so envious of some of the mushrooms you can find in your area!! lots of love from australia :)
Thank you. I'm glad you like the finds :)
I'm amazed how similar our forests look to yours. I'm in the Pacific North West of the U.S. Great videos! The black Chantrelles were gorgeous!
Glad you like it. Also good to hear you have similar forests there :)
👍💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
Ești mare norocos ✌️💖
Wow, such interesting mushrooms! Love it!
Thanks :)
Beautiful mushroom.. beautiful forest..good job Luke..
Thank you
The black trumpet is family of chanderil also 😊
Nice video! Today I found about 1,5 kilo of ceps (Never found more than 2 of them before)! Made some pasta with a part of them and I will make some more dishes with them.
Thanks and congrats to the ceps :)
That's nice
What's the tastiest mushroom in your opinion? Great video!
Thank you. About tastiest mushroom it's hard to say - maybe saffron milkcap, morels or maybe something else :)
Where are you picking general area
I like the cut of your jib.
These white milk-caps are most likely Russula Delica or Russula Brevipes which are edible but they taste a bit bitter or spicy, so it is a matter of taste. I boil them for 5 minutes and the in the pan with oil, salt and onions and you can also add them to whatever other dish you want to.
Thank you very much, it's good to know it's actually a Russula.
true saffron milk cap you can tell by the orange pits on the bottom of the stem :) and the flavour oof
Thanks but salmon milkcap can also have the pits. I don't think it's a saffron milkcap as there were no pines around.
@@LukesMushrooms never seen that on salmons always really smooth pink here in Sussex uk and I've seen saffron milk caps quite far from pine c: watched all ya videas such a pleasure sharing ya hunts love you to do more info on differences like this in videos anything you know C:
What differentiates salmons and saffron for you?
The small red/orange one’s in the grass are called - Eyelash cups 🔍
Yes, I think it's them. Thanks.
Hello, i am interested in mushrooms and would like to do mushroom picking, just a question it may seem a bit dumb but, if you pick a poisonous mushroom, would it have the same effects as eating it? Or is picking a poisonous mushroom fine, thanks!
Touching poisonous mushrooms is never dangerous.
Mushroom poisons cannot penetrate skin, so you can touch them, but wash your hands afterwards. But please dont put poisonous and edible mushrooms together in the basket, because even a small broken off piece can be harmful to you if you accidently eat it
Very nice mushroom..i am hope one day can hunting mushroom in forest..
Yeah - in general I don't recommend to pick anything you don't know. I recommend to take pictures of an unknown mushroom where all necessary details are well visible and send the pictures to your local mycology club or something similar.
@@sitikholipah-ko6ij thanks :D
i was in the forest today as well, found some ceps, but mostly older ones as it is very dry in spain right now. some also had yellowish meat under the caps, so im wondering if those are still safe to eat...^^
also two tiny scarletinas, though they were full of worms sadly
really enjoying your vids man, keep it up!
now that im drying them, they are giving off some chlorine-like smell... might just discard them altogether. Never had this issue before, weird.
Thank you and good luck with your season in Spain!
Piciorul de la ciuperca Macrolepiota Procera?
in uk we have had plenty of rain for several weeks none stop. Ground is saturated enough but going to my spot i dont see any mushroom....only earthballs everywhere. My question is would you know why by any chance? do mushroom take break from a whole area? The spot i have usually has loads of cepts and bay bolete. I havent even seen any amanita growing too. Could it be still early? all around rest of uk they are finding plenty, its just central uk is dead for some reason.
It was similar here - enough rain, good temperatures. And mushrooms were nowhere for about 2 weeks. Just had a break. Now they are starting to grow again, so I hope you also just need to wait a bit more.
same here
Luke piciorul se poate consuma?
Finally I found out that Bollete Mushrooms also grow in tropical climates like Indonesia. In highland areas, traditional people call it liver mushroom because of its color. But only in rain season
That's nice to hear about :)
