I have one like this which ive been using in the pool, it gave me confidence to swim properly and ive just started using it for my water aerobics class, so good so far x
Yeah it’s the day for my trip and I almost got a life jacket which would’ve screwed me out of having fun in the water before I think I can swim but I’m not confident lol and don’t want to get humble and embarrassed
Many members often remove the belt when the exercise involve dumbell and or noodle, what are your thoughts on this? Those who remove said there’s too much bouyancy. I personally prefer to keep the belt on.
Can you get the same benefits from the Belt in chest high pool? Especially for Seniors with Medical Restrictions and Chronic Diseases. I think you can.
@@fitmotivation-poolfit-videos I have used a Flotation Belt in a seniors class in chest high water, and found it very useful for a number of reasons. People who are afraid of the Water, People who want better mobility, but because of a number reasons like: medical mobility restrictions or injuries, or Chronic Diseases etc, have be able to stretch and move more easily.
@@deehead6440 Sure. A belt can absolutely be used in shallow water for the reasons you outlined. My response above was simply to assure this person that they did not need a belt to participate in shallow water exercise.
No. The flotation belt is not intended for this purpose. It is only intended for use in water fitness classes to keep people vertical and allow them to free up their arms & legs for aerobic activity. It is vitally important that you possess swim skills & training before getting in the pool and attempting to swim.
I'm a intermediate swimmer and I'm comfortable in water where my feet don't touch the ground, around 6ft. I don't need a life vest, but I want to be able to stay above water if I'm tired. I'm not sure how a floating belt would work if I'm planning on swimming completely underwater. Would the buoyancy not allow me to underwater swim?
Thanks for commenting. I am actually NOT a swimmer. My only experience in water pertains to vertical exercise. The belt is used to help maintain correct vertical alignment, while providing flotation. And so I honestly can't reply as to how the belt would affect swimming in a horizontal position.
I do deep water walking with no flotation device. Much more gracefully than Whatever TF that guy is doing here. Lol. My motions are very similar to cross country skiing. Reaching out as far ahead as i can sweeping my arms back in a classic freestyle stroke, but all under water. I wear only hand paddles to increase resistance. I do the same with legs. I'm 70 years old. I have a torn hip labrum & vascular necrosis of femur. Getting in shape prior to surgery. I do NOT struggle to stay afloat. The water comes almost up to my nose.
Thank you for explaining!! So simple 👍
Thanks for watching!

Wow, this was incredibly helpful, thank you for sharing all that good info! Sold!
Thanks for your nice comment!
can this harness be used by a total beginner non-swimmer without sinking in the water?
If you are a non-swimmer, you would not want to exercise in deep water.
Great info. I do alotta aqua training and I always skipped over the water belt but now I'm going to start using it. Thanks
Hi, have you tried putting all your dead weight? , that is to say it works like a life jacket or you sink if you put your dead weight
Mark, thank you so much for putting this into words we can use with our class members that choose not to wear a belt. Lol.
You are welcome!
Can I use the floatation belt to help me with my sinking legs problem while swimming and help me in Improving my swimming posture ?

How it can be used for free style swimming.it will work?
Where to get this belt ? Thks
The belt I am holding is no longer available. I am now using a similar belt. Hydrofit Classic Wave Belt. Here is the Amazon link: amzn.to/4d328jw
I have that flotation belt. I like it, but it doesn't have enough flotation for my 4% bodyfat, so I am going to get the bigger model.
Hello I'm from Morocco where can I find it

Does much of that apply to shallow ( chest deep ) water as well? I don't have access to deep water :(
Nope. Not at all. A flotation belt is only recommended in deep water

What about 4 ft deep pools
I would think 4 ft pools would be a shallow water workout for most people, and therefore a belt is not needed
Can you use it for free style swimming if you are a non swimmer.
Would it help me cross the pool without drowning in the middle?

Where can I order one ?

Great vid. Im thinking of buying one for surf photography do you think you could duck dive waves with this belt on?
Well...I had to Google "Duck Dive"...haha....but yeah...I think you could because a wave is in motion.
