@@PaulieD1984 Thank You 🙂
An old friend of mine bumped into Lemmy on the tube back in 1987 on the way up to Acid Daze at Finsbury Park, thought "He looks like Lemmy, but he's not all that tall". said hello and it was the man himself, happy to be recognised and to engage in conversation, even with a tongue tied young fan. She and he were around the same height but he was very much larger than life and an absolute gent.
They don't make rockers like him any more.
Greatest power trio ever. Clarke, Taylor, Kilmister, perfection
Fuck yeah!!!!
100% They had a very full sound, even during solos.. No drop in sound or intensity!.
Imagine them on a fucking tourbus, speed and whiskey everywhere.
Thish is truth!
correct. correct. and correct.
Lemmy was a really nice guy. He used to let me play the fruit machine with him when he came to Camden Town to meet his mate Dave Preston who was my landlord and then watch Bullseye on TV it was a Sunday . This may be too much daft information 😢
No not at all, it's little things like this that I enjoy reading 🙂
Beato teeeee! Qualche altro aneddoto?
@@ScottishTeeVeeExactly!.The band also used to drink in what was known as the ‘Golden Cross’ in Portobello Road.I never saw them in there but heard that Phil Taylor and Fast Eddie had at least one fist fight in the street outside, while Lemmy was,you guessed it,playing a fruit machine inside. This would have been 79/80 .🇬🇧🏴❤️
Every song Philthy Phil ever recorded with Motorhead was done in one take.
Never any corrections in production.
It's called skill and pride.
ORHARDCORE.
Thats what happens when a ww1 vet teaches you I suppose xD... Amazing.
May Motorhead be remembered forever
the best power trio i've ever seen...
rest in peace
Lemmy
Fast Eddie Clarke
Phil Animal Taylor
The Mighty Motorhead playing great heavier Rock&Roll to a dead audience. To this Legends ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
My father used to play Motorhead to put me to sleep when I was a baby. For some reason I have never had insomnia.
To be fair, if it didn't make me headbang, I could comfortably fall asleep to it and have it loop so I wake up every morning feeling badass 😅
My middle daughter would calm down to Metallica on car rides when she was about 2.
That's great parenting 🙂🙂
Seen them in Aberdeen in 80 my first concert couldn’t hear for 3 days afterwards !!! What a band !!!
A great time to see Motorhead, I never knew they had played in Aberdeen
Seen them in Dundee, Caird Hall, 1980 too, amazing. They played Dundee a few times, first was in the Student's Union, The Bowling Alley as it was known, not nearly as loud nor fast!
Motörhead blasted through the genres and trends and survived intact until the end. I got to see the end when he couldn’t finish four songs here in the ATX but then saw them finish a show in Orlando right before Lemmy died.
Austin TX the last every Motorhead show?
That brings me back in the days when I got hooked by Motörhead and I never let go ever since - the best rescue remedy against Disco Pop Poisoning
a radio station where I grew up did a daily "disco destruction" lots of simulated record scratching and bombs going off then break into a Motorhead tune it was excellent !
Best ever Motorhead lineup...r.i.p....you are not forgotten 💔🇮🇹
Dont Forget Mister Brian Roberston Another Perfect Day Album LOVE IT

The Three Amigos!!!
That's likely the best thing I'll see in the world today. Those three men are the foundation on which a thousand songs are built. Thank you for saving this! 🤘👏
Glad you enjoyed it Louis
Motörhead was so bad ass . Eddie was the man on guitar. I saw them back in the day in Orange County Calif and they Rocked . Long time ago now .🤘
There won't never be a singer like him with that voice
I could listen to this forever!
Agreed, even I play it on repeat, over and over again 🎸🥁
I do 2
I love how the mic is set a bit above him and he is just belting up at it all the time. It just gives him such sense of swagger.
he did that because of stage fright, he didn't want to look at the audience
@@chrismemphis8062 Still works
It kinda was because of stage fright..... due to trying to look at large groups of people while on acid.
I have seen them live a few times in Germany. The loudest band ever💪
Same here ...
My Motörhead gig was great but no way was it as loud as Saxon at the Boat Club, Nottingham .. you just couldn't hear the high end at that gig .. and my bootlegs of Deep Purple had cymbals feeding back, so I believed the Guiness Book of Records.
When I saw Motöterhead the volume wasn't nearly as oppressive, but laws were tightened.
Same in France !
NEVER GETS OLD!!!
NEVER EVER ! 🤟
1979 they were at the top of their game, they peaked with Bomber for me personally. If you were there back then you'll understand.
bomber is an amazing album
Know exactly what you mean mate . My first time was 1976 at Mr Digby’s in Birkenhead . My last Stafford Bingley Hall in 1980 , but even then I had began to lose interest . The first three albums are the must haves .
So they peaked in 1979 with 40 more years ahead?? Lmao, come on man.
@@afoolisharrangement No thats when they were their best
I think they peaked with the Overkill album!!
The first concert I went to was Motorhead 1990 Auckland town hall. Sadly not the classic lineup , Philthy , Fast Eddie and Lemmy. But was a great gig
Still a great first concert 🎸😎
I have been on the concert when I was 15 years old in HAMBURG MARKTHALLE 👍
Lemmy's voice from 1975 to his passing is the same voice, his performance with his group likewise. Qualified.
The chic at 0.35, (left of Eddy,) is the only audience member into it. Love it. She's cool enough to know it's fucking good.
A lucky girl getting to sit there with Motorhead playing right beside her and caught on video.
Will never forget my teen years!! 80s was magical!
That's from Scene 79 a German youth tv show with the now world wide famous show host Thomas Gottschalk. I got posters and a great backstage Foto from this show in my collection.
I saw them live at their first Berlin show in 78 at the Kant Kino. Lemmy rules
Brings back memories when was younger out of control not now though... Great band ever
Thanks for watching and commenting Shane
Motörhead war eine großartige und geniale Band
Philthy Taylor is a god damn beast on the drums. Motörhead was the best.
Legends. Inspiration for future generations.
Best crowd ever
German publik.
Drum kit outside of junior high school where you can actually see the drummer! Rarity have always loved MH 🤘🤘🤘
4:52 he bit him for real 🤣
Die beste aller Mtörheads, Fast Eddy, Philty "Animal" und Lemmy! R.I.P. Lemmy
Genau
Thanks for sharing! Classic lineup!
The definition of cool!
It certainly is. I remember watching them on TOTP 40 odd years ago, close to speechless, thinking great music but just so damn cool. 🎸🏍
@@ScottishTeeVee They were real innovators and weren't given the credit at the time.
@@barryjamesw Absolutely Bazza 🙂
One of best mates was in LEEDS ,early 80s.. Lemmy was looking for a good camera shop... my mate ,Kev gave him directions... circa 1981/82 when MOTORHEAD played at the long gone QUEENS HALL
I just can t believe what I am seeing here! OMG! OMG! A myth has died after 40 years!!!! I knew it.....! Just gets nearly tears to my eyes....I ve seen this when it aired first time! It
was my very first touch with Motorhead...After becoming one of their biggest fans....I knew I saw them in 79 on German TV! But was not sure anymore until now! Knew Lemmy lost his sunglasses but was it my imagination?? NOO! Thank you! Now I know it was not a dream.....Hell yes!
Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave such a good comment, much appreciated.
Motorhead playing two of their greatest songs to a crowd of utterly stoic Germans. Well, I guess 1979 was a bit too early for us.
They were probably told to be absolutely quiet for the recording.
'Too late, you can't catch up now/you're faced the wrong way anyhow' - the ultimate rock n' roll band, just letting all the other bands know how it is 🙂PS Clearly high as kites, especially Phil.
Audience was totally stunned, no movement whatsoever, omg! They had no clue at all of what was happening back then, witnessing legends live on stage...
You idiot, the performance was on a music show similar to Top of the Pops. No one was there that night because of Motörhead.
never again .... thats german .....
@@b.murenthaler they saw Devils probably lolss
Overkill always blow my mind..
We will never ever forget you.
R. I. P. !!!!!
The first time I ever heard Motorhead was in 1981 when I saw them live on their Ace of Spades tour. They opened for Ozzy Osbourne at the Rainbow Music Hall, Denver CO. I simply didn't know what hit me, and although Ozzy was great (his voice sucked pretty bad, but Randy Rhoads and the band were incredible!), I couldn't shake the absolute pummeling Motorhead delivered that night! The buzz and ringing in my ears lasted for days! What an experience I'll never forget and I'm forever grateful I was able to see the original lineup in their prime. Cheers!
Lucky man
Счастливый Вы человек. Я только мечтал об этом в те годы, видел их только на обложках пластинок и журналов. Я проживал в Казахстане.
Saw em in NJ on the same tour. That was my Moses moment, coming down the mountain with 15, err 10..10 commandments
Saw them front row same tour (San Diego). My friend tossed his Motorhead hat on stage & Fast Eddie wore it!
This is the real deal, right here! May this trio live forever in the hearts of the rockers of the world now and forever! They deserve it
Singing along to the track
I remember back in the day my cousin use to always say "all their songs song the same"
Лемми во все периоды творчества по свойму крут...
Спасибо, за просмотр и комментарий.
They hadn't had realized yet the looming, moving wall of heavy steel that was barreling straight into their faces with the speed of an exploding supernova...
Thanks for watching and commenting George🙂
Das waren noch Zeiten! Einfach unvergesslich diese 3 Musiker! Ich hoffe die lassen es sich gutgehen dort wo sie jetzt auch immer sein mögen..........
The audience doesn’t deserve to breathe the same air as Motorhead.
Many many thanks to share it with the community!
Glad you enjoyed this Han, I have more Motorhead on this channel, so do take a look.
I did Hammer Man!@@ScottishTeeVee
Philthy looks like he's committing percussive violence to two kits at the same time...
Flipping awesome
I saw it live in TV.
An afternoon TV Show.
People were shocked, booed the band, and Lemmy said some bad words while living.
It was not the bands or audience fault.
They were just in the complete wrong show.
The crowd looks like they should have been at a fuckn knitting class !!
Maybe you're confusing shows, I'm not sure; the Szene audience totally gets it (you can tell by the applause, it's normal behavior by European TV crowds anyway) this was a hard rockin' rock show after all with host Thomas Gottschalk that aired from 1972-79, many other famous rockers were on it from say Status Quo to Kiss ('76 interview/gig review). In 1981 Motorhead appeared twice on Musikladen (formerly Beat Club) one time also with Girlschool and Lemmy solo in '84 with Kirsty MacColl, by '81 that show had morphed into a pop/disco type hit show with the odd hard rock act, when they did "Motorhead" (playback) they wrecked the stage and Lemmy gave the audience the finger, this particular episode was set in an unusual place an old theater, where normally it'd be in the Radio Bremen studios.
@@LarryFleetwood8675 Interesting. This is great video but is also playback; the audio tracks are the studio versions from the Overkill album.
Thrilling. I saw them on this tour. Never forgotten
Raw Unfiltered Rock`N`Roll!!
Beste Besetzung ever von Motörhead R.I.P. Phil / Eddie / Lemmy
Really...quite possiblely the greatest Rock and Roll/ Metal Band ever. Never let flash ( technique wise), fashion or fame sway their intent. This is as simultaneously brain busting, pure and ass kickin' as the first time I heard them. A band's band!!!
The OG lineup, Fuckin Motorhead, love it!!
Can't believe I used to play this on a single bass pedal in 82.
😂😢😢🎉🎉🎉❤
...and the audience goes wild!!!!!
Holy fuck ! What a gem .This is more like it ,the Motorhead i was lucky to experience at townhalls and sport centers;they played everywhere, college shows even,so intimate, powerful and never wirhout ridiculous humor .Band of the peiple
Hello my girlfriend Hammersmith odion
@@neilfletcher48056 times at Hammy. yeah ,I seen them take back the sound record there.
Hello
Hi herd rock band 69 eyes
How they can sit down with their hands in their laps is beyond me . I'd be everywhere .
German audiences are crazy, they sit still for many of the biggest bands in the world who appeared on this show, then on to the stage wanders some terrible German cabaret singer and they all start clapping and swaying around.
It generally comes down to European mannerisms. I clash with my European family a lot because as an American I’m far more vivacious and outspoken compared to the iciness I see from them.
Missed brilliant thanks motorhead sadly missed hi from UK
Motörhead old school ♥🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Yeah, my favourite era of Motorhead.
@@ScottishTeeVee The only version of Motorhead
Motorhead..... Rockin forever
the people didn't know what they were watching. rock and roll
Just the perfect rock n' roll machine....
There`s something unusual about this appearance,I`m pretty sure Lemmy always stood on the opposite side of the stage back then.
there will never be another decade of music like the 70s...........ever
Awesome
Great sound

Motorhead were only the second band I ever heard use twin bass drums,in 1979,Van Halen were the first in 1978.
The crowd are saving themselves for Ace of Spades...
Happy birthday Lemmy!
Classic!
I can't believe they all died within months of each other...
Thanks STV. No one like you.
I appreciate that, thank you.
still love it!!
Dont think the audience appreciated what a great performance they were witnessing, judging by how still they were!
I have yet to see the audience on that show get excited about anything
They Applauded. The Only Fitting Reaction to Mötorhead would be freaking out and Rioting, Trashing the Place.....so these Kids sat Still!😄

the True Motörhead

Philthy scratches his nose,...
Misses a beat or two,...
and Lemmy takes a look why.
Poor Lemmy "WTF?" LOOK.
