I can see some thar fans here bashing you for your decision…jimny is a beautiful vehicle and as capable as an off roader could get…thar is more show and “bhaukal”…rather than practicality and off road credentials…this will be more comfortable…more comfortable…and serve well even as a primary day to day vehicle…congratulations
It is underpowered, low torque, in trickier situations engine has to be revved hard to come out despite of its low weight, rear seats are not at all comfortable with no thigh support and minimal width, its front seats are narrow too, driver will be seating in cramped space which will be frustrating in longer drives, Maruti defied its own logic by making Brezza a more voluminous car tagging it a SUV that it even looks bigger than some upper segment cars like Kushaq, but made Jimny a punny sized vehicle, with Maruti's logic Wrangler, Defender sort of vehicle should have non-existent to this world, even in India the places which are known to be remote with narrow roads are served by Bolero Camper, Bolero Pick-up for transporting goods. That too, Jimny is overpriced.
@@videosulllike3110 i do not know if you have first hand experience of the jimny or not…i do not own either jimny or thar…but i am part of an off roader circle here in the south and a couple of jimnys were added to the circle…let me get something straight away…if you are looking for outright acceleration then jimny is not for you…but it can do highway speeds and cruise all day long at highway speeds no issue…the N/A engines produce power higher in their rev range so it is meant to be revved…that is how it is supposed to be worked upon…have you never driven a gypsy?…jimny has always been a small car…it is known internationally…it’s a kei car…we all knew it was small what is this fuss about size equating to price i do not understand…yes the jimny is overpriced but isn’t the thar overpriced as well…we did a 100 km run back and forth in the jimny to get to a trail…the back seat was comfortable enough for trips like that…it still has better space than thar to get you out of situations where it absolutely comes down to using it as a family car…it has brilliant suspension and much larger boot…a more comfortable car overall…it is not utilitarian like the bolero camper you are talking about…it feels modern and contemporary…make no mistake i love both the the jimny and the thar…but there is just unnecessary bashing of a good car just because we have to compare it with something else and prove one product is superior than the other…the jimny and the thar are purpose built off roaders they are bound to cost more than your regular brezza…both are targeting the same set of enthusiasts at its core but the approach they take towards solving their purpose is very different.

I was expecting thar😂, anyway Suzuki is no brainer it will be good daily driver and given the narrow roads of uttarakhand mountains, even I carve for 4x4 when driving on slippery incline of mountains. I just hate it's 1500cc punny engine. But it will serve you well.

Now I am very sure you have not have a very good understanding related to cars. But I am surprised you got delivery so soon which clearly indicates that a lot of people cancelled their bookings of this rectangle. It's has the worst water wading capabilities , underpower engine for an offroader. The only food thing is narrow size for mountains but the Celerio -4x4 would have been a better contender.
