- Hi! Welcome to Bob Jones REALTOR for another WinAir video. 🎥 Gordie Howe International Bridge Bonus Footage from Windsor Ontario.
I wanted to try something new. When I capture video footage to create the Gordie Howe Bridge updates, I gather a lot of footage that doesn’t make it into the construction updates. Even after the first cut, there is some great footage that never gets seen.
That seems to be a waste when community members may enjoy browsing through the unused cuts. So, I thought to post this additional footage, without commentary for those that may enjoy it.
If you think this is a good idea let me know in the comments and I will consider posting the bonus clips a few days after the regular update.
Enjoy!
Don't forget to Like and Subscribe! I'm grateful to everybody that have subscribed and contribute to the community. Thank You!!
Hope you like it. Let me know what you think in the comments, like and subscribe, this is Bob Jones, and I will see you in the next video!

Can’t help but picture formula 1 racing on that track.
Maybe on the week before grand opening
The Grand Opening Grand Prix!!
Motor City Canada!
Or better yet
In conjunction with the US side… and make the racers stop each time at customs just to prove how fast it’s going to be!!!
I want creds for the idea!
Ps, great show Bob!
Howdy Mr. Jones. That would be a pretty cool event indeed! Love the idea. Windsor/Detroit Grand Prix. Lol. They could come over from Detroit and be sent back on the return bridge in the Plaza. I'm sure they would want 200 mile an hour race on a new bridge. I mean what could happen? Great post Mike, thanks for sharing!:)
We all watched as the span inched its way across the river until they were connected. A wonderful accomplishment. That said, on any project no matter the size, the devil is in the details. These bonus footages show how those details are coming along. Please keep them up, the provide a very good idea of the progress.
Hi John. Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I'm thrilled that you find the bonus footage helpful in understanding the project's progress. Your support means a lot!
Yes I like the footage, seeing all the work that going on the port of entry. Keep up the good work, Bob.
That's great Mark. I will do that! Thanks for the compliment.
Bob speaks a broadcaster's voice. So eloquent!
Lol. Awww, . . . your making me blush. Lol. Thank you very much. :)
Bonus clips are a great idea!
Glad to hear that, Louis. Guess I'm going to do that going forward. Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you. Extra footage is always appreciated.
Hi pass00ionate. Lol. I like your nickname. Your welcome. I'll keep it coming. Thanks for the post.
Yes love the extra bits.
Great! Guess I'll make it a habit. Thanks for the feedback!
I enjoy your videos; extra videos of footage that hasn't been seen sound like a good idea.
Hi Tobi. Thanks! I'm always happy to hear feedback, and I'll keep the bonus footage coming. Glad to have you here.
Thanks for the bonus coverage. Enjoyed it as a bonus after your usual excellent edited and commentary. Nice job Bob.
Thank you, Paul. Glad your here.
Bonus clips provide more info on progress, thanks Bob.
Hi Peter. You bet! I'll keep it coming. Thanks for watching.
As far me, this is the most detailed review of the Canadian POE that has been on the channel so far. The previous videos compared to this one are more like a set of pictures as a background to the text you're voicing. I definitely wish there were more additional videos like this
Hi Yur1i. As you wish! I'll keep the bonus videos coming, too!:)
Great idea
Hi Gary. I’m glad you enjoyed it! Then that's what I'm gonna do. :)
Another Great Video
Hi Allen. I appreciate you watching! Thanks for the feedback. :)
I am a detail oriented individual so I do enjoy the extra bits. Such a fascinating project to watch being developed. Thanks Bob.
Hi Robert. I appreciate that. It's a big project and lots of details to take in. I'll keep the bonus footage coming!
I like the idea. Great video.
I appreciate that, Gary. Thanks for the feedback. :)
THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEOS
Hi Garth. You're very welcome! Glad you enjoy the videos. :)
I like it!
Hi AlleyKatt. Good. Then I'll make it part of my routine. Thanks for the feedback! :)
@bobjonesrealtor7756 I've enjoyed your non-bridge videos, too. Don't get over to Windsor-Essex as much as I used to but all of SE Ontario still feels familiar to me.
I'm happy to hear that AlleyKatt. :)
Would be interesting to fly from the 401 to I75, the route that a car would take, and reverse if possible. Thanks
Hello Ronald! That would be a great video! However I'm not licenced to fly in the USA. Thanks for the suggestion. Actually Ronald, let me think about it. I do like the idea. :)
@@bobjonesrealtor7756how about follow road from 401 to bridge centre. (Passing through gate would be really cool if legal) fade out then fade back in coming from centre bridge back through customs gate and out to 401 fade cut print and bobs yer uncle!
A neat spinoff video would be alternate exits leading to different parts of Windsor ie. take this ramp, next right to riverside… or ramp to Huron church right and heading to Erie shoreline drive with wineries, beaches, cottages, fishing…
Plugging local businesses.
That's some great feedback and a nice expansive compliment to Ronald's idea, Mike. I like the Erie Shoreline Drive idea. We have a hundred miles of shoreline along the Essex County Peninsula loaded with fun stuff. Thanks for the feedback buddy.
Absolutely Incredible Bob.
The Detroit River is no longer frozen?
It has been cold for a while, or is this from a couple of flyovers in the past?
Hey FoolsAmoungUs. No. This was six or seven days after the video with the river frozen. Thanks for the compliment.
Footage is great. I like it. Be interested to know how much expansion they expect the road bed to move yearly at each expansion joint.
I looked for an answer to that exact question a while back and couldn't find an answer. However that is a great question and I will keep my ears and eyes open for the answer.
@@bobjonesrealtor7756 Thank you.
My pleasure.
Please add the extra footage, I look forward to all the news about the bridge. I have a question that you may answer but I haven't heard what they are going to do. I want to bike/walk over the bridge. Were I be able to park on the Canadian side. I expect they will charge for parking. Keep the videos coming.
Hi John. Will do! I really don't know what they are going to do about parking. It's a good question and I'll keep my ears and eyes open for an answer.
Still some minor construction on highway 3 at the big culvert but not much else happening til spring
Hi dodgetech. I thought they were done for the year when the asphalt plants closed. I'll get out there to check it out. Thanks for the heads up.
Hello there Mr Bob Jones.
Just wondering how much footage is actually shot before you do the editing and posting the updates?
Cheers from 🇦🇺
Hi Mick. I have three batteries for my drone. Each is good for about 30 minutes, a little less in cold weather. So 60 to 75 minutes or so. If I get ground footage I might add thirty to forty minutes to that. I try to get a eight to ten minute video from that. Cheers!
Can’t help but picture formula 1 racing on that track.

That’s a great idea! It would be a good way to test it out and make sure it’s ready for its grand opening! :)
Would love ta come up there and live and work!! Tired of living in the Old USA!!✝
Hey William. Both countries have their ups and downs. Being your dollar is worth thirty plus cents more that the Canadian dollar, I might wait until things balance out a little. :) Your more than welcome however. Love to have you as a neighbour!
@@bobjonesrealtor7756 Thanks!! Let ole' Trump calm down!! He's on his high horse!!
Ok Bob a bit of a long one here from me. Post the outtakes this is history you are filming here. At the 14 min mark this young man is doing it all wrong in respect to being tied off. Again. A La Prochaine my friend
Hey Thomas. Somebody else mentioned that as well. Good eye.

Hello Peter and Janice. :) Glad to have you watching!
Great idea
That's great to hear! I'm always looking for new ways to share the footage with you. :)
