The Compass' 9 speed gearbox is too slow to pick up from 0 to 60. Hector doesn't do anything special with this engine and last I saw, Hector Diesel comes only with Manual. What's different in Safari is the 6 speed Hyundai sourced Torque Converter which is not too fast to shift but a good match for the engine. Put the car in sports mode and it leaves behind Hector and Compass because safari holds on to the gears while getting the engine soaring at peak performance. 4) Rugged build quality. They made the best of that omega arc platform. You will feel like ploughing through the broken city roads with the Safari. It is so much fun! 5) Extremely contained body roll. You can put this car into corners at high speeds without having to worry about the unsettling feeling you get from body roll. Excellent work Rachit and Team! You guys cover everything in all lengths and breadths. Thanks a lot! We get to see a real time comparison just sitting at our homes. When these vehicles are being talked about, no body talks of the key usability aspects, like XUV 700 has reduced the middle row leg space, the comfort in the center is very poor, which makes it uncomfortable, infact XUV 500 has better sitting space both front and rear. Safari has air flow vents in the door pillars in second row with very poor air throw (the issue that was with XUV 500 as well) makes the AC useless in second row in summers, I don't know why don't they test while developing the cars. These basic should be taken care which makes a vehicle more user friendly, the glossy finishes (not to mention the panel gaps) and flimsy features don't fit the bill when it comes to usability. 9:31
Rachit bhai excellent review. It takes hell lot of guts & honesty to tell the drawback of your own car, great job, keep it up. The final verdict is very clear❤
Even though I like the fact that I have never seen a facelift version of any car from Mahindra, I still feel they need to upgrade their production because if the car has a waiting of 2+ years, when it is delivered the design will look outdated
Still XUV giving neck to neck competition to the newly launched safari facelift, and u all r comparing a 2yr old car wid an newly born facelift 👻😂😂 just wait for the XUV facelift...
Still XUV 7OO giving tough competition to safari After 2 years of coming XUV7OO . You all are comparing 2 year old vehicle to newly launched facelifted vehicle then wait for XUV 7OO facelift
@Rachit.... Love your and your team's passion regarding cars and passing on the correct information about them to us viewers. Keep it up team Motoroctane! You make the car buying simpler and unregrettable!
Tata and Mahindra have made big strides in last one decade especially in styling, safety and features, but to be honest the refinement of engine, reliability, after sale service, finesse are not upto the mark still. That’s why you would see many 15 years old Honda City or Toyota Innova doing pretty good on road but never a Tata or Mahindra car , as they lack longevity
Bro, XUV Headlight is the most powerful one in the whole segment..... u'll get more than u need.. U can justify the same just by looking at the size of the headlights... Personal experience 💪
My personal preference is Tata Safari. We don’t need crazy power. Features are just great. And a white interior gets dirty so we need a dark interior and Safari gives us just that. We don’t need AWD/4WD/4x4 like other Indians. I’m not a Tata Fanboy I like both companies. It’s just Safari is like best for us.
Does the new Safari have Adaptive Cruise Control? Also, if you’re buying such an expensive car (relatively) - is Diesel still a good option considering the anticipated new regulations that will go against Diesel vehicles?
The 700 remains the King, the best in class and comparable to Mercedes in driving comfort, power and handling. The service and customer centricity by M&M is eons ahead of Tata. Tata Safari went thru the facelift just to get comparable to 700 but remains 'Namak Kam'! The aggregated Safari vs. R&D based developed 700 makes great investment sense as well. My vote remains with 700!
@@alok5065lets not underestimate any company ..may be u have a inferior mindset you dont want to compare with mercedes there are people out there who even call mercedes has cheap cars.
Hi guys, you hv been doing an amazing job with the videos. Very informative and help a lot in making decisions. It would really be helpful if some basic features of lower models can also be discussed.
I’ve xuv700 Petrol auto, in terms of performance XUV still has edge but for looks and features Safari is way ahead. XUV has lot of software issue, Alexa doesn’t work 80% of time and even apple carplay is not stable after almost two year of launch.
You Guys are Seriously very Helpful for us I love your reviews always your reviews are very genuine and transparent about the vehicle seriously I’m very thankful to you from the bottom of my heart ❤🙏
In terms of All over package XUV 700 Is better.... Weather it is *drive* *Performance* *Reliability* *Practicality* *More_power* *Engine* *options* *All* *Wheel* *Drive* *feature* ( autopilot ) But it u want affordable *LAND* *ROVER* then go with ( *safari* )
Please do a Top 10 series. Like 10 most unreliable worst cars in Indian market that has the worst service. That will give people a more clear picture of which Car's to avoid & not burn money.
Dear Rachit you can further help and guide many potential buyers of both these vehicles and other interested viewers of your channel by extensively explaining the ADAS features of both these cars because after personally driving the new facelift Tata Safari highest variant...... that is accomplished plus automatic on two separate occasions it was really disappointing for me to see that the autonomous emergency braking was not functioning at all ....... Plus the adaptive cruise control also sometimes doesn't engaged at the right time and we have to struggle for it....... Also please mention that the new Tata Safari still doesn't have its own native navigation and maps system....... Also it doesn't have any on demand music like the Mahindra XUV 700 & and no third party apps of daily utility like news , weather , food ordering , etc...as seen in XUV 700 ...... Please throw a detailed light on these aspects that I have mentioned whether they are going to get improved over the time with updates or they are now going to be permanently absent in the Tata Safari.......😊😊🙏🏻🙏🏻
Well now that the comforts & luxury feature list of Tata Safari has improved but still it lacks the inbuilt native navigation / Maps ,apps , which is available even in much smaller and cheaper cars ....... also that it's a ADAS needs to be made further reliable and efficient ........hence , XUV 700 having more pick up with nearly the same mileage........ I probably feel that you should go with XUV 700 at the moment in further now that it has got a small update which includes ventilated seats and some other small additions ........😊😊👍🏻👍🏻

❤ 1st channel comparing its rival car one by one
Going so fast
❤HARDWORK!!
Superb & Stunning ❤,
No words to express my happiness for Rachit Bhai you are bringing this type of precious cars comparison video.
Love you ❤
Dude today i took i ride of both this car and trust me nothing can beat xuv700. That drive and feel is just unreal❤
Even though I like the fact that I have never seen a facelift version of any car from Mahindra, I still feel they need to upgrade their production because if the car has a waiting of 2+ years, when it is delivered the design will look outdated
My favourite XUV 700 due to AWD SYSTEM
Safari dark edition 🔥
Thankyou so much rachit sir and whole motor octane team for clear our confusion 👏👏
Tata Safari anyday ❤
Aaja drag race kar lenge 😂😂💪🚀🚀
Still XUV giving neck to neck competition to the newly launched safari facelift, and u all r comparing a 2yr old car wid an newly born facelift 👻😂😂 just wait for the XUV facelift...
There is so much confidence in safari that I can feel it through the camera
Still XUV 7OO giving tough competition to safari After 2 years of coming XUV7OO . You all are comparing 2 year old vehicle to newly launched facelifted vehicle then wait for XUV 7OO facelift
bhai xuv bhi safari ke 7 mahina baad hi launch hui thi........
Abhi ke liye safari achha hai, baad ka baad me dekhenge@
@Rachit.... Love your and your team's passion regarding cars and passing on the correct information about them to us viewers. Keep it up team Motoroctane! You make the car buying simpler and unregrettable!
I was waiting for this video since TATA launched new safari. You did a great job bro. Loved your dedication. Thank you for making this content.
@@LangLieun-ow3xlhow much do you get for this comment
@@LangLieun-ow3xl Then why are you commenting the same trash under all comments
Hey Rachit, love seeing your videos. Keep going. Your videos are very informative.
Really well done comparisons. Also make Scorpio vs Harrier please.
Dono alag segment ki car hai.
Thanks Sujan. Looking forward to catch up soon :)
@motorctane - why is the screen flickering while driving in XUV700? Any display issue? 21:26
Harrier/Safari anytime.. and after thus face-lift these two are much better now
Great job motoroctane both r the best cars in their respective segments after all made in India 🇮🇳 ❤❤❤❤proud of them 👏👏👏👏👏
The fact that xuv’s infotainment still miles ahead of the competition!
Thank you bro because of your fantastic comparison i bought tata safari instead of xuv 700 , still now i didn't feel sorry for buying tata safari ❤❤❤
Their comparison reminds of i20 vs polo ... One has better features while polo offers great performance...
Great and detailed review, thank you so much.
Safari me engine ko tata tune (more power) kar deta to without any doubt ye best car hoti segment ki.😊😊
XUV has always been a fun to drive car. It's still is. Ek drag race tho banta hai 😀
Was waiting for this video since u posted on Instagram.
I was very confused between the two , thank u for the video rachit bhai
Tata and Mahindra have made big strides in last one decade especially in styling, safety and features, but to be honest the refinement of engine, reliability, after sale service, finesse are not upto the mark still. That’s why you would see many 15 years old Honda City or Toyota Innova doing pretty good on road but never a Tata or Mahindra car , as they lack longevity
Great video and comparison. Great job done
Xuv700 resale value is great
Bahot acha comparison bhai i love it ❤
Rachit's logic to test headlight throw
For Safari - in a sophisticated place
For xuv - in an open environment
Bro, XUV Headlight is the most powerful one in the whole segment..... u'll get more than u need.. U can justify the same just by looking at the size of the headlights...
Personal experience 💪
@@Anatoly_Dyatlov oo bhai wo sahi bol rha hai lagta hai you are also sold like rachit
@@Anatoly_Dyatlov , Bhai yeh bata ki jan Chernobyl ka blast hua, tab tum toilet me tha ya control room mein?
My personal preference is Tata Safari. We don’t need crazy power. Features are just great. And a white interior gets dirty so we need a dark interior and Safari gives us just that. We don’t need AWD/4WD/4x4 like other Indians. I’m not a Tata Fanboy I like both companies. It’s just Safari is like best for us.
Does the new Safari have Adaptive Cruise Control? Also, if you’re buying such an expensive car (relatively) - is Diesel still a good option considering the anticipated new regulations that will go against Diesel vehicles?
Never knew we will be seeing competition between self made cars.. future is bright for India
Comparing Mahindra with Mercedes 🤣🤣🤣tf are you smoking
I own xuv 700. Maybe driving n handling is good equivalent to some of mercedes cars but in comfort mercedes is brilliant xuv is good too. ..
@@alok5065lets not underestimate any company ..may be u have a inferior mindset you dont want to compare with mercedes there are people out there who even call mercedes has cheap cars.
I love Tata Motors cuz Harrier Dekh lo Ya Safari dono Tagdi lgti h SUV Bulkier And Look Wise bhi Best hai ! Baki performance Idhr udhr hote hi hai
XUV ❤
Safari❤
Thank u Guys i was waiting for this compero only❤
Hi guys, you hv been doing an amazing job with the videos. Very informative and help a lot in making decisions. It would really be helpful if some basic features of lower models can also be discussed.
Tata has 60+ plus varients.
It's amazing to see that the Indian car companies are becoming the best in class in some categories
Safari has a good come back 👍
we bought XUV by ur guidence....thank u
if I go with base models for any of them? which one would be better and more preferable? XUV700 OR SAFARI?
Took the XUV and Safari in same bad roads back to back while test ride, and I made my mind going with Safari, XUV’s suspension are more like sedan.
I’ve xuv700 Petrol auto, in terms of performance XUV still has edge but for looks and features Safari is way ahead. XUV has lot of software issue, Alexa doesn’t work 80% of time and even apple carplay is not stable after almost two year of launch.
Thanks for this awaited comparison. Lookinhfor petrol version of Tata safari. Good discussion from u.
My favourite tata safari ❤
My favourite XUV 700❤❤❤😊
Jitne v features missing hai xuv700 me 2 saal pahle wo sare features available tha ..baki vehicle's de rhe the 😅
You Guys are Seriously very Helpful for us I love your reviews always your reviews are very genuine and transparent about the vehicle seriously I’m very thankful to you from the bottom of my heart ❤🙏
Awesome 😍😍
12:35 bhai tumhari xuv700 hai es liye etna acche se present kr rhe ho osse
In terms of All over package
XUV 700 Is better....

But it u want affordable *LAND* *ROVER* then go with ( *safari* )
XUV 700 doesnt have autopilot, its called ADAS, Safari has it too now infact a Lvl 2 ADAS contrary to XUV 700s Lvl 1.
lane keep ssist is coming soon in safari with software update
This is what I was waiting for 🙏❤️

Maha-Comparo Awaiting 💓💓💓
Xuv me brightness Increase kiya gaya he and safari me Decrease kiya
Both tata and mahindra give best cars always then others.
In this comparative 00 series is making imprees to indians now.
Please throw a detailed light on these aspects that I have mentioned whether they are going to get improved over the time with updates or they are now going to be permanently absent in the Tata Safari.......😊😊🙏🏻🙏🏻
which is one is best safari or xuv ?
Well now that the comforts & luxury feature list of Tata Safari has improved but still it lacks the inbuilt native navigation / Maps ,apps , which is available even in much smaller and cheaper cars ....... also that it's a ADAS needs to be made further reliable and efficient ........hence , XUV 700 having more pick up with nearly the same mileage........ I probably feel that you should go with XUV 700 at the moment in further now that it has got a small update which includes ventilated seats and some other small additions ........😊😊👍🏻👍🏻
THANKS A LOT, BEEN CONFUSED INN THESE TWO BUT WAS WANNA GO WITH TATA
My favorite safari ❤
