Wow, thank you again for recognizing Stationfall. It makes the many many hours I spent developing it worth it. It doesn't surprise me that it went up on your list; it's a game that rewards repeated plays if you're willing to invest in it.
From all of us at the back, we hope you and the family have a great Christmas. Thank you for all your boardgame insight this year. All the best from us hecklers.
The only top 100 list I look forward to and watch every episode of each year. Always entertaining and informative. Picked up Obsession last year and I believe Vindication is under the tree this year. Well done to you and thanks for putting in the work to punch this list out every year. All the best!
We played stationfall for the first time this year and loved it! It took a couple plays to wrap our heads around the rules and characters but now it’s in our top 5 games of all time!
Merry Christmas from the USA and thanks for all your work, you rude SoB. You put more game titles in front of me that I can look up than any other channel I watch. You are endlessly amusing as well. I just can't justify pulling the trigger on Twilight Imperium 4e but I have Twilight Imperium 2e and now that I am retired I plan to get it back to the table.
Great list, watched them all. Made me want to revisit some older games after your nice insights. Loyal fan and love all the work you've put out! Keep up the great content!
I love the unique takes. I've been seeing a lot of the same games on top ten lists but it's fun seeing ones like pitch car, memoir '44, and station fall.
Forked out for Carooka... you finally sold me after seeing it feature again this year. It's been on my mind so long and finally decided to bite the bullet. Happy new year BGB!
Stationfall is one I haven't heard much about. Like many games, who you play with is far more important than what you play. I can see how this game with the right group can be hysterical.
Well, I have a few from the top ten which I just have to add to my collection, Obsession, Last Kingdom and TI4. Although, there are quite a few versions of TI3 around on the second/hand market at the moment. Many thanks for the videos during the past twelve months, yours had to be the most amusing and honest chanel on RUclips. Keep up the great work. Have a blast over the festive period.
Thanks for your amusing commentary and analysis. Despite playing thousands of games, I came across new ones from your list that are on their way from the retailers. I cannot place your specific tastes in games and this makes your list more interesting. Keep overcoming the shyness. Merry Christmas and happy gaming New Year.
My top 10 :) 10. Townsfolk Tussle 9. Earth Reborn 8. Kingdom Rush: A Rift in Time 7. The Grand Carnival 6. Specter Ops 5. Fallout Shelter 4. Root 3. Above and Below 2. Wildlands 1. Arcadia Quest
loved the whole list, this specific 10 has a bunch of games I have wanted to try for a while, some I have played, and I am awaiting Cyclades Legendary edition to arrive.
Thanks again for a year of interesting reviews and the time you put into it. Glad Memoir 44 wasn't forgotten this time. Lol! Will definitely be on the table this christmas. Best wishes, good health and all that. See you,... Next year.
Obsession came out of nowhere for me… I’ve never enjoyed period dramas at all but the game is so damn good! It’s also the only board game my Mum actually enjoys. It’s brilliant
Merry Christmas to you, your family and gaming group! Thank you for the top 100 list! Gave me some other games to consider. I love Obsession. Played it a while back for the first time on boardgamearena and liked it so much I ordered a physical copy.
I love it! as a person who dedicated on party games and gathering more ppl to play im fully agree to put dexterity and deduction game on top.. and that makes it even more perfect is you put obsession too! my favorite middle - heavy weight that are so intuitive ❤ Merry Christmas sir!
As one of the Obsessed, I must say that I do not care if I lose. I just enjoy the gameplay and the struggle to make lemonade from the lemons known as casual guests!
yeah I'm sold on Carooka, I've been looking at Caroom etc but i think this looks a winner, have a great Christmas, happy New year and good luck with the channel for 2025 mate.
Memoir 44 is part of the Command & Colors line. All feature the card driven Left, Center Right board play but with different unit specs for ancients, shogun, Napoleonic or WWII. Learn one game and you are set for a lot more. Great system, easy to learn.
Seeing Carooka for the first time is after blowing my mind. I’d have ordered it tonight except for the fact that they aren’t currently shipping to EU until they’ve worked out a distribution deal in 2025. Gutted. I NEED IT!!
Yeah looks like they’ll be outsourcing production too to keep up with demand. Hope the standard is kept high. I might wait until the dust settles and see. It’d be thoroughly disappointing if it went into a cheapo production house
George (wife of the couple team) got back to me and said they’re not shipping to Ireland. Now I just need to convince my wife that it’s a good idea for me to go to Birmingham/Staffordshire for the day just to buy a game… That’ll be an interesting chat.
Thank you for another year of bollocks. Really glad to see you've found Vindication and enjoy it so much. I have all the content for it and really recommend the Chronicles expansion if you'd like to add some more great story and mechanics. The Cucumbers I find next to me when I wake up are usually covered in some mayonnaise. Never smaller than 12 inches either. Merry Christmas! 🤟🏻❤️
Amazing list and so funny to watch. Love your style of doing this! TY 😊 I will have a look at some games of your list and 100 % at cyclades legendary edition....i unfortunately decided not to back it and i regrett it. I think it will come to retail maybe and if not i can buy it at ebay if its that good as i imagine. Merry Christmas
OY! Thanks for all the effort you put into this shite. I always have a good laugh. Since you have a couple of little life expectancy shortening devices walking about (kids), could you do a video about what games are good to play with kids? All the best in the new year. Cheers from a Dutch geezer.
I wish I could justify keeping a copy of TI4 at home. I've had the base game since release, and then bought the expansion for it. Me and my group played it only 6 times in 4 years, every time it was exhausting, but ultimately very fun, every session was very memorable. But it just collects dust. In the same 4 years every other game I have has been played at least three times that. TI4 is one of the best board games I have ever played that I simply can't own because most of the time it's impossible to gather people for it. Ultimately I've sold it. It might be the best game in its genre, but other games scratch the itch just enough, and don't require 8+ hours of your time.
@@BoardGameBollocks I've played it once in my lifetime. That's enough. The game is fine, but there are other games I'd rather play in the 8 hours that would be spent on TI4. Kemet, Cyclades and Stationfall for example.
Love Stationfall as well, but there is a game that is even more chaos fun for me, also revolves around space station (ship) and that is Space Alert. I do believe that you love your Vlaada's, but it's his best work alongside Galaxy Trucker and TTA. The amount of chaos and laughter that you can get in less than 20 minutes is absolutely unparalleled.
@@BoardGameBollocks I'm a bit lukewarm on expansion, but the core game is chaosᵀᴹ Stationfall has that feature of you remembering the story, in Space Alert you always remember every single instance of someone screwing up things and that creates memorable experiences as well.

@@BoardGameBollocks That's fair. Had the same issue years back but have been lucky enough since Covid to have a persistent group so managed a few full campaigns. I feel your pain :D
I bought the last available copy in my country of The Last Kingdom based on this recommendation (along with Dice Tower's). Hope this is as good as it seems! For what it's worth, I love screen captures in games. Spartacus is better with them, and I'd dread the thought of Battlestar Galactica with cartoony portraits or whatever.
Ha! Didn't see this top 10 coming! Interesting no 1. The teach feels so heavy though, not sure our group can manage to play it regularly enough to warrant getting it 🤔 Or maybe we can 🤭 Thanks for your great content, i enjoyed this year's as the others.
I hear and agree with everything you say about obsession, except that only having played the base game, I was severely put off by the luck factor. I know some of the expansions supposedly mitigate that somewhat, but I have little interest in trying it again. Maybe one day when I feel brave.
I'm sitting here looking longingly at Stationfall on the shelf, but the game is such a complete bastard to teach that it never comes out.
