- Last night I saw Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver at the UK Premiere and today I am giving you my full spoiler free review. Is it better than the first part and should we expect a third movie on the way?
Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld.

Zack Snyder should just legally change his name to Director's Cut.
I can’t wait to watch Rebel moon 2 but I do hope Snyder’s Next Netflix project is a Sequel of Army of the dead.

On another note, I did meet Zack Snyder. I was an extra in BvS. They filmed most of it in Detroit. He was pretty cool to everyone on set.

I had no doubt this movie would be an overall improvement on the first, people have to understand that the first film spends time establishing a new universe and its characters.

I swear. Zack is the only Director where the default is to a director’s cut in order to get a complete story.
Not at all. Tons of directors do directors cuts and most are better than the original cuts.
@@OurMovieNews Yes. I am fully aware that a lot of directors have director cuts for their films. I’m saying Zack seems to be the only one reliant on one for a full story. For instance, when a Christopher Nolan film comes out, you never hear “Wow. I feel something was missing. Can’t wait for that Director’s Cut so I can get the full story.” Or Denis Villeneuve. But with Zack it is pretty much expected that in the original version of his films, something will be left out. He really has people out here investing time in watching two versions of (usually) bad movies.
@@jamaalmcphee9332 Denis Villeneuve has commented multiple times about not wanting to cut things out of his films, as recently as Dune Part Two, so not sure why you picked those two as a 'gotcha' when there's evidence to the contrary. Even Peter Jackson has said he prefers both cuts of his Lord of the Rings trilogy, not just theatrical.

@@omaridaniels8427 Most directors want to keep just about everything they shot. But they’re not reliant on it. No one is begging for a Directors cut of Dune or Dune 2. No one was begging for a Directors Cut of TDK. But it’s a real problem when barely a week into every film this guy makes the general consensus from his fans is “ I can’t wait to see this movie. But then I can’t REALLY wait to see this movie.” Good business for him. Bad for filmmaking.

I really wish that every other celebrity in Hollywood was like this to their fans and other people, because we need a lot more of that kindness. Just watched it. Love me some Zack Synder but gotta say part 2 is wayyy better than part 1. I totally agree this is what l expected for 1. Didn't mind the slow motion it gave the film the extra edge. Loved the flash back
I still haven't seen Part One, probably because I'm still waiting on the R-rated Director's cut. But if you're saying Part Two retroactively made Part One feel better, I think I'll watch both parts back-to-back for the first time.
They compliment each other well. But I do think part 2 is the movie Zack wanted to make but part 1 built the foundations for it to happen.
Sorry to say, but no improvement to part one. Still going to watch the Director Cuts!

Gotta disagree about shortening the action. I understand wanting more time with characters, but I wouldn’t have sacrificed the action for what we missed out on from the novelization. I honestly can’t wait for the longer cuts, as I really felt how unfortunate and simmered down the action was due to the rating constraint.
I probably agree actually. Maybe I mean add more to the beginning so it feels more balanced

So badly written and acted its painful to watch...I have watched it because I watched part 1 but god its awful! There's no genuine feel of emotion from any of the characters, it's terribly acted. Don't waste your 2 hours....AND please don't make a third part!!!!

@@OurMovieNews point being that Zack said he's had the cast come back for the director's cut which basically is a new movie -- not just deleted or discarded scenes. I think Snyder and Netflix have used the PG13 rated as an excuse to milk Rebel Moon to death. Netflix has plenty of mature adult and R rated content. There's really no need to make a PG 13 film when no one is policing children at home. Rebel Moon has also failed to be a Star Wars killer. It hasn't sold tons of merchandise -- toys, books and games.
No they didn’t come back. He just filmed slightly different angles and versions of scenes at the same time.

Not a good lead. No charisma, no screen presence and they didn't write this script to cater to a female warriors strength which would NOT be brute force. I absolutely love Snyder but he's just collecting a paycheck on this one.

@@OurMovieNews not at all, do I have assumptions on how the movie will be based on Snyders previous work, and even specifically how the previous movie was? Sure, but I would have those same assumptions if I were watching anything from a well known director or any sequel to movie. It's kind of hard to go into a sequel with an open mind, when one's thoughts of the previous film are still pretty fresh (or rotten in the case of Rebel Moon Part 1).

how on earth is this even watchable? first 40 mins was farming n exposition. d movie devolves of all logic. characters were ur typical diverse good guys. sofias character was d worst. onli reason she turned good was coz her boss betrayed her n not coz she felt remorse for killing a child. action was imcomprehensible. plot is jez bunch of farmers fight off an elite tech advanced army who can aim at all. farmers miraculously in 5 days harvested, partied, built trenches n traps n become experts in firearms.

He has already announced an overhaul of Netflix movies division, and given his past public comments about Snyder and his toxic fans and the relative underperformance of _Rebel Moon Pt 1_ (it fared worse than _The Gray Man_ , _Red Notice_ and _Extraction_ etc), it is very likely that Lin would cancel the Rebel Moon franchise.
