I purchased the factory Browning fiber optic "HI-VIZ" front sight for my Buck Mark. The OEM part is the right height, no guess work there, also the base is metal, not plastic & it comes with red, green & solid white rods for you too choose from. $28.00.
You can also buy the browning part they put on higher end buckmarks for around $30ish last I saw then you know it's right huh? ...mine has truglo factory sight ...trouble is they did not give extra glass pipes and they break REALLY EASY! THEN you need to know the diameter of the rods to order! Anyone here know? 2mm? 1.5mm?
Oh, I live in Norway. :) I ordered some 3/32 allen wrenches on ebay, when I finally found the right size. My Buck Mark is a 1987 model, but its hard to find some parts for it unfortunally. Really need a spare firing pin, but its discontinued a long time ago. Just possible to get 2000-up firing pin, but that does not fit. Have to replace the whole slide with parts to upgrade to the newer guide rod, recoil spring and firing pin.Thats too sad and expensive. Just put a Hiviz front sight on it, so its much easier to pick up the front sight. I got this Buck Mark as my first handgun, and just bought a Cz75 sp-01 9mm and a S&W 686 357magnum with a 6inch barrel. I love the choices i've done with selecting my guns. :)
Is that the Dawson sight? I'm not impressed with their 22/45 sight because it doesn't fit the contour of the barrel properly... I'm about to order a truglo to try out.

Dawson has great customer service.
Congrats. You made an eight minute video showing you unscrew then screw something. Awesome
Atleast he lasted 8 minutes, usually I'm done screwing in under 5 minutes, never unscrewed before tho.
