- It's time for everyone to start building Snack City in your freezer for 2023. Snack City in my neck of the woods was wearing thin so I prepped these Jalapeño Cheddar Broccoli Bites, Chocolate Chip Protein Pancake Bites, and Chicken Fries. Here are links to the recipes:

I have been using ZWILLING knives for years and their Fresh & Save Vacuum bags for Snack City for almost a year now so when they reached out and asked if I wanted to collaborate, it was an easy yes. The Fresh & Save Bags and containers are perfect for this Stir Fry application.

On my website there are hundreds of meal prep, snack, and macro friendly dessert recipes that I have developed over the years. There are no targeted ads, no pointless life stories and endless scrolling to get to the ingredient list, just the recipes. I have a subscription based model where Gold Members have access to every recipe on the site, which is under $5/month with annual memberships. If that's not your thing, there is also a Silver level membership that is free for life, still ad free, and you get access to more than 40% of the recipes. Registering to become a member, whether that is a Gold or Silver (free) member, is the best way you can help support what I do. I appreciate all of you more than you know 😎

As a tax paying citizen of Snack City (became a member of your website) I'm glad to see some renovating taking place
I really appreciate your smaller details, like saying you cut it in X many rows by X many columns, or including grams as well as teaspoons. These are solid recipes with clear explanations...which is oddly rare in the cooking world.
Glad it was helpful 😎😎
Crumpling parchment paper just changed my life. Thanks man .
2:02 I made your chicken nuggets with crushed up tortilla chips as breading after I realized I had none of the other options. To this day my daughter says they were the best nuggets she's ever had.
I got an ungodly amount of broccoli from my aunt because her store couldn’t sell it cause it was slightly yellowed, still perfectly good. I plan on making your broccoli bites tonight as one of the many ways to use up an entire shelf’s worth of broccoli.
It’s soo weird how we got conditioned to buy produce in specific shapes and colors. Every time I see a double chined strawberry I look at it like an alien marvel . I was in my mid twenties when I learned that carrots come in colors other than orange 😂😂😅🤯
Make Broccoli beef! I've been just craving Broccoli lately so I'm so jealous of your Broccoli haul!
how did they turn out?
As someone who just bought a new house and am watching my budget in this horrendous market, I appreciate the recipes on your website. I didnt ever think I'd buy into it for any youtube channel but I am super happy I did!
Thanks for your support 😎
Subscribed purely because your instructions are amazing, you explain why you do stuff in a particular way, and you accommodate for people who dont have every kitchen appliance. You also give ingredients in grams and temperatures in celsius, instead of assuming the only people watching this will be using American units. I can't tell you how refreshing that is. I don't mind looking up a recipe but I hate doing unnecessary maths. (I'm a statistics student, I like *necessary* maths lol)
Add pork rinds to the Corn Chex. Also this channel has made feeding our kids much easier. We make everything from scratch and it's so easy to get some fries and chicken that you made in 5 minutes. Takes the thinking away.
so glad to hear that 😎
PSA A dough scraper aka Bash and Chop helps make picking up stuff like the chopped broccoli easier. Dollar Tree, Walmart, Target, etc carry them.
The pancakes bites look great for a weekday quick breakfast too! Thanks for the recipe!
crumpling the parchment paper is a pro move!
look at mr moonoply over here with his liquid egg whites 😂😂
They are cheaper than real eggs where I’m at and it’s not even close haha. $9.99 at Costco for 6 cartons and a dozen of the cheap eggs at the store was $5.50 the other day 🥶🥶
Just ordered the zwilling bags, looking forward to starting my own Snack City. We've been using your chile lemon chicken recipe for salad toppings and it's been awesome!
You can take another sheet pan of the same size you spread your chicken or broccoli mixture and "stack" it on top of the mixture, pressing or squishing it into a very even layer, instead of trying to even it out by hand. You might have to use another piece of parchment or some water on the back of the top pan to prevent sticking, but it saves time and gets you an even layer to cut up into uniform portions. Also, depending on your specific goals for the nutrition of the recipe, you can use finely grated hard cheese like pecorino or parmesan as part of the fry breading. The fat in the cheese helps crisp it up and it adds a lot of flavor.
Wow this was so straightforward and easy to understand. Even the ad didn't feel like an ad, was it an ad? I like this channel
Thanks for showing this..another way to support myself, when dreams and goals look hard.
Your visual references help so much. Thanks!
This channel is great and I use the recipes every week basically, but buttersworth being better than maple syrup is one hot take.
canadian maple syrup is dogass
Nothing beats real maple syrup. You'd have to have been raised on junk with no taste to think otherwise 😜.
@@rachelmel I hated real maple syrup growing up. As an adult, I’ve changed a lot of things about my diet including real maple syrup(and never letting my own kid try the fake junk), soda water with fruit rather than sprite or mt dew, and eating more simple deserts. Now my daughter and I both can’t take the sugar added “maple syrup.” Actually the other day we were volunteering and they had soda and I had a headache. I grabbed a mt dew for the caffeine and was shocked how syrupy and hard to drink it was. People are raised on junk and our taste buds 100% enjoy what they’re used to. This is why I always try things 3-5 times before deciding whether or not I hate it. For everything except pate it’s been a “I just needed to adjust, this is good actually” experience.
@@Hollenross enjoying soda water is a experience i will never have
@@rachelmel True. Real will always be better
This video was made for me. Thank you, Mayor JC.
We’re getting the keys of our house in may. The kitchen has a nice and big oven so I can’t wait for these sheet pan recipes. Snack city here i come.
Congratulations and I hope you enjoy!
I just love all the helpful details. Thank you!! New subscriber!!
got this vacuum sealer not too long ago and it's pretty amazing. love it.
I love this guys videos a lot. I feel like he is more my friend than a RUclipsr
Oddly enough the best thing about this video is the parchment paper trick. Genius
In return I shall tell all of you a secret. Every roll of parchment paper, aluminum foil, etc come with two tabs to punch on the side that keeps the roll from coming out when you pull. Good, we’re even.
Really enjoyed this and the commentary. I double dog dare you to get some Costco Maple Syrup and compare with the artificially colored corn syrup you’re using!
Been meaning to try the chicken fries and pancake bites. Since I’m going to live a long time I’ll be sure to get to them eventually. 😅😅😅
Snack City is currently in the planning and permitting stages at planet KMac. Very excited for my Zwilling set!
amazing 😎
One of the best things about this channel is the real is from Josh. I love how he just says” I didn’t feel like doing this” or “it took too much time this time”
Stoked to see a new snack city!
I cook them with a waffle iron because I don't have an air fryer. It's heavenly.
I got the Zwilling set as a Christmas gift, it turned out to be a great gift, works incredibly well.
glad you enjoy it 😎
where has this channel been all of my life
These look awesome! Thanks for the calorie info too
Love this! I’m. Making these for my teenager! Gives me such peace of mind that he consumes no inflammatory oils.
Snack City is my dream destination
I just broke ground on my own "snack city" by ordering the Zwilling set. Now I just need to clear out the old stock to make room.
He's right about Mrs. Buttersworth and it needed to be said.
Hi!!!!!! NEW SUB!!!! I'm so excited I found your channel!!!! I started my RUclips Weight Loss Journey in November (2022). I've been searching for other RUclipsrs who have knowledge for this journey. Love the positive vibes!!! I am loving your recipe ideas!!!! 💖💖💖💖
Wow so great this popped in my feed! Great videos and website, I am spreading the word.. 🙌👍
thank you and glad you enjoy 😎
Outsmart the vegetables. Genius.
THIS IS WHAT I NEEED IN LIFE
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙇🏼♀️🙇🏼♀️🙇🏼♀️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
this... is... AMAZING!
Thank you
Snack City is the greatest invention ever and you sir are a champion
To add trace amounts of water just wet your hand and continue mixing with your wet hand. You'll never add too much again.( Use a latex glove to save on clean up.)
I love this channel and your Website, but have ever thought about releasing a Recipe Book? would be an instant buy for me
"Check out how much this chicken looks like a brain... *sick*" delivered so deadpan. I laughed. I commented. I liked. I subscribed. ^_^
loving the channel. HEB FTW!
Broccoli bites are really good.
Try putting the sheet rack directly on the oven rack. Better air circulation. Put tin foil on other rack and place it at the bottom to catch drips.
Cheese grater is a good way to rice broccoli without a food processor
the city planning joke got me 😂
hmm maybe hit the mini bite muffins with a torch after baking to get a little browning flavor
one day i will be shopping at costco and i will see snack city products in the frozen food section. i can't wait.
you just gained yourself a subscriber my friend.
Awesome video
I made the broccoli bites a while ago and they were surprisingly good! Was hesitant to eat them because of how much they smelt of broccoli lol but it wasn't that big of a deal. Made the pancake bites too (sans choc chips), but wasn't much of a fan. I imagine if they had choc chips they would prob be better but I'll wait till I eat them all to try again lol. I think my favourite recipe on this channel was the pizza bites. Lots of effort but totally worth it. I could easily finish the whole batch in less than half the time it took to make them, but I made sure to make them last.
Can you substitute other kinds of flour in the broccoli bites? Thanks love the video!
Okay you sold me on the Zwillig set!
Excellent and hilarious as ever 🙌🏼🙌🏼💐💐😹😹
Sadly the promo code only works for US store not UK probably will still buy though as these are super useful product for snack city :)
Pro tip, use 2nd sheet pan covered in plastic wrap to press the chicken flat.
it always sticks to the bottom when i try that 😑
@@TheMealPrepManual Maybe spraying it (the bottom of the pan) with a little nonstick spray?
@@TheMealPrepManual after pressing it down, you unhook the saran wrap from the pan & leave it on the chicken. At that point, you're just lifting the pan off & you peel the saran wrap off the chicken after it freezes
hey, quick question have you ever made or had sambuusa? its great for the snack city community. Its basically just meat with a thin crust and if you add veggies or potatoes it with tastes 100 times better. Just don't add Cauliflower. because lets be honest, Cauliflower is just broccolis inbreed cousin.
I’ve honestly never even heard of it. I’ll have to look it up
I’m allergic to chilli and capsicum (but oddly fine with paprika, don’t know why) - do you know if omitting the chilli would make a difference texture/yield-wise, or is it only added for flavour?
genius idea
Legit flinched at the knife at 2:56
That Zwilling set looks great. Way more compact than a regular vacuum seal set
Mayor up and start building! LOL
would love to see some higher calorie options for those of us not trying to lose weight
Good day from South Africa. Love the channel, Im saving money and loosing weight. One request if I may. I have a very specific diet, I have to cut down on a animal protein and instead get my protein from plants. I know you hate vegetables, so do I but to stay healthy I have no choice. Can you help with a few meal prep ideas?
Let’s be real, salsa and queso is the way to go
You had me dying when you said the chicken looked like a brain
good stuff
Damn...why am I so hungry lol.👍👍
I want to buy the starting set using your link, but I've gotten too many adware warnings to use the link in the description.
Is there another way? I'll wait until tomorrow just in case there is.
9:00 it’s so refreshing to hear a foodie influencer take a stance opposite to the usual “authenticity elitism”. Unfathomably based.
How often do you use the containers I have seen you use the bags a lot bot don't remember seeing the containers getting used
Ima build a Munchie Manor adjacent to your snack city, we'll make chik'n fries out of TVP, our binder will be flax "eggs," and our pancake bites will be gluten free!! Whose with me?! (**crickets**)😂🙃
ETA Ok, my bad, I jumped the gun w one of my assumptions- I see you, Gluten-Free (across the board- nice!!)😉💜✨
I love snack city😃
Keep going bro
Any tipp for Jalapeno replacement in Brocoli Bites?
i think planing snacks has helped me lost so much weight!
Damn I want a snack city but I would at those pancake bites in 2 sittings 😅
More like one 😂
I like Great Value Butter Flavored syrup.
Joined the site in 2023. I need to make things easier
Thanks for your support 😎
Its insane what we will do for the sake of convenience
Is there a substitute for the masa harina that we can use?
Can you re-heat the broccoli bites in the oven, if you don't have an air fryer?
I was looking for a great meal prep snack for trips in my RV (Van). These are great recipes,,,,unfortunately, air fryers take up a tremendous amount of space and are not conducive to RV travel. I suspect the broccoli and muffins won’t work on the stove top or in the microwave. But I’m thinking the chicken might work if quickly fried in some Avocado oil on the stove top.
He actually preps the muffins in the microwave, and I bet the broccoli would work if you did it in a pan!
In the comments someone actually made them on a waffle iron
Look into nutritional yeast to add more cheesy flavor (and vitamins) to the snacks with not very many calories.
How easy is it to clean the zip lock bags? How long do the snacks last in the freezer? I'm guessing a month?
You can invert the bag and clean with soap and water :) and ya usually freezer goods can be frozen for 1-3 months until it start tasting freezer burned :(
Quick hack for chopping the broccoli - throw it all in a large bowl and then run a pizza cutter in and through the bowl. Waaaaaaaay less mess
instructions unclear, chopped the bowl
do baby carrots run when i eat them?
I liked the part with the brain. "Sick!"
Really want to get the Zwilling saver setup, but how do you wash the bags out easily? We've tried to use stasher reusable bags before and they're a pain to keep clean, so worried these would be even worse. Thanks for the recipes!
They obviously aren’t as easy as a regular zip lock that can just be thrown away but I use hot soapy water and it gets the job done. It takes some effort which is more than zero
Hi Josh, Love your channel. Any Zwilling deal love for us Canadians ever going to happen?
Unfortunately the countries have separate entities and I only have been contacted by the US company
@@TheMealPrepManual All good. Thanks for the reply. Bought a set anyway. Love your channel! Snack city is coming to my house soon.
ziplock + straw = diy vacuum seal
You can also wear a glove for mixing the chicken
Is the Zwilling blender comparable to the Vitamix? As a fellow vegetable hater, I am looking for a good blender to make kale not feel like I am drinking green water with hait in it, but a Vitamix is a little outside my price range. Loving these snack city videos, will check these out on the website
Project Farm performed pretty thorough testing of blenders, Nutribullet came out at 2nd place for 1/6 of price of Vitamix, might be worth a shot. Also, Blendtec is a brand often compared to Vitamix, though their basic models have 2 year warranty (not 10 year) and seem to be a quality compromise.
i've got the crappy vertical freezers that are too narrow for a sheet pan... :(
