Great explanation. The best one I have seen so far, including the official Tutorial by Tim Chuon. Its also a great video, but you explain it with many examples, which I miss in most other tutorials. So it is way clearer! Thanks for this great rule guide and keep up the good work!
This channel has single-handedly influenced me to purchase games solely based on how well Tarrant explains how to play it. You guys make learning games easy!
So glad to see you have tutorial for this game. I love how you explain things so clearly, with a great pace, Thank you also for covering the team mode. Best tutorial ever. Thank you
Came here after getting frustrated watching other "how-to" videos for AE. This is by far the best laid out and easiest to understand video out there, exactly what this game needed. Nicely done and thank you!!
🙏🙏 We kindly appreciate your comments. We humbly say that our teaching style probably, hopefully matches yours. (and the other videos are simply just different style) Hopefully our other tutorial videos will be useful to you. Hope you enjoy playing the game. Thank you so much again🙏
Thank you Patrick! Yes I also enjoyed Dwellings, especially the balancing actions between assigining and retrieving (also assigning back). Totally enjoy AE. Excited to hear you're getting the All In pledge! I think you'll enjoy it. Stella
Nicely done. One small omission, though: when adding raiders during event resolution, if the listed class of raider is already on the board, you instead add 2 S-Class raiders.
Thank you for your kind words! Hmm we all stared and look and sleep over the video for weeks - the rules must be...hidden in the very edge of the universe 😂. Hope you enjoy playing
I'll had my voice to the chorus of those praising this tutorial. Especially considering how rules heavy this game is, this one of the best "how to play" videos that I've ever watched. Truly fantastic! Many thanks!
24:48 i believe, in that scenario, green would win because it had more dice. Regardless of what number it is. EDIT: After it was pointed out to me. I clearly misread greens dice.
Green is not eligible to win since it already lost when comparing the highest dice, in this case 6 vs green 4. After it compares and loses it doesn't matter what it's other dice are. What you are suggesting is only true if they tie for winning. "To determine the winner, each participant (including the raiders) compares their highest single die result. If there is a tie, the tied players compare their next highest die result." The green player is not one of the tied players. Hope that helps!
@nickgiannini8860 I understand that. But when showing the example of a tie. He showed all three players having a 6, 5, 4, 3. But in that example, green had 2 more dice. Which would have resulted in the victory for that scenario.
@stephenwest2703 check again your time stamps he doesn't say it but the green dice change to 4 4 4 3 3 3 and the blue and raiders dice are both 6 5 4 3
Great explanation. I am missing one detail though: You said in the beginning that having your leaders on the board brings benefits and you would explain later. Have I missed that point?
You said if you cannot pay the resources on a base tile, then you cannot "launch" there. Can you move there even if you can't pay the resources? I'm assuming not, but I just wanted to make sure. Also, you said you can only play one diplomacy card. Is that true also of the red battle cards? Can you only play one or can you play multiple As long as the timing is correct?
The only variant I wish you woulda shows was the nethervoid and explain if the void drake is in play you have to make sure that region is also in play at the beginning.
The Nethervoid is in the Escalation expansion, so this coverage is perfect for base game! We’ll have to see if Meeple U can cover more AE in the future!
Regarding First launch and Fighters with the attack-ability: Do I understand correctly that fighters CAN go on occupied (by an opponent/raider) tiles, even if it is your very first launch (meaning no other ships in your color are on the board)?
Hi @SaschaKleiber - Yes, fighters have the attack power (orange arrow) so they can launch into an occupied space if you have no ships on the board. Thank you also for the other comment🙏
What about a card that states "battle ends" and collect a card or something? It does not say what ships and raiders do. Who is the Victor? Does turn end with all ships and raiders still occupying the same region? Will a battle happen again until one faction or raider is left or will another battle happen in the next person's turn?
@@batmad385 If a diplomacy card ends the battle all ships stay where they are. There are no winner and losers and there is not going to be another fight this turn. Edit: and since battle can only happen in the active region, it would require another player launch to the same region to make battle there happen again.
@@MeepleUniversityyes, except there is a rule about looking at the top two event cards that I don’t think you mentioned. Maybe I missed it? If so, can you provide a timestamp?
Well, obviously… does anyone really need this explanation? This game is like a quick party filler! It’s like, hey, ya wanna bust out a quick game of Andromeda’s Edge real fast while we wait for the pizza? (j/k)
Leaders are not "SCATTERED" around the board. Why not properly explain they are placed on the BASE tiles? (Thats 2 strikes so far against this video. Why am I still here?)
If you find this video helpful, please let us know, comment below, that would be much appreciated! Hope you enjoy the game! 🙏🙏

Crystal clear. Great approach to teaching and fantastic examples!

Great video! We backed the all in pledge. Since we love to play Dwelling of Eldervale it's a no brainer that we will like this one too

Amazing video thank you!

This should be the official “how-to” imo. The other official one is bad.

What happens after a diplomacy card is played? Do all ships (factions /raiders) stay in the region (to fight again), defeted, or return to station?
Depends on the card. Essentially, follow the card to the letter, there is no automatic step to take after a diplomacy card.
What about a card that states "battle ends" and collect a card or something? It does not say what ships and raiders do. Who is the Victor? Does turn end with all ships and raiders still occupying the same region? Will a battle happen again until one faction or raider is left or will another battle happen in the next person's turn?

Good video, but I don’t think you addressed launching into a nebulae space.
Thank you 🙏. Ah we addressed it very quickly as it's similar to launching into planet space. Hope that helps.

Is it just me or box art for retail version is much cooler than deluxe version? xD Great tutorial as always!
Thank you so much🙏
There was a lot of interest in the retail box by all. We made it the cover of the rulebook, so that the deluxe edition also had all of Sergio's art.
