Aftermarket quality mods available for Jimney is insane as SUV was popular globally especially Japan. I am seeing lots of accesories imported from Japan especially the classic grill which makes it even more beautiful. Definitely the one for enthusiasts.

Bought a Suzuki jimny recently. Here's why i bought it! Basic english bhaiyoo!
1. Suzuki jimny is 100 % suitable for an Adventurous family with kids who love to drive long distance , Off-road & prefer to go over landing .
2. It is comfortable on bad roads & can go mostly go everywhere where a Mahindra Thar would go.
3. It can easily navigate small lanes and estate roads. The approach and departure angles are better compared to other off-road vehicles.
4. Jimny mostly Ticks all the basic requirements of a 4x4 car.
5. Customisation is easily available across the world for jimny & well modifications can easily make this car stand out boldly among all 4x4 cars.
6. With the 5-door configuration, the Jimny is family-friendly.For me the Major point in ditching a Mahindra Thar is its shortage of extra 2 doors.Well on a Suzuki jimny because of the extra 2 doors provided for the rear seats the kids sitting behind can escape out easily in any emergency situation.
7. Mahindra Thar stands out as true off-roading car & will always be loved & admired by hardcore Off-road enthusiast.
8. My first choice! Mahindra Thar ! As a bachelor i would always prefer a Mahindra Thar.
9. If Mahindra Thar is the GOAT (Greatest of all time) then Suzuki Jimny is the true MOUNTAIN GOAT😊

Fantastic comparo, Rachit. However, the Jimny seems to steal the show with its simplicity, practicality and superb looks. The Jimny is also the cheaper car to maintain in the long run, given that it uses Maruti parts, rides on 15 inch tyres versus the 18 inchers on the Thar, etc, etc. THAR petrol is a fuel guzzler, whereas the Jimny auto (although a dated TC) provides a better drive experience with way better FE. So, overall, for an everyday car to an occasional off roader, the Jimny is your best bet.

You missed a major point in favour of Jimmy. It’s petrol fuel based and will not trouble in cold temp and no DEF issues . Reliability much higher than Thar…
@bj5253 One more important thing....he did same track with different tyres...Thar has AT tyres and Jimny has stock HT tyres...I think...whatever jimny did with HT tyres and lower powertrain...is more than enough .

Thar has the weight and power but Jimny is capable and agile. Jimny lacks presence some say whereas others say the Thar is a Chapri car .
Hi Mahindra Thar is good 4x4 suv but maruti - Suzuki Zimmy 4x4 is also good suv for off road /on road ok
The stock tyres on Jimny are suited for Highways and not all terrain. I am sure the sliding would have been much controller on AT tyres. The ride quality and practicality of Jimny is far better than thar.Great video.

Thar has struggled where Jimny has smoothly glided. Especially in Thar desert. There is a Jaisalmer dunes video where Thar got stuck and Jimny shone. Jimny rules in mountains, snow, sand and almost everywhere. But Thar struggles in many places.

Maine thar nikal ke Jimny li hai mere liye practical hai. It's fulfilled all my needs door, boot, mileage at stock in 17kmpl ,light weight doesn't stuck, compact in narrow roads and good high speed stability at highway than thar because of it's good small dimensions that's my opinion only👆.

Dumb people are calling Thar as Baap forgetting that Jimny has legacy of 40 years while Thar is cheap copy of jeep wrangler. Most people commenting Thar Thar are Activa riders.
The same thar got a descent history in indian market, where as jimny is new in indian market.... Let jimny prove its worth where as thar is unmatched in india 👍🏻
@@vinunbhasi564 Jimny was already on sale in India as Gypsy which was launched way back in 1985 in India and has proved to be very capable vehicle for Indian Army, Indian Police and is extremely reliable too. Jimny is not new to Indian market.

Jimny's legacy in India only eclipses Thar's. and having driven both, Jimny is a far more comfortable car. One pothole in Thar and it feels like i went through an earthquake. and the rear is so claustrophia inducing that my friends sat at the back felt sick and we had to stop the car to allow the girls to take a breather.

Jimny is a simple, no nonsense car. Jimny can be an all purpose car, be it in city or highway or off road or anywhere. It's practical too. Yes, it has less power, but it has less weight too. And with better tires, it will perform better in off-road situations I am sure.

Jimmy: 85.84 bhp/ton
Thar: 73.45 bhp/ton
Gurkha: 64 bhp/ton
Jimny's power is good but tyres are bad.
