If you love the Children of Green Knowe, you should visit Lucy Boston's house, The Manor at Hemmingford Grey, which is the house in the story. In the loft bedroom check out the needle felted chaffinch in the cage - I made that 😊

What a wonderful video. Your mum must have loved her thoughtful gifts and the birthday tea. As for your recent reading, I have read and reread Lucy Bostons books, and I'm lucky to live near her house. The house and gardens are evident in the books and I was lucky enough for Lucy to show me around the house when she was alive. Her daughter in law now cares for it - it is the oldest and longest continually inhabited house in the country!

I adore the Green Knowe books! My aunt introduced me to them when I was nine years old and I fell in love with the series. Have you read The Stones at Green Knowe? It’s the story of a boy who lived there when the very first Green Knowe house was being built and I didn’t know it existed until a few years ago. I hope your announcement in the next vlog is that you are visiting L.M. Boston’s home! Happy birthday to Donna! I think celebrating for the whole month is a wonderful idea. 😊

I just love this video format where you and your Mom have a spectacular outing enjoying museums, beautiful gardens, afternoon tea, bookshops and thousands of other lovely places in the UK. You're such an inspiration for my own outings with my Mom (which I wish we had more of). I love to bring her to our favorite bookshop called Gandhi, browse through all the exciting book releases, buy us a treat and sip coffee while we show each other our treasures. We also love to go to the malls with huge Korean and Chinese shops, to the movies and museums. Your videos radiate such warmth and inspire so many people to call their moms and enjoy some quality time together. I started to watch your channel because of your love for books and your unique aesthetic but I've found something else along the way - so please, please never change. Happy Birthday to Donna!🎉

I bought a reading light last year and I must say, it is very good! No more eye strain from reading in the evening. I bought one for my mother and I am planning on buying more!
Another wonderful vlog. I came across Antonia Forest's books when my daughter started reading them, they are very enjoyable. LM Boston, author of the Green Knowe books ,
also wrote an interesting book about the restoration of her house, which the books are based around. I love the Elizabeth Harbour ornaments.

Another fabulous vlog and one very close to my heart as I live in York. I visited Grantley Hall when I worked for York Library as it was used for residential training courses but now it looks fabulous! Goddard's is well known to me as the grounds were used by a company I worked for as their summer team building days. Monet at the art gallery is on my list this summer too!
