Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is a group of 13 heritable connective tissue disorders that affect the skin, joints, blood vessels, and many other organs and tissues. The condition is caused by genetic changes that affect the production or structure of collagen, a protein that provides strength and elasticity to connective tissues.

in FA , its step 5 , proteolytic peptidase step, Ehlers has a deficiency in procollagen peptidase , this enzyme is supposed to cleave the disulfide rich terminals but does not occur in EDS
