    how does piston moves up

    • @superchargedpetrolhead

      piston is connected to the crank via a connecting rod, so as the crank shaft rotates the piston moves up and down.

    • @charlieniven6558
      @charlieniven6558 Год назад +2

      The other pistons on the rod are forced down by the explosion in their cylinder, due to the shape of the connecting rod it forces the piston up releasing the exhausted gas mixture

      Think of it like a bicycle crank, you push down the pedal which spins the crank and then even if you stop pedaling the crank keeps spinning for some time.
      This is similar but here the piston pushes down during power stroke and that power is enough to keep the crank rotating and piston moving till the next power stroke.

    • @superchargedpetrolhead
      @superchargedpetrolhead  Год назад

      In old days there will be a carburettor before the intake which will inject the fuel..nowadays there is a fuel injector, which sprays the fuel at high pressure...the injector can be located before the intake port in which case it is called as port injection or the injector will be located in the chamber itself opposite to the sparkplug in that case it is called as direct injection.

    Hi, is it normal for the fuel to be on top of piston or after overall the engine the car doesn't start when you open spark plug you founf fuel on top of piston? Is it fin or bed? Or does the car need a kick start to start?bcz on narl start it doesn't...

    • @superchargedpetrolhead
      @superchargedpetrolhead  9 месяцев назад

      It might be due to flooded engine. Where an excessive amount of rich air fuel mixture enters the engine which can't be ignited by the spark plug.
      This usually occurs in carburetted engine but can occur in fuel injected system as well.
      A lot of things could be the reason for it a bad spark plug or a bad carburettor etc, it is better to get it checked by a mechanic.

    • @superchargedpetrolhead
      @superchargedpetrolhead  Год назад +2

      when the spark ignites, the compressed air fuel mixture combusts, creating a explosion hence pushing the piston down with force hence converting the thermal energy into mechanical energy. The fire inside the engine is more of a controlled explosion than a continuous fire so you don't have to "turn off" the fire, once all the air fuel mixture is combusted it stops.

    I have a doubt that during exhaust & compression why the piston lift up

    • @superchargedpetrolhead
      @superchargedpetrolhead  Год назад

      cause the piston is connected to the crankshaft, the force extracted during power stroke is so high it rotates the crankshaft and in turn the flywheel which is a heavy disc attached to the end of a crank shaft that helps smooth out the engine's power pulses and store energy through rotational momentum.The flywheel uses its momentum to keep the crankshaft rotating keeping the piston moving up and down during compression or exhaust strokes.
