You have inadvertently paraphrased an old Greek proverb…“A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.”
Hi Nicholas I love your videos and the places you visit you have inspired me to stay in some of these lovely stately homes do you ever stay in castles as well
Your video has enchanted my Heart, ❤ so nice to be introduced to your partner Nathan I look forward to your continued success With such a Very happy atmosphere , The tour of The English Countryside was so magnificent . Mary Canada 🇨🇦
Not enough adjectives to describe this video! Stunning, beautiful, spectacular, gorgeous….. Thank you Nicolas, one of my favorite from you. Love how you talked about the trees being planted for the future generations to enjoy.
What a beautiful place. I felt the spirits of those who came before as you walked across the bridge. It’s astonishing the magnificent vistas and the history. I felt emotional at the sight of such beauty. There really is no green like the green of England. ❤
Nicolas: "So, we're just going to have a little bit of lunch. Maybe a glass of wine." Nathan: "Oh, yes! Always a good idea." Truer words never spoken. Love to you both.
They planted those trees knowing they would not be there to sit in the shade under those trees. Yes; very powerful, and one of the marks of very civilized people. Thank you for the tour. What a gorgeous mansion!
What a wonderful podcast, so lovely to have a glimpse of the grandeur of England. I must say I am very much looking forward to the new podcast...exciting news. Thank you so much.
That was a really beautiful video Nicolas.. Weston park and the Temple of Diana are amazing. You are such a natural presenter and your execution of the material is so calming and natural… I was so relaxed watching it.. we’ll done again. Looking forward to the podcast by Nathan and yourself. Have a great week. Tomás
Beautiful. I love to imagine myself in these places. All they do is build, build, build in the US. Wide open spaces like this are rare where I live. Thank you for this tour.
I guess you’ve never been to Wyoming or Montana or Idaho or the Dakotas… lots of wide open spaces there, in fact once you get out of the cities and the suburbs it’s amazing how much wide open space and different terrain we are blessed to have in the US. Some of today’s greatest plein air painters live in Idaho (Scott Christenson) and Montana (Clyde Aspevig). Fortunately, Yellowstone National Park was so diverse, unique and recognized for its incredible beauty that Rockefeller purchased and then donated the land in order to preserve it, despite opposition from private landowners. Initially in the 1920’s, it was Rockefeller who was paying to preserve & maintain the land, before the government did. I myself am fortunate to live in NJ in Monmouth County which has 18,000 preserved acres. 57% of which is forest.

When you announced that you had a new boyfriend, I hoped it was Nathan. I felt the chemistry between you two in your previous videos. So happy for you both. I can't wait for the podcast.
So nice to meet Nathan, you look so happy and relaxed, soooo happy for you that you have someone special to share these amazing experiences with. What a superb setting, thankyou for sharing xx
Loved it! Thanks for the tour of this amazing place. How much does it cost to stay there in the summer? I imagine you would have to book quite a few months ahead of time.
My dear Nicolas you and Nathan outdid your self. Love such beautiful pictures and views of the place and the trees are so elegant and chic. Love their green leaves and the flowers and furn leaves was spectacular and exquisite. Nice long walk through out the garden . Excellent morning Sunrise 🌅🌄 love the ewes and lamps they are so cute and beautiful. ❤ Thank you for showing me all these places you and Nathan go to . The rooms in Diana Temple are so serene and elegant. Nice seeing you both eating and drinking having fun together as brothers. . God bless you today and family. Take care .😊😊😊😊😊
Please keep up all the good work you both are doing for all of Us.And you both always Dress Nice and are Very, Very, Very kind to all of Us.And I am Happy you Travel for Us that can't Travel.Thank you.Raquel❤.
What a charming episode. I LOVE the idea of the visual podcast! I’m not really an audio person so doing a visual conversational podcast on RUclips and Instagram sounds wonderful!
Absolutely beautiful! I only see the English countryside by watching Midsummer Murders and Downton Abbey. Thank you for the tour and the best for you and Nathan in your new adventure.
Stunning! Thank you for sharing 2 of my favorite things: exquisite ceilings and gravel crunching under foot! I originally painted my master bedroom w peach and sage stripes ❤
Good Morning Nicolas from Melbourne, as always loved your video , that place has my name on it one day when I visit England, it looks so beautiful also I am excited for your new adventure the Pod cast well time to make this day count sending Hugs Evie xoxo
Lovely views and I’d never be able to visit UK Altho my family on moms side are all English I’ve alway wanted to go over to UK and Wales over 300 castles there, but I love England castles from all I see in England history chanel. You make me see things for free and thank you.
Beautiful. It reminds me of the many summers I spent in the UK when I was younger, staying with my Grand Aunt and family. Only visit occasionally now. "Grown up" responsibilities took precedence. A few years ago, you posted a video about working with a personal trainer. Why did you stop?
From Deena Levy 🙏 ♥️ 🇺🇸 Thank you for the much needed get-away. It was very restful and beautiful! I live in America, and life here has been quite stressful and nerve-wracking... due to all the political turmoil. This was a breath of fresh air and features all the many things in life that I have loved and appreciated since I was a young woman. One must always stop to smell the 'roses'. So long... until our paths cross once again!
Thank you, Nicolas for a beautiful video. I so enjoyed a walk with you and experiencing the beauty and serenity of the English countryside. I would not have the opportunity otherwise. Best wishes on your new endeavor with Nathan.
Wonderful video as usual, I wonder how many trees there are and if there are any old plans available that you could show us of the gardens it would be a really interesting subject to discuss in your new podcast, but it seems as though you are already have a lot of plans for the podcast. I can not wait for it to start l always love it when you and Nathan are together and l am really glad that the podcast will be arranged for people that do have hearing issues as well. My only worry is will it be on utube as a dyslexic it is the only one l am connected to which I have many interested stories to tell because of my spelling issues most are quite funny. I do believe sign language should be taught in schools l will take my self off my soapbox now. Best wishes to both of you sending big huggles to you both from Lynda 😊
I love your new quilt. I tried some cheap curtain rods when we first moved in. That was some years ago. My cat was a kitten then. She quickly jumped on the curtains and down it came. Bought some better ones and they have done well since. We also put up the curtain holders to the side. We have window units in this old house so necessary to have them pulled back. I don't like very sweet desserts. As a kid I always scraped the frosting off birthday cakes at parties. I like cold things like cream pies, pudding and strawberry shortcake. My favorite dessert is creme brulee. Sad don't find it much here. The best dessert I have had in ages was from a Fancy bakery that I rarely go to. It was a giant sweet croissant filled with fresh strawberries, whipped cream and pwdered sugar on top. Oh it was so delicious 😋. I do like banana bread, and breads in general.
This is quite a lovely area you are visiting there Nathan. It reminds me of my Uncle’s Estate in England which I simply love to visit in the Summer time. It’s quite charming, indeed!do enjoy you stay.
I have missed your videos every week. This one is wonderful. I kind of miss the old you with your English decor in your home and your cooking segments. Maybe I shouldn’t even say this and I know everything has to change sooner or later but I found great comfort in those videos.
Nicolas, thank you for this beautiful video. You are masterful as a presenter. I am a faithful follower, and I am always impressed with your content, music, and filming. You made several great comments that reveal the depth of your nostalgia and connectedness to nature and the lives of other people. "The men who planted trees whose shade they will never experience. I think about the people who rode in carriages and on horses over this bridge and what their lives were like." You not only appeal to all our senses, but to bring us to a level of appreciation for all the aspects of life, both past and present, that can easily be taken for granted. Best of luck with your new podcast and adventure. Robert.
So glad that you and Nathan will be pod casting together...I had a great grandmother who was deaf--and she was a doctor of osteopathy--and was a beloved and brilliant woman...Nathan, do regale us with your many splendid qualities...best wishes, dts/usa
You have inadvertently paraphrased an old Greek proverb…“A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.”
Yes, what a lovely thought.
These Estates are so charming it’s a pleasure to enjoy every little part of it. It’s so tranquil, it’s such a treasure.

Such a tonic, the world needs those with elegant souls like yoursef and Nathan ❤❤
I was raised by a deaf mother, so I like the fact that you’re looking at other audiences.
Not enough adjectives to describe this video! Stunning, beautiful, spectacular, gorgeous….. Thank you Nicolas, one of my favorite from you. Love how you talked about the trees being planted for the future generations to enjoy.

I appreciate the peace and beauty this channel brings to the world.
Isn't a podcast with visuals, simply a video?????
What a beautiful place. I felt the spirits of those who came before as you walked across the bridge. It’s astonishing the magnificent vistas and the history. I felt emotional at the sight of such beauty. There really is no green like the green of England. ❤
There is nothing more soothing than the English countryside on a summer's day. That sky!!!
Nicolas, you and Nathan are lovely soul friends enjoying the beautiful life. Can’t wait for your podcasts! ❤
I'm so glad to see Nathan! Starting your podcast sounds ideal.
England is such a beautiful country. I wish I could live there.
Nicolas: "So, we're just going to have a little bit of lunch. Maybe a glass of wine." Nathan: "Oh, yes! Always a good idea." Truer words never spoken. Love to you both.
What happened to “I’m not drinking alcohol...” on your health kick video (about three months ago)?
They planted those trees knowing they would not be there to sit in the shade under those trees. Yes; very powerful, and one of the marks of very civilized people. Thank you for the tour. What a gorgeous mansion!
Thank you very much for your generosity to include consideration of the deaf community 😊❤
You and Nathan look so good together 🫶 A lovely vlog - beautiful surroundings and such elegant commentary. Thank you 👏
A pleasure to meet Nathan
Your being rewarded Nicolas fate has crowned you enjoy keep on doing what your doing and always be fair and sovereign English..

I agree. Greedy folks are always after land for condos; with open borders this is what happens.
