- Kala Ramnath presented a stunning version of Raag Shuddh Kalyan as her opening piece at FEA's Gayatri Festival 2016. She was accompanied on tabla by the brilliant Pt. Yogesh Samsi whose subtle and tasteful interplay with Kala's violin virtuosity is to be seen and heard to be believed. An absolutely breathtaking performance by both artistes.

This is the way violin should be played but not many artist attempt this style as this is the most difficult style on the most difficult instrument. Kala ji, you are so precise in your pitching, murhki, gamak, rhythm, shape of the raag and expressions.

Spell bound!!! actually no words to express this enthralling rendition. I am ardent diehard fan of both the versions of Indian Classical Music - Carnatic & Hindustani. This is really out of the world and transcended me into another dimension for full 50 minutes. long live our rich classical music and tradition.

Kala Ramanath ji is the Niece of two Violin Legends. Vidwan T N Krishnan and Vidushi N Rajam. She is the 3rd generation violinist in her family starting from her grand father Tirpunithura A Narayana Iyer. !
Gosh... She belonged in the family of Violin mafia ...! No wonder.
Every single soul in that family are a violin celebrity in their own respect. Popular playback singer Vani Jeyaram also belonged in the family.

What a beautiful rendition! There seems to be an influence of Ustad Amir Khan's style in both the vilambit laya, mizaaz of the badhat and taans! Fantastic Kala ji and very sensitive accompaniment by Yogesh as expected.

@@dvchauhan35 Ji, I wish to clarify one thing. I am Kala Ramnath. My aunt is definitely Dr. N.Rajam but the guru who taught me everything as far as violin is concerned is my grandfather Vidwan. A. Narayan Iyer who is Rajam ji's father. Whatever I am with the violin today is totally due to him. And he taught her too. I did not learn whatever I play today totally from my aunt. My aunt was and is always my idol as I wanted to be a violin player like her. I have also learnt music from Pandit Jasraj ji. Thank you.

In 2018 Dr. Rajam's Darbari Kanada recital brought a coma patient out of coma. The patient is Sangeeta Das from Kolkata, you can google more. The music this family creates is DIVINE.
