  • I have finally developed the dish deserving of the name "Hot Thai Chicken"! This recipe has been simmering in my mind for a long time, and when I finally tested it out, it absolutely blew me away. The perfect mix of sweet, tart, spicy, sticky, crispy and tender...this sweet chili lime sauce would be good even on fried tofu or fish. This one is a must-try!

    I've made this recipe twice now and it's delicious!
    Tip: Cook it in an Airfryer then "brown" them quickly in the deep fryer. This way they spend less time in oil.

    I have been doing variations of this for decades...I have so many different flavors...sometimes adding ginger...or even Mexican spices like cumin, or even Adobe(Philippine)...the curry style is great too, it depends on your mood... the key here is the "dry fry" ....meaning coating the chicken in sauce in a pan with no oil... spicy Taraki never fails to wow my guests...Thanks for the videos you are beautiful and you recipes are awesome.. happy eating

    I tried out this recipe with a friend this weekend, and it was absolutely delicious! If you had any doubt trying this, let go of it and just make it. The hassle of frying the chicken is so worth it. If you really dont want to fry it I'm sure you could just panfry it without the egg and flour and it would still be awesome. Thank you Pailin!

    Hi Pai! I've been a huge fan of Thai food since I was a kid but it's always seemed very intimidating to make at home. I never realized how accessible most of the dishes I grew up craving/ordering at Thai restaurants are to amateur cooks until I started watching your videos! My grandparents are visiting right now so I cooked this and gave them khao niew mamuang for desert. It was a hit! Thank you so much for your informative and easy-to-follow videos!
    On the topic of this amazing chicken, I have a question for you. The sauce is AMAZING. Like, incredible. While I was frying my chicken I stole at least 20 licks with my finger from the sauce pot. I can see myself putting this sauce on everything -- tofu, stir-fry vegetables, or even just eating it with rice. Do you think there's any way I could make a large quantity, bottle it, and store it (more or less indefinitely) in the fridge? Or will it not keep? Thanks again!

    • @PailinsKitchen
      @PailinsKitchen  8 лет назад +5

      Yes, it'll last in the fridge for a long time, BUT maybe I would add fresh lime juice as you use it so the flavour it fresh and it will last longer that way too.

    Wow. It looks very yummy. I love the aroma of lime. Perhaps I should try to make this dish one day. Fried chicken coated with spicy sauce ... hmm
