Great coverage. As you found higher ground advantage can be a big factor as well as timely bolstering to avoid getting shot to bits. Enjoy the rest of your plays!
Thank you so much for this playthrough! I appreciate the time you take explaining the moves. Another solo mode i watched went a bit too quickly to follow. Well done
You're the best. Thanks for sharing. Hope to open my copy tomorrow. Excited to play it solo. Looks like the automa is pretty well thought out and plays like a person in a lot of ways.
Thanks for filming this! I've been really curious about this title, both the mechanisms and how well the theme comes through. The bolster action and the way casualty works seem very interesting, as does the terrain; can't wait to give it a try.
Reminder: Each time you search your deck for a casualty to remove, you need to reshuffle your deck. This playthrough really helped. It's a tough game to learn, and the bot AI is really complicated!
yes, that is super true! I never did it because I can't possibly remember what's in my deck even though I just looked through it haha. But the rules definitely state the need to reshuffle. Thanks for posting here so others can see that rule!
Yeah, I ordered it. (I even paid for expedited shipping. Because, well…I NEED THIS GAME!!) I do NOT have a problem. I have, um, a hobby! Yeah, that’s the ticket!
Thank you for this great playthrough of the solo mode! I'm really enjoying the game and I hope this gets more people to play it. As a rules question, does the solo mode change the control rules? I noticed you said you can't control a space if there are enemies present, but in the standard game that's only if the enemy already controls it. If they don't control it, you can take control even if they are present there.
the rules are the same, sounds like I may have worded it funny when talking about it in the video. You can take control if they are present, as long as they don't ALREADY have control. If they already have control I believe you cannot take control away from them (and take it for yourself) if an enemy is in the controlled space.
I have a problem with Paula's first turn. During the initiative phase, the LFA matched. She put that card aside saying that if it matches, she still goes first, but the bot would get to play the other card in its first turn. Then she ignores that card during the first turn. Did I miss something?
So I win the initiative in that first turn because the tie goes to whoever currently holds the initiative. And then I say that both initiative cards get discarded. But I also explain there that in the solo mode, whenever the Bot wins the initiative, they actually get to keep their card to play with. But since in this case I won the initiative, the Bot's card gets discarded and is not played with (which is why I then go on to ignore that card during the first turn). I hope that helps explain it!

yeah I think you're very right about the higher ground! I'm going to pay a lot more attention to that in future plays!
@@PaulaDeming I've found that *sometimes* taking shortcuts through the lower elevations can help, but all depends on what the bot draws next ;)

I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
This is fantastic! Thank you, Paula!
yayyyy!!
Very cool addition to the series! Can't wait to get to try this one.
Thanks for the misprint shoutout. I played this last night and went with what the book said when I noticed it. Good to hear I was correct.
Good job making the right call!
Yeah there are a handful of misprints and errata, worth looking up a list as you start playing the game to be aware of them.
Thanks for a great play-through Paula! Love the Undaunted series and this is a great new content direction!

Love this play-through @PaulaDeming ! You cleared up some tricky bot rules that were confusing to me.
Very kind of you to say - glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this. Just got my copy in yesterday.
Have fun!
Loved the LFO joke!
Love the video!
I've always been interested in Undaunted but don't really like WW games, this one looks to be exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the vid!
Glad you liked what you saw - hope you get a chance to play!
Thanks for this. Like it.
Glad you enjoyed!

We share your affliction!
Nice!

Great question, unfortunately Paula is at Essen Spiel right now, and as I didn't cover the solo rules, that's not something I'm able to confirm.
