- Well, they took a page from Adam Sandler and decided to film a movie during their vacation in Europe together, and yep... it turned out pretty awful. Likeable people alone does not a good movie make. Here are the aca-sins of Pitch Perfect 3.

Lily talks in the first one, too, breifly. Amy makes the joke of "Bitch, you don't have to yell" when Lily finally talks loud enough to hear.
I never have been able to figure out the movie-logic behind the Bellas picking a girl to be in their group when they couldn't even hear her, though.
Emi Hasumi the joke was that the others were so bad they’d prefer to have someone that doesn’t speak.

Do you really think he'd sin the movie as he watches it in the theatre? He has a team that helps him write some. No doubt he thinks of some of them, but he wouldn't say them out loud.

I think I know what that means. I used to have this feeling about some girls too back when I was at secondary school. "Breastfed" girls are those who you can say have a really good relationship with their mum. They are always wearing bright nice colours, have good hairstyles and you know for sure they are doing their best to have good grades at school. They look like their outfits have been picked by their mums. Always nice girls, clean, pretty, minimum make up. Like they discuss everything in their life with their mums. Like these girls' idea of the best afternoon is chilling in the garden drinking coffee with their mom.
Their mums look at them always proudly, because these girls never rebel, don't go out, don't chase jerks and never talk back. They are just good girls with good grades.

This is actually plausible. At my high school reunion, all the singers got together and performed a few songs spontaneously. We hadn't prepped or practiced anything. We did take a few minutes to warm up and discuss what to sing, but other than that it was basically getting together after ten years with no prep to sing.

Those 2 girls Who Barely have any lines are Kelley Jakle and Shelley Regner and both are very good singers in real life!
It's a running joke from the first movie, but as Rman Nayr said, they are both excellent singers (Kelley is also a composer) with solid musical theater experience. Kelley Jakle was a member of the SoCals, so her credentials in a capella singing surpass the rest of the cast.

On any US military base, Taps is played over the PA system at the beginning of "quiet hours" - usually 2100 (9pm). Always. Period. A USO show doesn't stop that. Instead, the USO show would have been scheduled to stop before then. The reason they had this problem was because they were added to the tour - a tour already scheduled in advance, including start times - which means they extended the length of the show a few minutes. This was simply bad planning, and not at all unrealistic - especially when you consider that non-military contractors tend to make these plans without having a full understanding of military life.
There's also a video of a Robin Williams show (I believe it was a USO show) where the entire crowd does an about face for Retreat. I can't remember a single time where everything DIDN'T stop for a bugle call.

Yeah thats great and all, but how would any person with no involvement in the military know this? The movie doesn’t explain it at all so even if there is a perfectly realistic explanation for how this could happen, the movie is too lazy to explain it and just randomly sticks it in then leaves it there without any reason given.

Abi W - You don't have to know it. The movie made it plain as day that the girls didn't know it, which was enough. The people that have to know it are the ones making the video saying it's "wrong". If you're going to judge something like this, you should do your research. As always, the folks writing for CinemaSins did zero research.

Remove the sin for taps. It's played at the same time, every day, regardless of what's going on. In fact, the film probably got the idea from the real life instance when taps interrupted a Robin Williams comedy show during his USO tour.

My problem is, why would they schedule the show during the time when taps was being played? And if it couldn't be avoided, why wouldn't they inform the Bellas it was going to happen?
You're forgetting that they have piss poor communication to not inform the Bellas of what time the Taps take place and what's expected of it during that time. I wouldn't sin the Bellas on that one but the military.

You forgot one sin: in the boat ,Amy’s dad says “9 minutes” to the bellas before they sing, then when they start singing the chorus which, was like 1 minute later thanks to Amy’s fighting, the dad says “4 minutes” when really it would have been like 7 or 8 minutes,either he really is dumb,his watch is rigged,or this movie really was written by a child, and also when Amy is about to start fighting,you could hear in the background the bellas starting to sing the chorus,but when she finishes,they just sang it again,like WTF those are 2 sins right there lol

An additional nitpicky sin for me, Amy is wearing a My Little Pony shirt in the style of the current show, which came out in 2010. The first Pitch Perfect was released and takes place in 2012, when Amy is a freshman in college. She's obviously really young in the flashback, so it's definitely before 2010. So what the hell gives, movie? How'd she get that shirt? Is she a secret time traveler?

Just another series that made one good movie and then went to trash. I always dug Pitch Perfect. Then I saw the second one and thought it was one of the worst sequels of all time. This movie looks even worse.

I loved the first pitch perfect, the second one was ok and the third.... an excuse for these singers to get back together and try some Adam Sandler level of maturity jokes with Elizabeth Banks acting flaky and vain again
Elizabeth just made the sequel less and less interesting from the second to third, never bothered to watch the third one

Nathan Palmer I have mixed feelings about the movie, even before I read the book. I liked it enough though that I read the book immediately after I saw it and was so shocked at how different it was. Have you read it?
@Tori May They may be vastly different takes on the story, but sometimes what happens in print is just not feasible on screen.
