that color too. What a unique space for your daughter.

I'm REALLY LOVING the 2 color plaster design!!! Example of my brain NOT processing properly. AND- How that sometimes turns into something pretty wonderful: For some reason, at the beginning of the video, I glitched on what the 2nd color (lower) color was going to be. Even tho I HAVE seen before the color choices y'all have made, somehow my brain changed one of them... The new color my brain inserted into the project is a light sky blue color, instead of what y'all have actually chosen! I don't know WHY it did that! But soon, as the video kept playing, as I was watching, I was also daydreaming of what a future early morning wake-up could be like for your daughter... The result was a complete inversion of color reality! This seems so exciting to me! And somehow, very relaxing too! As you were applying the green, I just kept thinking how cool that room will be... (correction: (IS - how cool it already IS !!) The curvy shapes. The earthy colors... Just the ambiance it will be giving, it's already SO nice. In my mind, the ambiance grew. When one looks out the window, the green colors are grounded on the earth, and the blue sky is always on top. But when one is still laying in bed, barely awake, the eyes open, and just for a millisecond - a different reality is introduced... This is when the green earth is on top, and the blue sky is located all around you in the lower half of the room. You just woke up in the sky. I mean... Follow me on this: As she's waking up, the morning light begins to brighten the room. The first thing that's focused on is the dome. The green dome. The soft green colors of the earth. Bcuz she's still laying down, she's still in that half awake state, her eye next gazes lower, just enough light has now filtered thru to reveal the light blue sky color which is immediately surrounding her, enveloping her like a soft hug. In that millisecond just before she's completely awake, her brain naturally works out that she's been sleeping in the sky, and of coarse, her bed must be made of clouds... ☺️ Ahhhh!!! ☺️ What a dreamy way to start the day!!! Hahahaha!!! Gosh! IF ONLY!!! I'm not even kidding, this inversion of reality just made so much sense to my brain in this daydreaming moment!!! Oh how I wish I had a room to wake up with, on a bed of clouds!! I just may have to give this a go at my own house! Ok. 1st - I'm going to need a round room...

I understand you are using earth's materials, hoping you can add blues, greys, green to bring out more of nature's colors. Love the use of bottles. Hoping it would be reasonable to use a beautiful blue on your family home to give homage to the sky. Really admire your family's committement to your off grid life. I am envious. Why not hang some solar sun shade material off your truss roof to block some of that morning sun from hitting the trailer? (We hung some over our front windows which has made a huge difference in reducing heat gain) 2. Have you thought about putting a gutter under your solar array to capture rain water? It is essentially the same as a roof! All the best 😊
