I can hear Tommy crying from jealousy in the States.
😂 facts
He’s a teabag anyway
Tommy watching this and crying while playing with himself using his tears as lubricant
Tommy probably wears HKS pajamas to bed every night. Hahaha
Crying about the $180,000 he owes Ian
Only HKS part I have bought was the HKS sport exhaust for my wife's 04 wrx. Love the sound and how it opens up at higher RPMs. Not crazy loud either, would definitely buy another exhaust from them.
I have the HKS Altezza poster right above my monitor, it's amazing to be able to see more of this beast, there's so few detailed images of it.
HKS should take some of these to Goodwood or something. Need to see these cars driven hard again.
Goood vid man, it was great to see some behind the scenes action in their factory. legends in the game, nice opportunity you and May there.some of the builds looked peng mate! cheers for the look around and thank you to those at HKS. :)
From back in Max power days HKS and Top Secret always been my fave - HKS old turbo's the best ❤
That's THE legendary Evo that has been in several Gran Turismo and Forza games! The crazy Tsukuba time attack one!
I could see Mai in the P1 and Yugo in the little P1. Now that would be an epic sight
Thank you for touring HKS HQ for us. I'm glad I bought a 4L HKS Super Oil Premium 5w30 Full Syn. I love the container and keep it as a trophy.
Yes the intake on the merc was necked down as a restriction for the class. I was kinda thinking, "I know more about some of these cars than the guy showing you", but then he said he's born 98, and im an 85 model, so I'll let him off haha. Cool as that you got to go have a look. I remember heading to Brisbane about 20yrs ago to see the hks r33 drag car run. Got ¾ the way there and it pissed rain and cancelled the event 🤦♂️ I was devastated
The 33 drag car was in Gran Turismo 2 on PS1. You can win it in the high speed loop race 2 in the turbo class of special events
I love hks part's they are what started the aftermarket turbo for tuner's they are awesome
I have a Vectra track car (opel) and I contacted HKS to ask for the graphics design but they wouldn't help me 😢
Great video
As an HKS nerd, this would be a dream come true to see this stuff in person.
Such an iconic company and i know its played out but everytime i see one of there cars it makes me wanna wrap my car in the hks livery so bad
Do it bruh. being an HKS fanboy is a goal dream and honor for people like you 👍🔥
They still make the catbon fiber air vent light in Australia, Motive i believe
bro that was a kingdom opened their doors!! One of the best videos on the channel
Solid video, however I wish the engine bay for the Opel was shown
Cantilever suspension and yes those were poer restrictors for the gt races back then
I wish he would have shown some more on the mk3 Supra drag car
Canterleaver suspension, just like the agama n1 nitro racing buggy
How is awesome I love videos like that need to do more than cars are amazing❤
Love the long videos of a daily volg on car manufacturers and companies
That hks van is nice
Can you do a tour of the bride factory?
Ngl I wanted to see an hks zero r
didnt was a 180sx hks drag car also?
Yessss
How many times sammy said kewl 1865x 😂
gran turismo 2 , nostagia
Should of put the b roll clips first then show walking around talking about it. B roll clips are way cooler for first views
Man i'm in love with that Opel Vectra. Definitely one of Opels top 5 coolest cars
3:43 I remember having trouble passing this car and the HKS 180sx drag car in gran turismo 2
So great to see this kind of content, especially since I`m not sure I`ll ever have the opportunity to make it to Japan. Gives a great insight into their heritage and what they`re involved with, truly amazing.
You'll make it to Japan!
Anything I watch that has to do with Japan is so mesmerizing
It's mad that people don't know what super touring cars are. Literally the greatest cars ever built
HKS sucksss now, sorry i'm not a fan. But still great content
Sam, the Opel is a Vectra and i belive that he raced in the BTCC in the mid 90's. We have this generation Vectra in Brazil under the Chevrolet brand
Aí sim. Br na área.
Good to see that HKS kept all of their cars and didn't let that many go to waste. It shows pride in the company. Reminds me of thr Subaru vault that the Hoonigans went to.
WOW Sam you have done what no one has been able to do as a jdm fan from the early 2000 seeing all those iconic cars and the tour of the the site is truely amazing i hope they give you more access to show the quality of their product in production. its a whole other level and they have always been one of the best. thank you HKS for lettign Sam go inside ❤
the production process are all on nob taniguchi channel
It is opel vectra europa model , I'm very corious what kind of parts HKS made to it.
Seeing the Opel Super Touring car gave me chills. Thats my era of racing. BTCC, JTCC, STCC, STW, ATCC
Fitted an HKS GT2 SC to my ZN6 last week. Quality of the materials and manufacture is outstanding and it fits like it's OEM. Totally transformed the performance and using stock airbox and exhaust so no noise or emissions problems. Thanks for another great video Sam 👣💥👍
HKS IS all day long, paused everything for this haha, didn't realise the Bi-Fuel Evo used to be the red version though that's super cool. What an awesome place!
The Opel is a Vectra. It's a Super Touring car - or Class II touring car - which was an FIA touring car formula used across the world through most of the 1990s. 2.0-litre normally aspirated engine (around 300bhp), sequential transmission etc etc. Shame you didn't look under the bonnet, they're beautifully built cars. They competed in Australia too, but not sure the Vectra ever took part (would have been under the Holden banner if so)
What can I say... This has been an absolute pleasure to see inside HKS and memory lane with there cars. Thanks Sam ❤
That JTCC Vectra though..... that was the time when Opel was good...later models are uncool :-P Greetings from Germany....
I’m always a bit surprised when sammit is geeking out over hks but doesn’t recognize some of the most famous hks cars
It's an age thing. All of these cars were retired, or very close to it, before he had his driver's license in 2006
@@MotiveVideo I’m in the same age group as him I just did more reading car mags and fan boying over those cars then school work 😂
8:49 It's a shame many are too young to remember the significance of the infamous HKS TRB-01.😤
This Altezza has a stroked and boosted BEAMS 3S-GE with the dual VVT-i deactivated, producing around 650 WHP. The supras where using the 3SGTE variant tuned to about 490WHP. Some debate they used a 503e, Toyota engine depending on the team.

Sammit bringing the content on a rainy day!
Opel Vectra Sam ...HKS ran one in the Japanese Touring Cars ..96 and 97 I think ..
Hey Sam! Can u go back and do in depth look at the time attack altezza 🙏 😍 this was the brink of jdm the start of speedhunter days the reason why I stopped modding my rs13 and going to is300 so nostalgic brings back so much high school memories 88 baby yeye lol keep living the dream bro
at the start (nb 87) is a nice mk3 vauxhall cavalier (uk) opel vectra (eu),and yeah, this was holden in oz.
'97 Opel Verctra is what you saw, they are actually really cheap to come by in Europe. They come FWD from the factory. I really wonder what they did with it build wise.
It was an ex- BTCC Car that HKS bought and used in JTCC. Only resembles the look of a vectra pretty much completely custom under the shell for BTCC. HKS had a cavalier too and later after the vectra retired for a few years until they came back with the mercedes.
Brazil Too.
Australia got them too. badged as Holden. those and astras 🤢
This is amazing. I’m looking at decades of racing history….thank you Sam!
HKS: so we did a lot of cool stuff back in the day
Also HKS : soo we stopped making it...
That Opel Vectra was really nice! 🤘 Thanks for the tour! 👌👏
Great to see such incredible cars 🔥🔥🇬🇧
So cool to see Hks's JTCC Opel Vectra still with the livery from 1997!!
The alteca is called "TRB1"it was a timeattack car back in the days and TRB stands for "Tsukuba Record Breaker"❤
It’s cool to see how all these Japanese tuning companies tried their hand in Formula 1. Nowadays it takes a boardroom of 100+ people and 10 years to develop a racing program.
Opels are kinda meh really (used to own a few) but that touring car made it cool
Why didnt you open the bonnet of the Opel vectra i was looking forward to see what they done to the old redtop engine
cars are never going to be as good as in 80-90s btw amazing video!
HKS have been awesome since forever, cool seeing their actual factory
The Opel in the UK is known as a Vauxhall Vectra.
I heard hks lubricants last longer, than other brands.
I need to self evaluate lol. AlwYs remember this.
not just any alteza, that is THE ALTEZA lol
Been awesome to see hks make into the f1 world
So glad I got to see the CT230R in it's old livery and driveline (WTAC) and the Drag R33 (Jamboree) driven in anger. The TRB-01 is something which is probably more in line with current WTAC PRO CLASS cars. Absolutely legendary HKS machines
HKS is a legendary company. I am however surprised they are not doing more, they seem to be stuck in time.
Their latest motto would disagree. "Tune the next".
Hey Samit, this Opel is Called a Opel Vectra B. Build from 1995 to 2002
1994 А
OPEL was race car JTCC in early 90's
You should ask them for a mold of the swift body kit as that looked fantastic, carbon might be to expensive for people to have on a swift but I think you could do well selling that kit , your swift with that kit bigger wheels with child seat in the back 😂 great day stunning cars
I had a vectra back in the day awesome car
This was awesome! Thank you HKS for letting the goat 🐐 tour!
Hey Sam, @ 1:49 you asked "Is this an Opel" Yes it is. These cars were the GM2900 platform under the General Motors umbrella badged as Opel Vectra, Vauxhall Vectra, and In Australia and New Zealand Holden Vectra. In the US, this platform was reworked as the Saturn L-Series (L-200/L-300). So, for you, that would be a Holden Vectra.
Id almost say the redtop C20 engine was europes SR20 for a long time, used to get swapped into everything from astras, corsas, calibras, then rwd application in oval racing, rally, drift! Made good power and cosworth helped in the head design!
Hey Sam, I love the content. I've been watching for a while and I've noticed a lot of your handheld videos are pretty shaky. I am not sure if anyone else has these issues, but I get a bit of motion sickness when I watch some of the more "blog" style vids. I don't know what you use to shoot the videos on but I know DJI makes some cool gimbals that helps with that kind of stuff. The Osmo works pretty well for mounting a phone on. Anyways, keep up the good work!
1:42 I take the Opel and the Benz ❤
Gran Turismo memories ❤❤❤❤
Heehee, I really like the P10 roadster design they came up with. It looks kinda like TVR made something inspired by an Aston Vantage. (On one of their more restrained days) :) I wonder if the Cappucino chassis makes it excessively-teeny but it's very appealing. Maybe needs just a touch more detail to do with the taillights, but I'm really impressed a tuning company had that design talent around. :)
Anyway, some cool stuff there, thanks to you guys and your hosts! :)
Hit up Daddyworks Motorsports! His AE86 GR engine swap I hope can be made into a kit w/ a harness!
Thanks for the flash back for an ‘old’ aussie subsriber. Born same date as you in 71. My family had a Datsun/Nissan/subaru dealership in the 80’s. We were a HKS dealer at the time. My dad drove and 280zx with hks turbo and mum drove an r29 skyline liftback also with an HKS turbo. I only wish I new how special this period was and kept something/anything from the period.
HKS Vectra !!!!❤️
That HKS widebody Mercedes’ was retired because it failed to meet GT500 qualifications plus engine failures I believe
Wow special privilege....❤
That Evo is CT230 used to hold Tsukuba record?
All the TRBs in one room....speechless
Wow the lunch time bell….. I never got that, they just wanted us to keep working.
HKS used to supply the superchargers for the yahama jetskis like the FZR/fx svho 1800
Super GT was called JGTC (All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship) in the 90s whilst JTCC is All Japan Touring Car Championship….. different event though…… I was born in 1980 thus I’m old enough to witness these 😂😂😂
1 have 1 major recent regret...I had to sell my Tacoma that I had made a Custom full V-BANDED HKS exhaust on...new owner was like please leave the exhaust😢
That's some legendary intense cars from the Nissan Skyline to the Swift..... damn your a Lucky channel
Damn, I used to install so much HKS, Apex'i and Greddy stuff brought in from South Korea in the late 90's. What a great time!
First 99 Prelude SH turbo here with 98 model Greddy shit. Auto trans sucked!
For those of you that don't know, aquarium check valves are how we tuned before good map sensors.
The Skyline R33 drag race spec car was in Gran Turismo 2 and you had a 33% chance of winning it at the Tune Turbo Car No. 1 Cup. The Opel is the 2nd gen Opel Vectra which was mainly a 5th gen Honda Accord body with Opel drive train and interior and exterior bits made for the UK, Ireland, Austrailia, and New Zealand. If you look at the tail lights, those are 5th gen Accord sedan taillights.
*Sammet*.....is this an Opel?"....and there's a huge Opel logo right there in the bonnet/hood 🤣🤣🤣🤣
0:03 the fake laugh.... cringe dude
youre always such a tryhard, just uncanny
The opel was used for their Super Touring Series, JTCC series like the British Touring cars. Altezzes were manufactured with the Beams 3sge engine not just 6 cylinder. Common engine used by Toyota.
I wish I was able to afford hks parts, back in the day. Because I would've used hks parts and lubricants on our car projects instead of 5zigen, blitz, and greedy/thrust.
Greddy
I’m 37 and feel old by buddy not remembering first Grand Tourismo ….did you even play it…those games made these JDM legends. It’s like you need to know the history
Hey was that the Alteza LM car from gran turismo 3?That absolutely sick seeing the r32 drag.
