Venkatesh Kumar: Raag Shuddh Kalyan

Pt. Venkatesh Kumar was the headlining artiste on Day 1 of the FEA-curated PARALLEL LINES festival in Pune in association with Shuddhanaad. He began his recital with Raag Shuddh Kalyan.
He was accompanied by Bharat Kamat on tabla and Suyog Kundalkar on harmonium. Tanpura and vocal support were provided by Shivraj Patil and Keyur Kurulkar.

This is Shuddha Kalyan. Bhoop in Aaroh and Kalyan in Avaroh. Very beautiful raga. Also called Bhoop Kalyan sometimes.

It is more commonly called Shuddha Kalyan only, so there's no error in the title. It is less commonly referred to as Bhup Kalyan. But yeah I understand your confusion. Chalan of aaroh follows Bhoop religiously. It is only the avaroh Sa--> (ni) --> Dha, that the Kalyan ang peeks.
