I go to one of the USS Auction houses in Japan to bid on some JDM cars! While I'm there I check out some cars for sale and the condition of them!

The Altezza is my favorite JDM car, probably because of Gran Turismo 2 lol. Pretty exciting to see one on the channel even for just a couple minutes.

7:47 the TypeX was both Zenki and Kouki, 1994 was the first year of the TypeX (and the other Type _ trims). In 1996 the "Kouki" model came out which people assume is the only "Type-X"

Arni Gunderson took soil samples in Tokyo were kids were playing near a basketball court and sent it back to the states and it was considered nuclear waste and had to go 2 a waste facility...And people in Tokyo sent him air conditioner filters from a high rise and they were wicked polluted....
The car at the Auction house crash corner is an Alfa Romeo Spyder while the dock was a Porsche 928.

at the end when you said "what on earth is that thing", it is a porsche 968 from 1992-1995. Only about 1,500 in the US

It is a 928. Only the GTS came with the spoiler but it was a popular aftermarket peice.
Wish you showed more of that Gloria/Cedric in front of the oily JZX @ 31:06. We got those in the states for a few years, but they're super rare. There's a rough one sitting in the lot of a shop about 10 min from me. I would love to have one but I can't take on a 3rd car right now, however my friend expressed interest, trying to get him to scoop it.
35:56 It's a Porsche 924/928 or something, 80s cars that were FR instead of the traditional mid/rear layout.
I really hate it that right-hand drive vehicles are illegal here in the Philippines. That's why you have the added cost of not just importing them (which might have eliminated the "savings" of getting them at an auction in Japan), but also converting them to left-hand drive...especially if it was a car that was never available in LHD.
Heck even used buses and trucks from Japan undergo that conversion LOL

oh and btw @29:54 thats a 1GFE and it’s dohc not sohc, the cams are connected via a gear like the 1uzfe cams.

Sammit, just an FYI not just Type X had abs. My 1991 was a Type 2 Super Hicas, it comes with ABS as well. Mine was pretty much identical engine wise to that but with redtop

I went and looked at a 2004 Lexus IS with a factory 2jz for 6,500 US today (Altezza at 2min24) and it struck me as kind of small inside, with my left leg pushed into the door, on the US left hand drive model. This car might not be very comfortable for anyone over 5 foot 8 in, and I couldn't drive it like that all the time. The finish needed a lot of work too. They coated the dash in some models with a substance that makes them shine and become sticky in the sun. The one I looked at had it a little, and there was a lot of paint and finish deterioration in places.

I bid on a legit TOMS Turbo Altezza a few years ago and it went for 1.6 million. I can't imagine some project car is going to go for that.
Compared to the marked in my country, the grey aristo I definitely cheaper, and it's also a manual where all of the ones registered here both aristo gs300 are automatic, so even after the 25% tax it's still way below the after marked price here
USS auction grading is a bit dodgy now days. My car was sold at JU Fukuoka as a 3.5 but was a 4 when I bought it from USS Tokyo. Still, it's mint and I'm not complaining!

4:43 the Acura NSX Type S.. I guess that's an okay car, nothing like the JDM Honda NSX's though. We didn't get the Honda NSX here in the states, just the Acura ones and no Type R's

Actually the fuse box for the 180sx that sits on the right side (Passenger side) is a factory location, mine's in the same spot.

Invest in Bitcoin, gold, silver, buy stock, forex market. Anything! Just invest and save yourself.
