    One thing Mötorhead will always be the best at, in comparison to other bands, is the consistency of their sound.

    • @user-lh8rb5wx6q
      @user-lh8rb5wx6q 8 лет назад +6

      So true. Bomber, Overkill, Ace of, ...and Motörhead...are all time underrated classics and how great was it not?

    • @user-lh8rb5wx6q
      @user-lh8rb5wx6q 8 лет назад +6

      Underrated means that I believe that the quality of this work is just that; underrated. People heard ace of spades, heard on Lemmy and got that logo on a shirt. To me, right or wrong, Motorhead were a statement and Lemmy did what few people are able to: He stayed consistent on his thoughts and gained cred on it. But he never changed, I mean, not in a commercial way. They played rocknroll. Consequently. He literally did this until he died and he named his band Motorhead. And not for show.
      The people that love them know this, sure. But Lem had to more or less die until they had any ”official success, Motorhead was not selling out stadiums ever. Few people would mention the anthem Motorhead.
      It may be acclaimed by the fans today but I don’t care on you. I think this band, era, songs were underrated as classic as they are. By classic I refer to me. I dont know or care on else.

    • @user-lh8rb5wx6q
      @user-lh8rb5wx6q 8 лет назад

      I never mentioned Lem´s death in particular. I know about Motörhead, what are you thinking? I have this opinion: The general knowledge on Motörhead is overshadowed by Ace Of Spades and Lemmy as an iconic almost cartoonish figure. Something I never felt he was. And since I believe that Bomber, Motörhead, and Overkill and that lineup was - in general - underrated. If you know the band and are into them is not my point. Is just as how it is sad that say ”Satisfaction” is such a well known and appreciated tune when Gimme Shelter never reached nearly as many copies or plays.
      Do you understand that underrated to me is not about you. Or some hardcore fan. I don’t think they were some garage band, or need to prove I know about the band and it´s eras. You don’t want an opinion? Then why are you even ... present? I wont be sorry for saying that them songs and even the band is not portrayed for what it was at best. Maybe you have another opinion!? So what? May I please have mine?
      ci ao

      he is right!!stupid.i m german and lemmy always said in metal magazines that motörhead would nt have survived without the germans.and he was grateful to the germans and promised that he will never forget this fact.,,GERMANY KEPT US ALIVE;;he often said.and after no sleep til hammersmith ,sucsess was gone.later on,no one wanted to book them,except the germans.it was to few to live and too much to die he once said.and their records never sold well,until he became older and the metal scene honored him.and almost suddenly sucsess came with it.so at least -especially in the 80ties they could only play in germany.the germans were the loyalest motörheadfans.after,,ace of...and ,,no sleep,england forgot them and the rest of the world.not we germans.we saved lemmy.he made no secret out of it.rip lemmy.

      very sad indeed seeing a group of extremists (not only religion, anything can be get extremed, and it's never good about it) justified themselves with all sorts of stupid excuses and reasons for killing their fellow human beings!
      FUCK! WE'RE FUCKING SAME!!! They all should learned more about biology, and human anatomy.

    Ain't a hope in hell,
    Nothing's gonna bring us down,
    The way we fly,
    Five miles off the ground,
    Because we shoot to kill,
    And you know we always will,
    It's a Bomber
    Scream a thousand miles,
    Feel the black death rising moan,
    Firestorm coming closer,
    Napalm to the bone,
    Because, you know we do it right,
    A mission every night,
    It's a Bomber
    No night fighter,
    Gonna stop us getting through,
    The sirens make you shiver,
    You bet my aim is true,
    Because, you know we aim to please,
    Bring you to your knees,
    It's a Bomber

    They are the SHIT. Love it. I remember hearing this song as a kid and just being transfixed by the performance, but I was never really interested in the music. Twenty years later and my collection of music has taken me in a range of directions not least of which is a far more organic sound in rock'n'roll, from what was over produced and compressed dance/indie/pop music. I now own the discography and I never imagined I would, but I find it so easy to listen to now. And best of all its intense.

    When I was really young I did not like music at all. It was the era of Boney M, Bee Gees and Abba. Up until my cousin played "Bomber" on the radio for me. That was it... METAL FOR LIFE! That's why this song is so special..

    Lemmy was inspired to write Bomber by the book titled 'Bomber' by Len Deighton,
    about R.A.F bombing raids on Germany(as I thought). Coincidentally, I used to work for a famous war comic 'Battle' at the time Lemmy wrote his 'Bomber' track
