this is unexpectedly awesome! i didn't know just water and paint could give such beautiful effects!
Thank you! Just a heads up... You can't use all acrylic paints with just water for this technique. I've had success with golden paints, amsterdam and pebeo paints!

Use the blow dryer on low then. May be ur dryer is of high voltage. :)

In none of the paints , even the ones mixed to make the base had anything in them but water? Amazing! Mine never turn out with that kind of cells w just water. Gorgeous !!!!
Hi yes that is correct. Just paint and water. Please note... not all paint will work with just water. I have been successful with golden, Amsterdam and pebeo paints when mixing with water only.

I use Art Resin and get it at Evan's Art Supplies here in Dublin.

i did my first few successful Dutch pours with water-only after watching your videos along with Olga’s. I’m having an issue though with crazing which I’m thinking is my water ratio. Would adding something help with this without impacting the flow?
What brand paint do you use? I have only tried Amsterdam, golden and pebeo paints with water only. If i add to much water it will crack while drying. Also if you have to much paint on the canvas it could crack too.
@@EricaHughesArt thanks so much for responding! I started out with CraftSmart acrylic paint from Michaels as a starting point while I get my technique down. It’s definitely not artist quality acrylic like Golden orLiquitex but it’s cost-effective while I’m learning. Initially I started with tilt pours to make marble/geodes and I mixed my paint with floetrol which worked well- no cracking with those. Then I discovered your channel along with others and wanted to try Dutch pours and found that my mixed paint with floetrol just wasn’t moving when I would try to blow it out.
My paint moves great when I use just water but now I’ve got cracks everywhere.

How much water to paint? 1-1?
Hi! I go by consistency when mixing with water only. Some need more water then others. I do mix up one colour in a previous video titled "dutch pour paint and water only / the great Switcheroo". If you want see it. 😀
