Great review Mark, I’ve been toying with Dwellings for sometime but resisted taking the plunge. Then I passed on the Andromeda campaign for some unknown reason. Then I watched some reviews and unboxing videos and , well, let’s just say I managed to pick up an all in Pledge, for a bit more than its original price. I hope it lives up to your hype, delivery is due this Thu……….on my Birthday!!!!!! Thanks again and keep up the great content.
You gave me the fear that the Escalation expansion was something I hadn't pledged for in order to play solo. Pleased to see it's included! Great insight into the game as always, thank you. Excited to get this to the table, though might need to find an even bigger play space by the sound of things. Voidfall was already a sqeeze!
I got my copy last week! There a LOT going on in this game. The Raiders are the best thing about the game imo - an element of randomness that can work to undo your best laid plans. Very fun.
Missed this one... now gonna have to track one down second hand! I'd like to try it solo but it is rather intimidating! Even if everything flows well after you get the hang of it :D
You mention that everytime unity would gain a resource instead it gets a victory point. I remember to have read that instead it collects a tactics card (which are then turned into VP at game end but only up to 15). Can you clarify if you played of an outdated rule or so?
Hey there! I've been following your channel for about the last 9 months as I kind of take off on my own solo board gaming journey. I owned some games from 10'ish years ago that can be played solo (Xia, Shadows of Brimstone), and decided to really dive into them solo after making a little "man cave" of sorts in my garage. (Space has always been an issue for my tabletopping, but not anymore) I think my favorite game right now is Dungeon Degenerates, which your review convinced me to pull the trigger on! I bring all this up, because I was wondering if you ever considered doing like maybe a top 25 of your all time favorite solo games. I feel like our game tastes really line up a lot, and while I'm looking at all these realllly expensive games, I would love to know where they sit with you in the grand scheme of things as opposed to only a yearly top 10. I really want to get the Chip Theory Games stuff, but things like Frostpunk sound amazing too. I would love to know how they kind of all stack up in your brain. I'm looking to only get 2-3 games a year. I don't have the money or the space to own 200 board games lol, so I'm looking to really target "the bangers" so to speak. I'm assuming the Chip Theory Games would be right at the top... but I don't know! and that's why I would love to see your top "of all time" list. Or maybe like "desert island games" If you had to only pick 5 to play forever. This is just a silly/casual request of course. If you're not into it at all don't feel like you're letting a fan down or anything. I'm just curious. The only game I have pre-ordered that I feel like I'm taking a big risk on (as in paid a lot for a game I'm hoping I'll like, but have no way of trying) is Arydia: The Paths We Dare Tread, which was calculated because it's by the Xia guy, and I just think he's a peach so I'm happy to support him and the game does look really unique/neat.
Great vid thanks so much for making it! At 48:25 you mention Unity shouldn't have moved up the blue Civ track after getting a blue module. Why is that? I thought unity moves up the relevant track any time it gains a module.
@@WnuckVader the top left just shows it has a range of 2. A slasher has a targeting of 1 since there’s only 1 there. He even says it at this time stamp.. he even points on the card and says where it would say if there was additional targeting which a slasher Doenst have. It just has a range of 2 and rolls 2 dice. But no additional targeting.
This comment is an insult to the people who worked years on this game. How disrespectful and just rude. Game is a freaking masterpiece, if its not for you just don’t buy it...
At 44:05 I think you should have gained 2 VP, as you originally calculated. I think it has been confirmed on BGG that during battle, raiders count as opponents. Hopefully someone else can confirm.
Thanks for covering this game. Really looking forward for my copy to arrive soon.
Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for watching. Happy upcoming birthday and I hope the game hits the spot.
Yesssss! Thanks a lot pretty curious to look at this soon! 👌

At 42:02, shouldn't the Raider strikes where Unity's cruiser just landed?

Think UK deliveries are due to start by the end of this month / beginning of October all being well. Looking forward to giving it a go.
Great video! Do I need the expansion or is it soloable right out of the retail version box?
If you are getting the retail version, you will need the Escalation expansion. If you are getting all-in well..it’s all there.
@NotBoredGaming Thx!

I think that was a mistake in the solo playthrough

I have a question: I do not see the mistake at 48:22. Why shouldn't you move up the right most track?

Yeah, I think he played that wrong as well. Unity gains a track advancement in that case, same as a player
you got it before me! and thanks! haha
39:12 it says 1s shouldn’t count here. Why? They have a targeting of 1 you said? So I’m a bit confused by that text in the screen
The Slasher has a targeting of 2. You can see it at 38:21 at the top left corner of the card.

For those that just want solo specific stuff 28:29 is where it really starts
Solo ape Chuck stuff?
@@NotBoredGaming sorry I was driving lol. Solo specific
😂😂
So the Unity units have no wash on them?
I might just paint all of the minis.
Дуже цікаво побачити цю гру в Україні. У нас скоро буде теж її передзамовлення!! 😍😍
Right off the bat you got the range wrong for that first battle
What an empty and soulless game. Why would anyone pick this over Dune Uprising?
Each to their own, buddy. I’ve played both quite a bit and whilst I enjoy DI, AE is a very different game and certainly one that I prefer over DI.

We can like multiple things. Both are great.
