      @@SoCal780 While the driver in question was an idiot, wearing gloves is not as uncommon as you think. Some people have hands that chap easily in cold and/or wind that crack and start to bleed and will wear gloves to help offset that happening or help them heal.
      Also posible is the guys hands were injured such as burns or missing fingers and he wears gloves to hide it. Had a guy at a company i used to work for that lost 3 fingers between two hands and had heavy chimical burns all over them after an accident that wore gloves to hide the injurys.

      That four wheeler at the beginning is a common occurrence throughout the Upper Midwest during the winter. If you noticed there was what appeared to be a trailer on the ice. It's what's known as an ice-house or ice fishing shack. Nothing more than a travel trailer that's been outfitted to park on the ice and fish through holes in the floor with holes that have been drilled through the ice.

    The guy with the doubles and a flat on his dolly axle more than likely didn't know it. I pull a trailer with the super singles and at night you can't see if you have a problem. If one goes flat while going down the road the tire will leave the rim and you won't know it. With an aluminum rim there are no sparks but with the window down you might have a chance of hearing the rim riding on the road.

    Got hit twice in one week by Swift in parking lots. First time in MD, tore up the right side of the front end because he took a corner to sharp with tandems all the way to the rear. Ran two curbs and a grassy area before he drug the truck a foot and a half sideways trying to leave. Second time was on the way to the Yard in OK City from that and the idiot tried to blindside in hitting the truck on the same side finishing off the right side of the hood, the radiator, the intercooler, oil cooler, etc... Just say no to Swift parking near you.

Being retired we only take our Max in our car. I have a very good friend and driver who asked to take my Max with him on a trip. He told me it was to keep the lot lizards at bay. I had to say no because if our baby bit a lot lizard no telling what kind of strange diseases he may have to be treated for. Awwwww yes the dreaded lot lizard. Every stop you get to, every driver is gunnna stop and watch you judging your every move
    If you get in a tough situation theyll be filming you instead of trying to help
    I'm just a yard guy, moving trailers around into tight spaces with no previous experience was hardest when there was a bunch of people watching
    Luckily it's only flatbeds I'm moving so bumping into another trailer is no big deal... n I could look over my shoulder n see everything
    Using mirrors only took time after that
    I feel bad for these new drivers being judged everywhere they go

    Flatbed is weighing empty to know how much weight he can haul, he’ll probably weigh with empty tanks and full tanks sometimes we have to play the fuel level weight game. It’s probably a new truck or trailer for him

    • @MickGallJr

    • @shawnkelly1241
      @shawnkelly1241 3 года назад

      I would fuel up right after a weigh station. Some places wanted to load to the max plus some. So go over the scale empty and legal. Next truck stop fuel up and by next open scale be under half again.. with a 10 foot spread if done right could just before first trailer axle hit the scale dump the air then flick the switch and front fills up and dump the back axle. It was a quick flick flick but could show a wee bit lighter. Then pray not sent to a full lenght scale. Livestock the same, way over load so couldnt fill over half tank so always on empty as cross a scale.
