@David Fowler It is, they instruct sales personel to use it as a bonus to possible buyers. Your cars value is protected because honda does absolutely no fleet sales.
The funny thing was that these underrated 278hp manual Honda Accords embarrassed every single four cylinder high-school dropout Ford Focus STs, vw golf gtis, Mazda mazda3 mazdaspeeds, Hyundai Veloster turbos, Dodge Neons, and Honda Civic Si's that got feisty at every stoplight intersection
Also G35 sedans and coupe and 350z, You need the 3.7 to pass one of these. Challenger SXT, Camaro RS, BMW 545i & 328i, Mercedes C350 and even Jaguar XE 35t Supercharged see the Accords taillights on a roll. Few 4 Cylinder cars can keep up besides the Type R and Golf R.
Hey I'm a fan of the V6 Accords too but let's be real here. The only thing the car is good at is going straight a LITTLE bit faster than all the other cars u mentioned. Half of the cars u mentioned with basic bolt ons and a solid tune would take the Accord. And in the canyons, the accord is a boat that will get left around the corners. Not to mention its aftermarket part availability isn't as big. Let's appreciate the Accord V6 for what it is and not compared it to lightweight, better handling, more tuner friendly 4 cylinders.

22 mpg city/35 highway is a bit optimistic for this powertrain combo. Honda rated the 2016 models with the V6/Automatic transmission at 21/34. The manual transmission combo is most likely rated lower than that. They backed it all the way down to 18/28 for 2017 V6/6MT models. These get 30 mpg highway at best in most cases.

I pulled the coupler from the dirty side of the intake for a little freer air flow and I get 24 city 31 highway if I short shift and drive conservatively. 18/24 if I’m hooning a little bit. That’s in Mesa, AZ
If you’re salivating all over these cars and having a hard time finding one, I reccomend taking a look at the Acura TLX V6 of a similar year. They’re plentiful, affordable and have about 10 extra horsepower. Weight is about the same, 100 pounds more. They also come in SH-AWD. The downside is of course that there’s no manual, but you get a 9 speed DCT with paddles. They also have a nicer interior and it’s still a very fun car to drive around, with legendary reliability.
Back in 2006 and 2007 if you got the honda accord in sedan form and the EX trim level with the V6 it came with a 6 speed manual transmission which made the accord sedan a sporty sleeper
I have one of those V6/6 speed sedans, It's fantastic. You blend in to traffic. No one expects it to be anything special. It's smooth, comfortable, and quick. Obviously it's no sports car, but it's a 15 year old Honda. The only gripes I'd have are the weak stereo and a vague clutch pedal- and it's needed some major work here and there. Worth it.
About six months ago, I had decided to look for a newer Accord V6 6MT coupe. I quickly realized they just don't exist within the market, no one is selling them. It doesn't matter even if I had the cash in hand, instead of simply looking for what's out there as a goof. It was at that moment that I decided that my 2007 Honda Accord V6 6MT coupe will just have to get more love from me.
There's a good reason the J-series is still around. It's economical for what it is, the higher tier variants have explosive top end power, it's pretty simple and VERY reliable. And they sound great too (my almost 20 year old J32A2 sounds pretty much the same as the J35 in this video). If only Honda automatic transmissions were as good.
@pochoun33137 I'm not sure about the newer engines, but the J32A2 definitely has variable timing just on the intake side. As for the Hondamatic tranny, it' a lovely box in its operation. But it's not reliable) mine just let go after 50000 kilometers. I do drive aggressively, yeah, but I did a partial fluid change every 10-15 thousand k's, used only DW-1 fluid, changed the filter, and it still broke. I even had an oil cooler installed, but that didn't help. I'll be using Motul Multi ATF in my next transmission, installing some new pressure switches, and avoiding 4-2 downshifts in automatic mode to keep the box intact for at least some time.
Lol this is by far the funniest car review video I’ve ever seen! It’s actually accurate as well... I own a 2016 ex-L coupe v6 manual and it drives similar to my old g35 coupe but is smoother in my opinion. Underrated power, best clutch I have ever owned and looking forward to keeping it naturally aspirated with moderate mods. Thanks for the content
i spent a good half a year tracking down a 2017 coupe manual but finally grabbed one last year and i love this car. doesn't feel as racy as my old '97 Integra but it's excellent for all the highway driving i do these days. car is handsome as hell and drives great.

if my mazda6 signature was able to be ordered with a manual transmission & not just the base model, my life would have been complete.. still went with the 6 due to the gorgeous interior & the immense torque (310lb/ft... 2018 accord 2.0t was ~265lb'ft and it was a noticeable difference).. it drives like a v8. unique for a turbo 4
I plan on keeping mine for life (i.e. Built, tuned J35 HFP Coupe) Even in OEM form, the J35 is a monster V6 with V8 performance. Out performs all, if not most, DOHC V6's, which says something about Honda's SOHC J's, which have been around for a long time.
Mr. Regular I got a 2011 V6 automatic coupe a few months ago as a first car, and they are simply beautiful to drive. Even the Auto transmission still lets you rev it to hell and back and the paddle shifters are there if you want to use them. As you said its a very comfortable and logical car that can be treated as a commuter or a sports car, its quite a fun ride. Best part is my dad thinks its a normal Honda in great shape which is what sold him on it. :)
Exotics aside, When u get older, tastes change. you start to appreciate low key (almost invisible to cops and teens) cars with respectable performance that can easily be upgraded with mild mods to make it a real sleeper - if that's your thing. Or you can be "that guy"..u know, the 30+ y/o with R badges, wings, and loud exhaust STILL trying to "live life one quarter mile at a time". The need for speed never changes, but as u get older it becomes more n more apparent that blending in (for a daily) is ALWAYS better.

In Western PA I get 11 city 26 highway because everything is on some kind of grade here. It's slightly better than a V8.

Worth it.
