I'm so happy to have run into this video. This is exactly what I was looking for!
I originally bought this site for my Ruger 22/45.. Then I put it on my AK-47. I have shot several hundred rounds with it on my AK and it holds zero well with no failures..
Kevin Wilkinson Thanks for sharing your experience with it Kevin...much appreciated!
Good info
I can confirm it works well with an ak in semi auto
I just got it for my AR, taking it out this weekend. Will keep y’all posted
Very cool item! I JUST purchased Browning Buckmark...and I love it. I was searching for holographic sights and this looks promising. Thank you for sharing!
Excellent review on this sight. All the information is there and when following this info ALL is spot on. Perfect review.
This is my first sight of this type on anything but I can tell ya its a keeper.
Nice demonstration. Thank you.
Very helpful video. Thanks for posting 👍
Thank you!
I had it on my 10/22 and have gotten many jack rabbits with this sight. never had to adjust it.
Thanks for your work,... I had a bad day today lol,... Just got a new Ruger Charger & fitted my Fieldsport Red Dot before going to the range to play with my new toy.
5 rounds to zero the sight then 15 rounds before the sight DIED !
I have just spent hours searching & watching reviews on sights & thanks to your video, I think I have made my decision :)
No problem David. I hope things work out well. Thanks!
cool, thanks for the info
No worries…it will mount on any standard picatinny rail.
Thank you. Had to order mine from the USA as there's no stock in Australia. For newbies such as myself, it might be useful to add that it will also attach to a Picatinny rail... I bought a Picatinny scope recently and discovered the opposite is not true; ie that Picatinny attachments won't necessarily fit on a Weaver base.... The (expensive) lessons we learn!
What was the power setting number while looking at the snow , how bright will it get on a sunny day,,thanks
Im getting a charger soon and think this would be a good quality optic at a decent price. Gets lots of good reviews and it's not too expensive.
have one on my Takedown and man i love its a great Red Dot great video
Nice...thank you sir!
Good info!!!!
I bouught one because the very fair price...do you think it would do ok on a 223cal
Do u have too order the rail that capable to mount a site ? Or will it mount too gun without any modifications
As far as I know this reflex sight is rated for a .22 caliber firearm. I've seen similar reflex sights used on higher caliber rifles but I am unsure if they would be able withstand the recoil and hold zero with continuous use. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but I haven't used this reflex sight on a higher caliber firearm.
Do you know who makes it for them? Does it mention it for warranty work perhaps? it looks just like the other dozen or so reflex sights on amazon.
I was looking for 1 to go on my AR pistol would this suffice?
I just ordered one of these this morning and I can't wait to mount it on my rabbit rifle :D
Good stuff Kyle...had mine for more than a few years now and it still holds its zero after thousands of rounds.
You wouldn`t shoot cute little bunnys, would you?
Especially wild hares are getting very rare. Hunt some deers :)
Can it fit in a holster?
I just bought this last week and so far I love it. I can't comment yet on it's durability or how it stays zeroed as I've only shot a few hundred rounds through it with my Ruger 10/22.
Mario Panaro Put more than a few thousand through mine and haven't had any issues with it. You get a lot of value for the price for sure.
I dont have this exact brand, i have a firefield. I use it for my airsoft gun, but whenever I try to change a setting, the battery top pops off. I really need help.
Booce Plz If the battery cap threads on try using blue lock tight.
How to install?
I ordered a Buck Mark & shopping for a red dot sight..... Just curious, the video keep saying that the unit is "specifically designed for 22 pistols and rifles". What feature(s) of the unit that makes it so?
I have the Browning Red Dot on a Browning Contour pistol, fits perfect, my trouble is the red dot will not zero, it floats all around and up and down, can't use it as a sight. What am I doing wrong?
When adjusting the windage and elevation do the hex bolts turn freely or do they click / lock from position to position? If they turn freely this may be the cause. If they do click / lock into position and it doesn't hold zero then you may have a defective optic. My optic holds zero while shooting, while in transport and I do not have to re-zero each time I take it back out. I don't think you're doing anything wrong at all. You may just need a new optic. :)
what is a cheap but decent red dot for a 12 gauge shotgun im firing only slug?
Sorry, but I haven't used a red dot on a 12 gauge. I run a heat shield with ghost sights.
Is this the same manufacture as the Feyachi RS-29? Looks the same minus the logo & the cheaper RS-29 also offers green.
Thanks for pointing this out!
are these made in japan?
Can this be used on a Ruger SR22 rimfire pistol?
Designed for rimfire, but will not work with the SR22 pistol because the mounting option for it is underside or below the barrel.
so this should fit very well on a Ruger 22/45?
Should size up and function just as well with the Ruger 22/45 as it does with the Browning buckmark. They are somewhat similar in design, size and function. It's an awesome affordable and reliable sight. Shot thousands of rounds with it on my Ruger SR22 rifle. It still functions just a well today as the day I purchased it.
Six years later - is this still a good optic for a Buckmark?
Holding up. It hasn't failed me yet.
I have a CP tactical one and its not turning on for some reason
Off hand it would be difficult to determine the issue. Most likely battery or defective optic would be my guess.
Best choice for anti parallax and superb field of view.
This thing would be even better and look more sleek and stylish without that black metal frame around the lense.
Purchased it years ago with intentions of upgrading, but haven't because of its reliability, quality and simplicity.
Can I put this on a 9mm carbine?
macy725 As far as I know this reflex sight is rated for a .22 caliber firearm. I've seen this and similar reflex sights used on higher caliber rifles but I am unsure if they would be able withstand the recoil and hold zero with continuous use.
Yeah, you can. It works really well with my CT9.
Anyone try this on a 9mm? Would it hold zero you think on a Sub 2000?
this would not be suitable for an AR 15?
serious Dopamine Negative, rimfire only.
i use it on my ar15 with no issues
Can I use this for airsoft?
Sla Airsoft Absolutely.
Ii hi lO ::)
There are 20 different brands of this same exact china red dot under different names. Browning just has there logo on there+ your paying ALOT more for the logo. I also have a Vortex Venom, pricey but and excellent piece of equipment with lifetime warranty! Mine is named. Ohuhu 18$ amazon, its not bad and has worked well on my buckmark and Marlin 60.
Can I use this on my shotty?
Leonard Dumaguin Negative, if you're referring to a shotgun.
***** You are correct in stating that it will mount to any weaver rail. However, it's ability hold zero will deteriorate quickly if used on a shotgun. This sight is specifically designed for a 22 caliber.
Leonard 2o6 I use it on my mossy all the time it’s fine, it doesn’t even have to be exact in a shorty I have mine set for center of the pattern and it’s perfect for pheasant
I’m not entirely sure if the manufacture is Browning. However, the packaging and other online information make claims to Browning as being the manufacturer.
Browning is not a manufacturer of anything . Other companies build products to Brownings specs , put Brownings name on it and voila .
Specifically*
I bet it’s more expensive than the host gun
Can it fit in a holster?
Probably depends on the holster, I have a kydex that molded to accept a rail and red dot. I don't think the Browning nylon would.
