Your videos are like a warm blanket and a hot chocolate in this horrible (you tube)-world. Seriously, when I can’t take the bad news, wars, politics, crime,… anymore I watch one of your videos! So thank you for helping me keep sane. ❤
I so agree with you on reading so called children’s books as an adult. Not only do I enjoy them, but I also pick up much more of the nuance as an adult.
Miranda, beautiful video as usual. I love the glimpses of the property where you and your Mom live. So idyllic. You remind me to go outside and drink my tea and look at my flowers--even in my much smaller yard. I need to enjoy it before hubby and I downsize. I'm not sure how you keep up such a busy work schedule, but your output enriches my life.
I'm so glad I've found your channel on youtube & subscribed. You've managed to create such a soothing, inspiring and warm world with books and characters and real life)
I’m an early riser, too. I go for a long walk at sunrise, then I enjoy a cuppa tea in the garden. I don’t have sheep to look at but there are plenty of adorable chipmunks.🐿
A lovely post on this Sunday morning (for me on the west coast of the U.S.) from you. Thank you! YOU, Miranda, were my first (& still FAVORITE) RUclipsr, and BOOK RUclipsr. Mum, Donna, is a bonus for me, and no small part of the charm and brilliance of your channel. How ever much, or little, you do I am here for it. I always wish for you a good work/life balance. I often try to imagine all the work that goes into your content. One other item, how happy I am to see all your farmer's market produce items AND the brown bags (NOT PLASTIC), so wonderful!
Hi Miranda, Thank you for taking us outside and showing us your beautiful countryside ! It must be wonderful to sit and have tea,or a meal in such a serene setting. Thank you for the reviews on your recent books. I love your outfits with the beautiful Irish knit sweaters. You are so talented with the placement of the flowers for the setting/scenes of your photos of your book vlogs. I always appreciate your hard work for such relaxing, beautiful videos. Have a wonderful, new week ahead of you. Happiness, Cindy 🌻
I loved Anne’s House of Dreams. Chapter 3 when Anne visits Matthew’s grave and tells Gilbert why she prefers pearls over diamonds is one of the best things ever written.
Dear Miranda, it warms my heart how many of the books you have read and loved I also have cherished and re-read again and again. The Secret Garden I have probably read over 50 times. The Episodes of Sparrows I discovered two years agp and loved it. Two more books of Rumer Godden's that I highly recommend are "Miss Happiness and Miss Flower" and "Little Plum" As always, I think your vlogs are amazing! Sue, from Hamilton, Ontario.
Good morning Miranda. This was a fun video. I love vlogs that cover daily life over several days. Birdsong is lovely to hear in the morning. I am fortunate that my kitchen opens to my back garden so on semi warm days I can fling the windows open to hear the morning songs. Enjoy your week 🌸🪻
I love to get up early. I start the day by walking my beloved Jack Russell Miss Edie Sedgwick 🐶💗 then back home for a green tea, overnight oats followed by Earl Grey tea or coffee ☕️ I love your collection of Emma Bridgewater mugs, those rabbits 🐰 are gorgeous. Best wishes Karen 🌺
You are PHENOMENAL! Love you and your Mom and watch your channel regularly. Feel like I'm spending time with good friends. Thanks for a delightful channel!
Thank you Miranda for your lovely vlog. It is so interesting to see the trees around your home and also the sheep and the lambs. The daffodils are still in bloom here in the highlands of Scotland. About a year ago I listened to the audio book The Making of a Marchioness by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I felt transported to another time and enjoyed the story very much. Emily Fox Seaton is such a gentle soul. Wishing you and Donna a lovely week with hopefully more mild and dry days to sit outside in your garden.
With a view like that I'd love to sit out too, even in my tiny garden it can be pleasant in the mornings. I will have to start my day more often by going out instead of coming straight to the computer. In summer I love an early morning walk with my dog, when it can be too hot later on. I will definitely add Beyond the Secret Garden and An Episode of Sparrows to my wish list. I think you will enjoy House of Dreams, in some ways very different to the others but certainly a great read. As are the the rest of the series. I read them all fairly regularly! Rural Hours sounds very interesting too. I am spending much of my spare time knitting and have begun a more complicated knit than the little hats and mitts that I've been doing. It's called the Coracle Cowl and it's by Scottish designer Ysolda. She has some podcasts on RUclips, including one about the cowl. I'm really happy that I've gone back to knitting after many years and it is thanks to you recommending the book 52 Weeks of Easy Knits, which I never actually bought but you mentioning it was enough to inspire me. A super trip to the market thanks for taking us along. Beautiful flowers and lovely displays. Fabulous Emma Bridgewater items too.
Hi Miranda, that was a lovely treat. I really liked your market basket, I still have my basket from my school days which I now use for shopping (they were all the rage in the 70's at my school ☺19 not 18's). I am really looking forward to hearing your review of Rural Hours as I have this on my wish list but was put off after reading a review in a national newspaper which criticised the books 'thesis' as being 'wobbly and contingent' - I am hoping you will have a more positive experience so that I might go ahead and get a copy for myself as I do value your opinion. Have a great week, Teresa 🧺📚♥
Lovely video, as always! ❤ More videos on your special editions or rather books you collect in several different editions would be highly appreciated. Lots of love from tiny-town Austria, Monica 📚🐾🐾🌷
Thank you Miranda for sharing some lovely snippets from your week. I can see why Donna comments on how hard you work! I'll be so interested to hear your views on Rural Hours which I ordered over the weekend. It looks just my sort of specialist biography.
A day late watching this video but miranda I have to say your garden is amazing and how wonderful to see the lambs out so near by😊 spring is definitely here 😊
Such a delightful vlog: I rewatched the first part three times, so idyllic with the sheep, the lambs and the fresh green of the new leaves❤ I also adored the flowers you arranged so beautifully! I’ll definitely read the other books of the Anna of Green Gables series, I’ve only read Anne of Avonlea but your description of the other books really intrigued me…thank you Miranda for these pleasant moments in your company😊
After my morning 2 mile walk I try to sit out in the garden for my morning coffee and usually end up doing some work in the garden afterwards, I always seem to see something that needs to be done lol ! Xxx
What an interesting and enjoyable vlog. Thank you. It’s so interesting to see a Creative and Influencer work through her day. You are tireless! I admire you.
Loved the scenes of your early morning day. So peaceful. I spent my day in the New Orleans Botanical Garden Spring Garden Show taking a flower arrangement class. Happy Sunday everyone.🌞
Thank you, Miranda!!! What a lovely place you live at!!! I really enjoyed this video, although it made me quite nostalgic, so I hope to be back in England real soon! 🤗💖📚🍀☀️
Lovely video - Frances Hodgson Burnett's 'That Lass O Lowries' about the women who worked in the Wigan mines - is very good - quite a bit like Mrs Gaskell.
What a lovely video - I really loved it! I was really interested in your "daily life" as I also work mainly from home and get up very early - I do seem to sometimes struggle with motivation so it was good to see how someone else manages their time. It was also great to see the market and it reminded me that my local town has a market which I should make more effort to support. You and Donna are both looking glowing so spring in Yorkshire definitely suits you both x
Thanks for a wonderful Sunday evening treat! Every part of this vlog was interesting! The outside of your home is so pretty, and I thought that your living room looked especially lovely and cozy!!
I am an early riser too - I get up between 4 and 6 am. I enjoyed this Reading Vlog. Looks like you have read some really good books. Take Care & Happy Reading ❤️🤗🔰📕📚📖☕️❤️
Can't wait for the upcoming Seasons of Story podcast about An Episode of Sparrows and Family Roundabout! I read both of those for the first time within the last two years. Your flower delivery is gorgeous!
😊Such a beautiful morning!! I'm always struggling getting up early 😢but it's so nice starting your day early. I wish I had song birds or sheep near my window. I got pigeons but they don't sing 😂
I read an Episode of Sparrows over the Christmas holidays and couldn't put it down. Rumer Godden's writing is simply superb and the story has stayed with me. Loved your video chalked full of goodness. Thank you. x
Don’t know where to start. What a wonderful video. The earrings are wonderful. I’m going to have a peak at their store. Book plates - love them. When I first moved to the UK I used to get book plates but for some weird reason I stopped doing that. These ones you showed are just charming. Love Letitia’s books, and this one doesn’t disappoint; so beautifully done. Sift is one of those iconic books - Nicola Lamb has done a fabulous job. Love the dresses. You have immaculate taste Miranda. I’m catching up on your videos. Got a bit disorganized after arriving in Brazil. Have a lovely Sunday!
What a treat! Two videos in a week 😊 !! Miranda, do you have any video about ww2 / historical fiction? I'd love to see your recommentations about that. Have a nice week ahead !
Thank you Miranda. I love your bunny mug and those flowers are gorgeous! I always enjoy your vlogs when you go outside and let us know about your daily activities.😊❤
Hello Miranda and Donna, thank you for another lovely video. I’ve enjoyed glimpses into your daily routines and of course, all the gorgeous content in both this video and your bonus video. I would love seeing future videos of some of your other book collections too. I read My Salinger Year several years ago and need to do a reread of it, and Rural Hours has made its way onto my wants list. And oh, the flower bouquets🥰 they’re just gorgeous. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. 💕🌷🌷🌷💕
Thank you Miranda for taking us out to enjoy the spring nature scenery and adorable lambs too🥰 I think I’m going to order the off shoot book of the Secret Garden. I’m not much of a gardener but I love reading about them☺️🌺 Last year I was too late for rhubarb season but I may attempt some this year roasted!
Thanks dear Miranda for sharing your early morning outside. I love Spring as you do . Just hearing your gentle and encouraging voice is a comfort. Loved seeing the English sheep in the background. We are heading into winter in Melbourne, although our seasons are not as mak d as in England. ❤
You did such a lovely job of arranging the flowers! And oh those sheep! Too cute. Although the calendar says spring, here in the US, we've had several days of snow this week, so your vlog is so very welcome!
I especially loved seeing some of the area around your lovely home in this video, Miranda. How lucky you are to have those lambs right on your doorstop! I have an Episode of Sparrows on my shelf but have yet to pick it up so you've prompted me to get to it. I really enjoy these vlog style videos where you allow us to follow you around a bit on a typical day ☺
I love the arrangements you made with the bucket of flowers! Stunningly gorgeous! I'd love to see your Friday night seafood platter sometime! Sounds like a delicious tradition!
Happy Sunday from the States, I average 5am and treasure that morning time ,before the world awakes❤Doing my typo book and enjoying them - Ann of Green gables and also, I capture the Castle - enjoying my walk with you and the music!!😊

Happy Sunday from the States, I average 5am and treasure that morning time ,before the world awakes❤Doing my typo book and enjoying them - Ann of Green gables and also, I capture the Castle - enjoying my walk with you and the music!!😊
That should be two books not typo - Apple decides what I am saying - just doesn’t get that Boston Accent😉
Oh I LOVE Anne's House of Dreams!!
Such a lovely video Miranda,I really fancy reading the Frances Hodgson Burnett biography.Anne’s house of dreams was one of my absolute favourites in the series but it’s about forty three years since I last read it!
Thank you! The biography is such an interesting read. So far, I’m really loving returning to Anne’s House of Dreams 😊❤️
I love your huge garden! And sheep too. Living in London, having an outside space is hard to come by. Enjoy gardening 👩🌾👩🌾
It’s not ‘my’ garden, as we rent, but (after living in London for 15 years myself), I’m very appreciative of the outdoor space! 🌷
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Rural Hours by Harriet Baker...I loved it!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your very kind support, Nicea! I so appreciate it ❤️❤️
I enjoy your vlogs! I enjoy collecting Jane Eyre books! Its my favorite classic novel.
I'm so curious...Is Anne of Windy Willows the title in the UK? I've never heard it called that, I've always known it as Anne of Windy Poplars! ??
Thanks for another terrific vlog, Miranda! I'm glad you showed 'An Episode of Sparrows' because I remember loving that book as a child. My mother read it after me, and also thoroughly enjoyed it. Your point about books from the past being considered as suitable for both adults and children is a good one; I think the 'William' books fall into this category as well.
I’m so glad you’re a fan of An Episode of Sparrows too! And I so agree about William!
I am enjoying watching your spring unfold, as well as the gorgeous bouquets you made with the bucket of blooms that arrived. I have picked up An Episode of Sparrows and look forward to reading it.
Thank you Debbie!
What a lovely vlog! I so enjoyed it. Your flowers always look so beautiful. I want to read An Episode of Sparrows - that sounds really good. Thank you for this!
So happy you enjoyed it, thank you! An Episode of Sparrows is so good! xxx
