- Some of the lovely finds we got on our day out at the Drovers Rest at the end of August including the Horn Of Plenty :) Identification by www.wildfooduk.com
Notes: There are actually 5 species of milkcap found in the UK that have orange milk and all are edible. Some of the ones not mentioned here are rare though so try to stick to the common species.
There are also many contenders for most poisonous mushroom in the UK though there is no conclusive proof. The Death Cap and Destroying Angel are certainly attributed with the most deaths in the UK, Europe and possibly globally though.

Absolutely brilliant video. The fact that this isn't immediately picked up and serialised by the BBC is the reason I don't pay for a TV license.
I used to work at an empty country house which had extensive grounds. A gardener was employed there, and he knew all the edible mushrooms, and showed me where to find them - except for the Chanterelles, which he sold to a local gastropub. He did give me some, quite often, though, and I enjoyed them immensely. I often found Horn Of Plenty Mushrooms, and often had them on toast for my lunch. The gardener once presented me with a giant Puffball, which I took home for my parents (after cutting a bit off for my lunch), and dad hollowed it out, stuffed it with various things including bacon, and cooked it. Food of the gods.
You are so epic man. Big love from france, bout to tuck in to a feast of battered baby boletes on cépe pasta :)
These videos will keep me up all night, the best y/t find of the year. Thanks so much, I adore fungi and your no nonsense, highly informative & delightfully calming presentation has made this all the more exciting.
I’ve learned so much watching your videos. Thanks a lot.
Legit, one of my favorite mushroom channels and I'm not even in the UK. We have all the ones you talked about here in the states, some of them just go by slightly different names.
Great video as always. spent some time up in Maine in the States over the summer, THOUSANDS of trumpets all over the place!! I could spend an entire day picking nothing but trumpets!
These vids are just so calming 😂
What a delight to watch! Wish I was there.

Your cringe when she said re wild yourselves was classic
Thank you so much for these videos and for so eloquently and fully explaining mushroom foraging.
I'd love if the editors of this channel put in pop ups of close up clear pics of the mushroom he is talking about. Great channel. Just found it and I am hooked.
No one:
Thank you we have eaten some amazing mushrooms and your identification videos help so much .
Now I know what those mystery big white mushrooms were - fleecy milkcaps!
Haha, we have so many black trumpets here near stockholm - but yes.. they can be hard to spot and it took a few years to find places - but we go back and there is usually some year after year. Were a bit torn over whether they like hazel or not, they like a bit of a slope facing east or the hazel and slope are just coincidences.
Love your videos. Not enough of them. Keep it up!
super stuff as always thankyou, MINT" CHEERS.
Thank you for your videos
