Learn how to play The White Castle board game - we're rules teaching in the clearest, concise way, so hopefully you can skip most of the rulebook and just play! We're hoping that you'll be able to learn the games better this way - we'll look for ways to give you tips for understanding the game throughout.

I absolutely love how all of these mechanics tie together. Nothing seems disconnected or arbitrary - all of it seems connected and purposeful. Can't wait until my FLGS has a copy!

Thank you so much for the thorough explanation of the game from the SET UP! very nice Video! just one question though, you said there should be at least "one of each" dark colored action showing on the Castle at the set up, but the rule book says "if all the cards in the castle show the exact same dark-background action, then you should re shuffle?" so it doesn't have to show all three of different action at the start? but you could start with just the 2 of the different actions? I'm just confused on that little detail.
I'm sad that they haven't replied to this. I have the same doubt. I think I'll follow the rulebook.

Question about set up: You tell us to roll the dice after closing starting cards, but the set up #7 says to roll and place the dice. What is correct? You tell us to replace the cards if all 3 icons don't get placed, but the rule book says tell us to replace if all have the same dark background. Which of these is correct?

Great job, thank you!! I love the components and small box! I love the subtle and not so subtle thematic mechanics. In many ways, it reminds me of Legacy of Yu. I'm a huge fan of Red Cathedral, so once again, I love the setup variability. Thank you again. What a high-quality video. Is there any chance of a playthrough video? I really like Red Cathedral and was curious about this game, but I wasn't willing to watch a How To Play, not a big fan of it...but after openning this video I couldn't stop watching your explanation! haha well done! Really clear explanation to a game that seems as good as the one that I own...hopefully Devir Brasil will bring it at a fair price so I can increase my Isra/Shei collection...=D

Hello, thanks for the video. Unfortunately the rulebook isn't online yet or I couldn't find it. That's why I haven't read through the rulebook yet. I believe that with the warrior action you also get the bonus of a white scroll in the castle. Is that correct? Thank you. Best regards, Biene

@@MeepleUniversity either crave or not. It depends mainly if one likes chewy onion rolls. The burger is mainly onion and a chewy slider bun.
To those that were told this game is like Red Cathedral, it isn’t even closely related. I really like RC but I loathe TWC as it is klunky and really BORING! If you like what you see in this video, then by all means you’ll like the game. For me, I was so disappointed. Thankfully I found this out before ordering it.

Me too. It really looks like a solitary game , basically no player interaction. I can easily go to pub while waiting my turn again.
But idea with dices is interesting. Liked that part.
Just paying/stealing the difference in cubes to/from another player if u stacked on his cube,.instead to bank, would make a lot of difference and better dynamics.
Same problem with Wingspan. Solitary game, competing against highscore.
I’ve been playing it for a few days…I think it’s pretty great. Just crunchy enough and yet easy to set up and take down/The AI can be tweaked in several ways. It’s pretty solid as a solo as well as multiplayer.
