This case has always seemed heartbreaking to me. A young couple was killed, leaving a baby orphaned. The mom was holding the baby when she was killed. Just imagine being a young couple home playing with your baby and someone storms in and kills you. Imagine how terrified the baby must have been, and then to be abandoned alone until found by the neighbor. :-(
I’ll watch a lot of 20/20 or datelines multiple times but I could only take that one once. Both her and her parents were interviewed and they are vile.
The young couple was totally innocent, the only thing they were "guilty" of was the hatred in Jenelle's mind. She convinced here father to kill them. I hope she rots in prison.

I am baffled by this case. I mean, how someone like Jenelle was able to manipulate her family into committing murder of two innocent people? I think you were spot on when you said that “Jenelle was able to tap into the ideal image that Barbara had of her.” In addition, the idea that Marvin could gain “permission to kill,” makes a lot of sense based on his personality traits. What a delightful Friday night treat! Thanks for working so hard to keep us entertained Dr. Grande. ✨🌙 On another hand, what a senseless loss of 2 lives; and a baby left an orphan.
I am just in awe at how far this woman went with her scheme to get back at what she thought was the other woman and a man that she was obsessed with. At the end of the day, that's what this was. She wanted to get back at the woman that she perceived to be a threat and murdered the two people that she was obsessed with. It took a lot of elaborate planning. However, I feel that if Janelle was allowed to elope with her actual lover and her parents didn't drag her back home, that these murders wouldn't have happened.
Oh my gosh! How much do I ADORE Dr. Grande's commenters! Even if they get a bit personal they only mean well and hopefully saying a person doesn't need makeup is a compliment! I guess I'm too puppy!
This is a fascinating case. Wow. The whole creation of Chris is downright creepy. And Marvin sounds like he was looking for a chance to kill someone. Really weird.
This case really infuriates me. It's just so sad and so senseless. She had them killed because she was so jealous of Billyjean. Neither of them ever did anything to her. She just couldn't stand that Billyjean was an attractive girl living the life that she wanted. Evil with a capital of all capital E's.
I know a lady who has learning difficulties, yet she has done a good job at raising her child, they're a well mannered family. kids are sweet and better manners than the children who parents have it so much more easier, so i think everyone has the right to have a child. Her son is working and he has a little girl now, and he looks a really smart lad.
Yay! A new Dr. Grande! Doctor, can you analyze the apparently narcissistic Attorney Steven Bartolino who represents the Brian Laundrie family based upon his TV interviews following the finding of Brian’s remains? That lawyer really seems like a piece of work, being silent along with Laundries, lacking empathy for the Petito family, while aggressively demanding and expecting the same from society and media for himself and the Laundrie family following Brian’s death. They offered none following Gabby’s disappearance and confirmed death. He says he’s angry and people need to let them grieve and stop asking questions of them. It would be timely and fascinating. Thanks for your consideration of this. I’ve enjoyed your prior episodes on this tragedy. I’m addicted to your channel here in East Tennessee.

It doesn’t seem fair that Jenelle is actually eligible for parole within what could possibly be her lifetime at age 89 and the other parties’ life sentences are outside a human lifespan. Her sentence should be as long as Barbara’s and Marvin’s, in my opinion.
