Because of the way ck2 wars work, a holy war for orkney would have been easy. If you fully occupy the war leader, you get 100% warscore, regardless of their allies, so you'd have just needed to siege that one province before the norse showed up to kill you
I've never been so early to a video before. Love your channel, man. It's amazing that you manage to upload so many videos a day, I can't help but wonder how you have the time to do it?
so I have no idea WHY it worked like that, but that battle where you had to watch your allies die first let you be the defender once the second battle started, so it helped a lot!
You probably should have just disbanded the mercs, lowered the armies then let your allies win it for you, but for less than 500 prestige and 30 gold, it might not have been worth the risk of a comeback
Usually, when that kind of battle happens you're somehow hostile to someone in the battle who is on the same side as your allies. I'm guessing maybe someone was raiding and that made one army hostile. Still weird though. :)
He didn't inherit cos its only maritrial, that means he has to marry into wifes house, in this case you had to marry into that house to get the bloodline and then game considers your wife the ruller and you are the wife in medieval terms...
