Thank you for this. There is a lot of moving parts to solo. I had to watch this a few times because you move pretty fast in gameplay but its finally coming together for me.
Thanks for watching. And yeah, I do play pretty quickly. I try to slow down but sometimes I have a hard time with it. I also have 5 more playthroughs on the channel, so check those out if you are interested. And please feel free to ask any questions. I will do my best to answer.
@@coreyl6221 thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the playthrough. Good news for you, as of today, there are 5 additional playthroughs on the channel. I probably won't do anymore until 2025 as the rest of my year is pretty stacked.
That was a great game. I have yet to have 3 of the same developments plus reaching the top of the track. You did miss the energy drain for playing tactic cards but I think it wouldn't have mattered that much. Congratulations on an amazing playthrough. Thank you for taking the time to put this all together. You have given me hope to sit and playthrough in a hour. I spend so much time thinking and planning. I did share your post on the Facebook group. 🚀🚀🚀 #andromedasedge
@markdandridge4433 Hey, I appreciate that! I got lucky the developments. This game was really a perfect storm of circumstances. I've gotten completely destroyed by Unity. This can be totally done in less than an hour, especially when Unity's actions become second nature. There's just so much with Unity right now that I'm worried about missing.
@@KingKoopa015 I think that's my biggest problem, trying not to miss anything and I know I still miss things. I am extremely comfortable with Dwellings and can whip through a base game in as little as 40 minutes. You played so smoothly and your system was working very well. I will eventually get all the steps down. I am not stressed over the time but I used to get several games of Dwellings in but I struggle to get 1 complete game of AE. 🤣🤣🤣 I take my time and not moving at light speed.🚀🚀🚀
@markdandridge4433 i missed several things A LOT. This was my fourth attempt at recording a playthrough. I just left it set up on my table and just kept going, and I still was missing things here and there.
@@markdandridge4433 I think that'd be fun. Especially since I haven't explored any of the modules or other events. We'll definitely do some more playthroughs on the channel.
@@KingKoopa015 I just double checked and I subscribed earlier. I turned on the bell. I will keep looking out for your AE content. Oh isn't all the commotion about Andromeda's Edge exciting! 🚀🚀🚀🚀
Thanks for the video, it’ll help a lot to digest the rules. They are not complex but there are many. Important question: why do I have so many module cards on my board ? They barely fit the trayz they made for this. They are all sleeved fyi
I agree about the rules. There is a just a lot to manage but after a few plays it gets much easier to internalize. I am only using about half the modules in this game since, like you said, they don't fit well in the trayz. I think it's easier to just put them on the board.
@@KingKoopa015 exactly what I did, it’s a pity because everything is so well done, sleeves fit perfectly, but everything slides even in the great trayz they provide
I think you forgot to pay for the tactics cards after the vampire raider entered the game. But if I remember correctly you had the energy in your reserve (and would just miss a few points in the end scoring).
It's not a stupid question. Unless the ship has the attack ability, you cannot first launch into a space occupieanby another ship but this was placed when I had other ships so it was legal.
@@KingKoopa015 Gotcha - and all good, I've made at least a couple mistakes in every one of my solo playthroughs so far. This was a great video, thanks for sharing!
When Unity’s command marker moves all the way around and back to the top space (where it starts the game) doesn’t it also gain a leader per the symbol on the wheel? I think you only had it gain the Civilization card and a repair action
@@jcdc9437 I've been mildly interested in Voidfall, but its always seemed too much. I know its a very different game compared to AE but how do you like it?
@@KingKoopa015 Voidfall is very intellectual game. The issue with Voidfall is that Mindclash sell it as a 4X. They put lot of pressure on themselves. You give me hope that this game can be played solo reasonably quickly! XD thanks for the video, would definitely appreciate more!
@Sajatzsiraf the playthrough I posted this morning and the other I have recorded are both about an hour. And they're all the 70 point long game.

How long is the setup time of AE for a solo game?
@lonstar7675 I've never timed it but maybe 10 to 15 minutes.
53:48 shouldn’t it be a tactics card OR a victory point?
Its a choice between a Tactics Card and the slotted Moon and the Moon gave both.
@@KingKoopa015 oh, sorry, couldn’t really see the icon, thought the moon was only VP. Thanks!
@SaschaKleiber its all good. I appreciate the question 👍🏾
What ability allowed you to go to the Maximus Field with your transport at 1:09:30 with your other ships still on the board?
Nothing. It was just a rules goof. I had Range 2 on my transports, but that the Maximus Field was 3 away.

@lawofgravity1979 I just thought that was where the marker started. I couldn't find it in the rules or on BGG but you might be right.
It’s just a marker to indicate starting space on the wheel, after that has no effect.
@@pvaughan007Ah, good to know! I thought that might have been the case as well but wasn’t sure. Thanks Peter!
Nice catch there, it could be a way to make unity stronger or replace the 5 other color leaders and add one each 1st turn on the wheel. #Houserules
Cool
At 13:00 wouldn’t you get a card from Tactical Operations for losing the battle?
Yes. I just missed it.
I thought raiders do not enter the nebula
Raiders can enter the Nebula, Unity will not follow you into the Nebula.
dwellings is more dense than this...by far...i find andromeda's edge way more streamlined
