And for a no waste project, you could cover a coaster mould with a little clear resin, place the left over metal sheet, face down of course on the resin, then cover the whole thing with black resin. The resulting black ‘veins’ on gold could look rather nice! 🤩🌹❣️

Wow… I’ve never seen paper/card stock used in resin without it being sealed first!! I am so pleased you did it… and it worked out so beautifully!!
IMO - I would think it’s free form… you may use a bowl to assist in shaping it, but you are not using the bowl as the mould… in other words, what you created looks nothing like the bowl you used.

Thanks so much 😊 I don't seal paper and card usually, but you could. It might protect the colour of the card maybe? not sure. I just prefer the resin to be able to soak into it :)
I make resin tumblers and I often use paper or fabrics on them. I seal them well with mod podge or a spray sealer prior to adding the resin because I find the resin soaking in can leave spots that look wet or can even make some fabrics to completely translucent.

Lovely. You can use two metal bowls, one smaller than the other, and get a more symmetrical shape. I mold the resin over there smaller bowl, then put the larger bowl over top. Put them upside down and put a weight on the tool of the large bowl.

I love it! I'mm going to try nail foils with that fine tipped glue too. I have a lot of glues for this sort of thing but this is by far the easiest to use so far
Gorgeous Bowl! Gr8 job! Would it be easier to drape it over something to make the bowl as opposed to making it fit into a bowl to get the bowl shape? I haven’t resined much but seen it done with making cement flower pots from rags…I’m delving into resin tho! Can’t wait! 😊❤❤❤

That's quite lovely. It looked like it was a bit more difficult to manipulate than the last one I saw you do. Did it feel stiffer? Do you think it was due to the card, or just the state of the resin?
