That's one efficient and powerful spud gun. The caprice sound good. But I'll watch whatever it's all entertaining.

Y'all are fine with the ABS pipe barrel! The potato is always gonna be the weak link (just like a burst disk) in this situation. I can't imagine any scenario in which a potato could bind up enough to make abs or pvc shatter, even if the pvc has been in the sun for a long time. Pneumatic spud guns that use a steel tank and valve are what I would consider the safest kind. This is coming from an old timer whose first potato cannon was entirely PVC and powered by combustion of hairspray. I stopped doing that in the 90's after a couple close calls, and I would say If you want to try it now this is by far the safest way.
Haha. Did the hair spray ones as a kid. Then thought I was clever and tried starting fluid. It was a bad idea. 😂
@@DeathTollRacing I got as far as building the "gatling gun" potato cannon with spark gaps and a car battery before I had a major mishap. After that I realized that air pressure was much more controllable!

An upgrade to this would be to attach a large cylinder to the end, install rails inside, weld some square bar to a disk of steel, and weld the thing shut in the way that the steel disk doesn't come out the end but can be propelled by the air. Attatch this and one of those old 50s speedy tabletop air compressors to a frame, and Cram whatever you want down the barrel. Boom. irl junkjet
