Thanks! I love your channel btw! Big fan!
@@lapocorenich much appreciated! Keep up building this Monster and we,'ll certainly talk about getting it on Quick60 or Bongo HCM before it's shipped Down Under 😉
The amount of passion Lapo has in this field is truly inspiring. It's so awesome to see Vulcan Alpha come into existence.
Wasted love on a car
How did you get that norschleife design in your name????
@@hazardpilottt1457 i think Misha's youtube fanclub thing members have that
@@hazardpilottt1457probably a channel badge for being a channel member.
LOL TuV!!! thats road legal in my state haha
as a mechanical engineer it's really impressive and refreshing to see Lapo's passion and expertise in action. I wish had the opportunity to work with him and contribute to all these fantastic projects.
As a mechanical engineer, how can you accept the log manifold compromise 😢
@@BevanCranston as a mechanical engineer, nothing is perfect, unless you have a large company throwing money at every problem.
@@davidaugustofc2574 exactly my friend. especially when you consider that only 1-2 engineers are working on this and have already achieved all this within a year
I heard SO MUCH common sense spoken here. A rare thing indeed. Good luck on an awesome looking project. Love it.
Thanks man
Even more rare in US nowadays.
Those engineers are incredible. They seem nice to and totally passionate. Great to associate with them.
Thanks man! 😊
Can't wait to see the aero development for this project
Now this versus famous TT r8 time attack monster 🤤
That and RP968 level would be a top achievement
and that one guy's TT Vette
@@goobingtons That is Feras Qartoumy. He is building a new 'Vette with better aero and even more power. Going to be an absolute monster.
@@MX304that thing has conquered the world lol. the American Time attack series, the WTAC, Tsukuba. Everything.
@@mgcharoudinWorld Time Attack in Australia once the car is done?
As an engineer I love this project!! ❤️Would love to get more in deep videos about the development process of the car and design of it. Also maybe a video explaining what kind of telemetry your planning to use.
Why did you guys decide to do an titanium exhaust instead of inconel? Just convinience?
Keep it going!!
This project is gonna blow up, mark my words. I mean million view count.
Better not the engine pls
@@mgcharoudin 😂
I love the idea of running the alternator off the prop-shaft; clever concepts throughout, borrowed from various forms of motorsport. Lovely.
Beautifully orchestrated: A JDM DTM Time Attack. Bamboocha Bravissimo ❤
The McClaren 3.8l v8 is related to the nissan V8 from the 90s LMP cars. It had a second life in the American IRL series with Infinity branding. Its not a nissan engine, it was developed by JWT for racing. McClaren bought the design from JWT then heavily revised it for their needs.
17:42 and that's exactly why this project gonna succeed. Lapo knew how much Micha willing to spend so that Lapo can have 100% focus on designing and producing. best of luck and hope this company will grow to become one of the go-to spot for designing and modifying cars for enthusiasts
WHAT ? THEy just laughed. ANY INFORMATION IS APPRECIATED.
GOD BLESS,
DEAN
@@GardenGuy1943 I think Lapo was laughing because Mischa wants to spend a lot of money on the 3d printer that they have to outsource for at the moment.
@@crc0889 Tahnk you for explaining. That wasn’t clear to me.
God BLESS,
DEAN
This is one of the coolest cars I’ve ever seen. Please show more of these and the build process. Incredible guys. lapo is so passionate that he can’t contain himself. Love it!
My man is living the dream. He worked hard on it!
Sweet lord that thing is gorgeous... 👀 Absolutely cannot wait to see what you guys do going forward Vulcan Alpha FTW 🖤🖤
Fantastic. Love Lapo's passion, Filippo's work and Vulcan Alpha
We are witnessing something legendary, gives me "beginnings" vibes, Gordon Murray type of passion in engineering and golden days of legendary drivers type of implication in the build.
What a glorious piece of engineering 🤩 I'm keen to see how the guys hook up a column to that steering rack when there appears to be a cylinder head in the way 😁
Steering rack is ok don’t worry, it’s already checked in cad and it’s being made now
@@lapocorenich Definitely looking forward to see how you've solved that then :)
Exactly
I barely understood anything but Lapo's passion is so contagious, I watched the video in its entirety
Awesome work guys.
Filippo from Aereus is one of the best person i know, his knowledge and his passion it's really something unique.
If you dont know, he's also a veeeeeeeeeery skilled driver, he drove some european drifting competition with his mx5 nbfl turbo and then with his 2jz mazda mx5 NC.
They're also Italian Drifting Champion of 2023 with Filippo developing a particular LS Mazda FC3S driven by Luca Fuschini.
What a collab :D
Very true!😊
The Mclaren engine developed by Riccardo is the old Tom Walkinshaw Nissan R390 engine used at LeMans V8tt 3.5l - with changes for eg 3500-4000cc
Love the engine-choice 🍀 Also the engineposition and the other racing engineering solutions: very low main emphasis, steering rack above the turbos, double wishbone and the position etc etc
Cant wait to see this in action!!
I only recognized it was a S13 chassis because of the rear quarter windows 😂 Great project, I like the way you guys talk about it, wish you the best with it.
Now, here's me hoping you'll be designing parts for Jimmy's MX5s, so I can then order parts for my own MX5 😂
Also if that's possible, I'd like to know more about the shocks you're using there, who builds them, are they entirely bespoke for your suspension design or did you adapt the arms to work with an already available shock, etc. - of course, if that's not revealing any big secrets.
Ohlins Ttx completely bespoke
@@lapocorenich thanks, cool you could get a custom shock ! Although I assume these things are probably getting opened and revalved a few times during the testing phases
The V8 engine that McLaren(Ricardo) produces only shares some dimensions with the Nissan VRH V8 at this point. (Similar to how the V8 Koenigsegg produces really only shares some dimensions with the Ford Modular V8.)
Thanks for the info
And the VRH35L are done by Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR).
It was from Nissan's endurance prototype in the 90's iirc
Insane project. This is gonna be crazy. Love to see the build! Keep up Great work.
Amazing, you guys are going to take over the world with customization race cars.
It's going to be so much Fun !!
This is the most sick project ive seen in a while. Am so here for it, really glad to follow along this journey. Congrats on everything up until now, and godspeed going forward! 🔥
I'm an amateur time attacker, I will enjoy this series of videos for sure, wow.
Love the suspension. The front control arms coming off the custom engine cradle that is part of the chassis. Amazing..how the feel must be in the corners!!!
You guys need to get out and take this to Pikes Peak. Would love to see this in person and performing at such a straining race.
Hey guys. Now thats what i'm talkin about. Next level engineering. Mind blowing project. Way above my pay grade lol.
Never seen a company be able to showcase a project so quickly.
Outstanding work all. Awesome. Ooops some pee came out 😂
Really appreciate it 😊
Damn, I was hoping he was going to say Pikes Peak after the Time Attack list.
So glad you choose to keep the Nissan powered by a Nissan engine. My daily has a 390hp VK50.
Is that what they are running they didn't exactly name the engine jus it's a nissan
I've only started being interested in cars for only about 4 - 5 years now, it was just a means of transportation for me prior. But now I'm just so deeply interested and it brings me joy to learn about it and work on my own. It's something I Think about constantly. Watching things like this really motivate me to continue, It is just so cool! I hope to be able to work at a legit motorsports shop one day
Amazing skills + craftsmanship all round! Look forward to seeing it out on the track!
Thanks for sharing :)
1500 BHP, fully custom aero and suspension and a nissan derived LMP engine. This thing is going to break word records.
Watching Lapo bring Vulcan Alpha to life with such dedication and vision is nothing short of inspirational! 🚀 It’s fascinating to see how his approach, combining both creativity and technical expertise, is setting a new benchmark in the automotive design industry.
Seriously impressive stuff, especially all the geometry and suspension work. Can’t wait to see more
this is all so exiting, i wish you all great things and lots of fun in this awesome adventure. i cant wait to see this thing in action
omg my inner nerd as a a mechanical engineer is totally nerding out and admiring all of the good stuff we're looking at, even the wheels and all the custom parts are awesome and well engineered damnn wish i had this kind of car, for the road maybe
Very interesting! And so nice to see the passion all you guys have. I am exited for what to come. Much love and keep up the awesome work ❤
beatiful work, even the exhaust insulation is a work of art
This is sick, I couldn’t pause the video I was so entertained. Can’t wait for the future, the passion you men have is amazing.
Seriously hope good things come your way guys your commitment to produce equipment that can be accessed by all budgets is brilliant good luck in everything you do guys :-) :-)
Happy to see the vk56 getting more love. one of the most underrated engine ever
I wish you success guys 🙏🏼 thanks for sharing everything with us !
OMG im soooo hyped about builds like these!!!!! i wish one day i can be part of a build like this. already working on my dream. KEEP UP THE GOOD ENERGY AND LETSGOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I’m excited about this collaboration, proper driver and proper engineers. Locked in! ❤
Great build! Assuming this is being built for Pro Class at WTAC. Going to have to be ridiculously fast to get near the RP968. Look forwards to more updates.
I really liked hearing the technical details. I look forward to seeing it finished.
When a group of geniuses get to work together 💛 so wholesome and a pleasure to watch ty.
Nice nice. Rigid chassis, custom suspension, engine as far down and back as possible. I like that Lapo even touches a little bit on material science, wheelbearing housing weight vs. strength.
9:53 hm makes me wonder if it clears even with full steering angle inwards and suspension travel (compression and jumps), but I'm sure you've got this thought through 1000%.
20:37 can you take a quick look at the general concept of lightweight intake manifolds? I knew someone who was constructing a carbon fibre intake manifold for the VR6, which could have saved up to 10 kg at an important place (at the very front & top). He abandoned the project due to personal reasons :( But in general I would still be interested in such a thing. Of course this would have to juggle weight saving with rigidity and heat resistance, but I'd be curious to what point the weight saving could be pushed..
Are you also interested in doing a hillclimb with the car? There are many such races in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, ...
Intakes&hillclimb: maybe!
Yes the suspension has been checked multiple times and the results are flawless with no interference. This confirms that the cad work is also spot on.
For the intake it was decided mostly because of time schedule to make it out of aluminium.
But a carbon intake is definitely possible, maybe for the next iteration. 😊
@@lapocorenich 💪💪
And to clarify again, the intake question was not regarding your car, but mine. No hurries though.. I haven't spent any money on mods for a long time. For now I'd just be curious if it's possible and to what degree the weight saving could be pushed while also assuring reliability and safety.
@@stoneehyes definitely possible! ✌️
Seeing what the end of my project could look like is crazy, thanks for thrusting this chassis and to pull it out of the drift scene
Good luck for the future this is an incredible piece of Engineering. Absolutely Beautiful. A testament to the Passion and Knowledge these guys possess. Amazing 💯❤️
Awesome! Looking forward to the progress of this beast. 👍
World time attack Australia yess 🙌 can’t wait to have you guys here
@@munchkincatsnz Open class mate. section 5.4 " Engine modifications are free save for the engine must be based on a production engine from a recognised vehicle manufacturer." this means any engine swap is allowed as long as its from a recognised vehicle manufacturer. lots of open class cars use different manufacture engines its been like this for many years.
@@munchkincatsnzbro they literally mention they are going to WTAC @23:25 even mentioning Ian Baker lol the car 110% will comply with open class also the videos tile says world time attack. All signs point to Australia 🇦🇺
@munchkincatsnz why did you delete your comment about the car not being able to compete in world time attack because of its engine?
Agreed- the upright suspension component looks awesome 👌
Finally a company that I would trust with intake manifold for my M272. Hopefully we could reach out to you guys soon for custom made manifolds ( better working flaps in my case ) for our cars ❤ much love, incredible piece of art
Maybe I'm just being a conspiracy theorist, but I'm calling it right now: this car will be in AC2/EVO when it comes out.
Misha mentioned in his ACC Nürburgring video that they'd be able to scan cars to put in the game and that it's something he'd be offering as a service (the Vulcan-Alpha website already advertises 3D scanning). This would be an insane way to feature that capability and bring attention to the technology.
That would be cool
Super stoked. Appreciate this content, the future awaits!
Great video Misha and team! Really excited for this project.
Also really excited for those PhiMax wheels, they look great and performance to match.
12:43 finally someone calling out Porsche for being 35 years late to putting double wishbones on the 911 and only on one trim level
Only facts 😂
Its from the 1930s, not exactly space age tech :) , they were just trying to cut costs with the struts.
@@garagecedric very true
Yeah, meanwhile a lot of 90’s Honda models had it available for the “mass”.
On 2 trim levels
Also shows that the choice of concept is not with that much when not executed well(as Porsches drive better than most cars with double wishbone front suspension
Great to see such enthusiasm being put to such a fine use. Good luck VA.
Now this is exiting, what a work of art! 👌
What a crazy, crazy, unhinged machine. Love it to pieces
lapo goes crazy..... the engineering on this build is really admirable. great job.
The Porsche comment Is so good about double wishbone. Mazda had on the FD Rx7 in 1992
This is crazy Misha!! Huge congrats to both on everything 💪
Man this build it's going to be awesome, hopefully all goes incredible por you guys🙌🏻 looking forward to see it lapping🤘🏼
This is gonna be nuts
Very creative engineering... end product is smiles per mile! Well done Misha & co.
So glad you decided to work together - a rare opportunity to work with a genius!
Can’t wait to see this amazing car on track.
Cannot wait. Hopefully we will see you and the Finnish R8 1:1 race! There are a quite few lap records to beat ;)
There’s no competition ✌️🎉 (I hope 🤣)
Such amazing people, so much potential in the air around you. How are you so amazingly succesful Misha and Lapo. Such simple people but so amazing
You have a gold mine here Misha. The passion that clearly oozes from this project is easy to see. There is a saying that goes: Do what you love and the money will follow. These engineers are clearly doing what they love, and they are living my personal dream to be able to create and develop this project. Keep up the great work, and I sincerely wish you immense luck and success with this endeavor.
Really exciting project, professional, creative, talent
Cant wait to see how this progresses! Crazy engineering going into it!
increadible what you are able to to. I´m afraid to ask for just a floor for my TVR to improve downforce. Keep up the good work and i hope vulcan alpha will be a big success.
OOOoohhh now that looks real exciting to drive will look forward to seeing it finished and driving
It's fantastic that you mentioned the ingenious technologies born from motorsports, solutions that seem like settled matters. However, my curiosity lies in how you will be tackling the engineering feat of connecting the steering rack with the steering column. It seems you haven't let the presence of a cylinder head deter this design. Also I can only imagine the two years of development heavily focused on mitigating bump steer. Its almost reminiscent of what Andy Forrest did to adopt his Subaru to a mid-front layout, anyways I'm so excited to see the final design as I'm actually thinking of incorporating something similar into a personal project.
The classic was the Subaru didn't meet the regulation's regarding the vehicles firewall and still was allowed to compete....
That's how you achieve greatness. You work hard on getting the skills and knowledge and then you unleash the passion. Go guys! We're all cheering for you.
The McLaren M838T that designed & develop by McLaren & Ricardo, were loosely derived from Nissan VRH35L, which were developed by Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR).
Meanwhile Nissan VK56 are pick-up truck or SUV or van engine, and then convert into racing applications.
They also put the VK56 into their passenger cars like the M56. My crossover has their 390hp VK50 5.0L V8 under its hood making it the second or third quickest SUV that year.
Kudo's for being bold and keeping it in the family with the VK..
World Time Attack! Would love to see you guys down in Sydney !
Wish you the best for your time attack Challenge. Impressive project! Good Engineering work at all! 👍🏼 When i will win Euro millions i will Order one of this car 😁👌
Thanks buddy!
Now this is Function and Form! Fantastic work!
Looks like a dream build, can't wait to see it finished! And the name of the company is perfect! Lapo sei un genio 😉
This is absolutely beautiful!
Working in an environment like this, any form of motorsports or engineering, is truly a dream of mine. I completed my bachelors and a year of law school, but I have such a debilitating neck injury from wrestling 8 years ago, that I cannot hold a job down or do school, so I have to go on disability and constantly struggle to make ends meet. I pray and hope someday that I can be involved in my passion like this, my initials are literally RPM.
What a build! Stunning!😮
Weels insane ! Street Version of those needed ❤❤❤ love design and funktionality 🎉
Incredible engineering and utilization of the OEM chassis
Incredible. Excited to see this evolve
This reminds me of Rob Nguyen his "Mighty Mouse" CRX back in the day with all the extreme chassis mods and extreme aero.(designed by a ex f1 engineer)
VS The" fat cat "R8 😂Elmer's racing rp968 is also a extreme example.
Very nice to see all this in house designing with Vulcan Alpha.
A Hp MJF printer would be the best you can get imo.Very functional and detailed parts with almost no post work needed.
Would love to see more videos like this Misha along side your track runs🏁🏁👍👍💯💯
IN FUCKING SANE , can't wait to see it on track, huge project, hope u the best 🙏💪
I love that so much thought went into serviceability. That'll make for some happy race mechanics
CMON guys Jeremy Clarkson would have got out his hammer and finished this over night,, slacking lol
Probably true 🤣
Big fat respect guys that is looking awesome ❤
