@@LukesMushrooms We usually dry them to use in future dishes like mushroom soup and sauce's but most of the time we put them on sandwiches, its amazing, a bit of butter and toast, makes them taste amazing
Hi Luke! I'll be in the Polish mountains soon. It was usually just a regular vacation sporty trip, but from a few years back I cannot resist when I see mushrooms! So it will be a partially regular trip, partially mushroom hunting. Wish me good luck! ⛰
Here in Washington state US there are so many commercial pickers places are pretty well wrecked. They pick almost everything and what they don't want they destroy.
I love the wood hedgehogs mushrooms as they taste similar to chanterelles and in my area they are so abundant. It seems they are not really known to some of the foragers.
Good day Mr. Luke, your countrymen are now here in the Philippines for FIBA world cup, as of the moment they are competing against Canada for semi-finals slot, good luck 🙏
@@LukesMushrooms Thanks! Do you track your locations of certain good areas? I'm in Austria btw and really enjoy mushroom hunting (although I've just started recently and I'm sticking to Golden Chanterelles only for now as they're easy to identify)
Great video Luke! Today I found some nice Leccinums (albostipitatum and scabrum). I think I want to make a soup with it, how do you prepare your Leccinums?
Thank you. Usually I dehydrate them. For a few times I did scrambled eggs with some scaber stalks. But I believe there are much more recipes in the world for such mushrooms :)
A quick question. I come a across quite a lot of Scarlatina Boletes. My mushroom guide says they are poisonous but you collect them. Do you think they are edible?
If talking about Sutorius luridiformis, here it's a popular mushroom picked for eating. But you need to cook it well (at least 15-20 minutes) as it is slightly poisonous when raw and could cause stomach issues. After proper cooking it becomes edible nad tasty.

Thank you. Have a lovely day too.
These videos are some of my favorite on RUclips... amazing film quality, abundance of mushrooms, surrounding nature... perfection.

Wow beautiful finds. That’s just enough to make me happy walking thru the forest. Very nice!

Sure, good luck and enjoy :)
Are those coral mushrooms edible too? God really blessed your country for neverending mushroom season...
Some coral mushrooms are edible, some not, some even poisonous as far as I know. And as they are difficult to distinguish, I rather don't pick them.
I enjoy watching your videos.
Glad you do, thanks for watching :)
Hi luke ,I'm from Indonesia, I really like your video ❤
Hello, I'm glad you like it :)
Here in Washington state US there are so many commercial pickers places are pretty well wrecked. They pick almost everything and what they don't want they destroy.
That's pity. Sometimes here I have the same experience after some pickers, but usually they are not commercial ones.
You have amazing forests!! Fabulous finds! Beautiful! Your still photography is gorgeous!
Thank you! So much praise :)
beautiful mushrooms 😍
Glad you like them / Dzieki :)
All the mushrooms I'm dying to find. Thank you 🍄🍄
Thank you too :)
Wow, the pink coral mushroom photo would be so beautiful for a print!
I'm glad you like it so much. My pictures are available as prints and the red coral will soon be here: www.lukesmushrooms.com/pics/017866514-red-coral

I like them too, maybe even more than chanterelles. And also here not all mushroom hunters know them, which is good for me :)
Keep safe in the forest always and enjoy picking mushrooms
Thank you
@@LukesMushrooms your welcome
The mushrooms I picked were white cap
Those woods remind me of woods here in Ireland with streams running through
Then you must have very nice forests there :)
😂wonderfull mushroms are you à mycolog because you very well the mushroms 😊see you in a next vidéo 📹
Thank you. And no, I'm just an amateur / hobbyist :)
Hi Luke I'm from Ireland and I come from a farming background we had one field that used to have lots of mushrooms
Hi. It must be great to see mushrooms growing in your field :)
see you next time, thank you
Thanks for watching

Nice, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info :)
Amazing! I always enjoy your videos. Do you have any recommended websites (or books) for learning about edible mushrooms in Europe?
Thank you. Unfortunately I have no recommended books at the moment. My main source is a Slovak website nahuby.sk which I like to visit often.

I think you need to wear gloves my love😁☺️
If you mean the scratch on my hand, that didn't happen during mushroom hunting :))
