Snack city might honestly be the best idea I’ve ever gotten from the Internet. Last night, my pregnant wife was hungry at like 1 AM, so having a whole host of ready-made food in the freezer for her to choose from was a godsend.
I've been actively maintaining my own snack city for about 3 months, and it has been a massive gamechanger for my fitness goals. Having those macro friendly snacks be so convenient (and delicious!) is amazing. I currently have breakfast burritos, popcorn chicken, pancake bites, taquitos, and the jalapeno broccoli bites in rotation, and I love it!

I make pizza bites using zucchini or eggplant for the base. I also make a taco version as well using the same veggies. If you don’t pre bake the veggies they reheat well. To freeze, I barely bake them before freezing, just enough to keep them held together. That way they aren’t mushy when I heat them up.
Stuffed banana peppers are a good finger food snack as well. I’m trying those broccoli bites, they look really good!
Just made the sausage breakfast biscuits and they are amazing they did flatten way more then I thought they were going to while baking but still really good recipe. Definitely will be making this every couple of weeks.

This is easily one of my favorite channels. With this terrible housing market moving out to my own place has been difficult. But I applied for an apartment and will hopefully be moving out in a few weeks. I can not wait to start my own snack city!

I love this channel! For me, having fries in the freezer and popcorn in the pantry is all I need for the salt cravings! A little greek yoghurt with some honey for the sweet tooth does the trick :)

I'd love a snack city with snacks I can keep in the cupboard or in a box, don't have much freezer or fridge space.
Unfortunately that is nearly impossible in a home kitchen. You have to decrease the water activity to make things shelf stable and that isn’t easy
@@TheMealPrepManual True that, although there is stuff like Pemmican and Hardtack. Foods that were used wayy back in the day that had a looong shelf life.

Ayo Josh, do your vacuum bags sometimes simply lose their vacuum out of nowhere as well? they remain tight but clearly have air in them after a couple days in the freezer.
Yeah sometimes but I usually find that’s just because I didn’t seal them all the way. Once I make sure to press it down completely and revacuum they are fine. I’ve had to throw out probably 4 bags the last 2 years because they had a small hole as well

I have to share a fridge/freezer so there isn't any room in that thing so I bought a fridge with 4.9 cu ft capacity. I built snack city. The freezer is 1.8 cu ft and its fully populated.

I always assumed that you had to allow frozen meal-prep stuff to come to at least fridge-level temperature before you reheated them in a microwave/etc. Otherwise it would be very uneven temperatures around the food.
Is that not the case here? Is it because each snack is smaller and thus easier to reheat internally?
I wish my freezer wasn't so small or i would have it totally filled out withmy own snackncity.

It’s feasible. You just need to microwave everything. Sometimes I’ll do that anyway cause it’s faster. I didn’t get an air fryer until a few years ago. I did everything in the microwave then
