    I'm lucky enough to own this exact car in a stick shift and it is everything Zack describes. It's just plain fun to drive and looks cool. I just got it in 2020 and now being 2024 it's already over 10 years old and I get soo many compliments on this car and everyone is surprised when I tell them it's a 2013. I treat it like it's a brand new car because I know how special it is and if something happens to it, you can't just replace it as they are a bit of a unicorn. I'm blessed with this baby and I know it.

    • @WW2Hugh
      @WW2Hugh 8 месяцев назад

      the starter problem is a fix that Honda can/should do for free (have a 2014 V6 AT). If it sounds like you are trying to start a car while already on, then you have the problem. Here's the TSB: static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10115802-9999.pdf

      I just fixed mine this afternoon with the same problem. Turns out these cars have relays that'll fail over time while still letting power pass through. First it was my AC that failed intermittently, swapped the relay and fixed it. Noticed my windows were getting a bit lethargic and ignored it. Then I started getting intermittent no start symptoms. Replaced the battery, still not fixed. Finally got a hunch that woke me up in the middle of the night and decided to pull the starter fuse. Ended up also disabling the power windows then thought I was onto something here. Went and got a new fuse and lo and behold the car instantly started and now my windows roll up and down like I just put in new motors. So if you ever have an electrical problem in the future with a Honda, try swapping fuses and relays for new ones, even if they still "work". That easily saved me a ton of money with that borderline premonition I literally woke up to

      @werdpc 8 месяцев назад

      @zubiddydoodoopop good to know. Mine has been fine other than replacing that starter. My brother has been a honda mechanic for 20 yrs, so no issue is ever hard for me to figure out. Lol.

    Man i really wanted one of these when this bodystyle of Accord came out. They look great, you could still get a V6 in it and that manual option...closest thing you can get to a "personal luxury" car in the modern era. Sweet ride. Great video as always man.
    Regarding your "Hondas shift better" take: youre absolutely right! They get manuals right more often than almost everyone else. This extends into the motorcycle world as well. Im Honda loyal on the motorcycle side and when i hop onto a Yamaha or Kawasaki, they feel notchy and rough, whereas my Hondas shift like butter and only require a small little tap of the toe to change gears, while other bikes feel like you have to put your entire foot into it 😂

    I recently grabbed one as a second car. I’ve been driving a Mazda 3 AWD Turbo since it was released and before that I’ve consistently driven a GT sedan & 2.5 hatch for close to a decade. Living North of the border the AWD along with Blizzaks has got me through some insane snow storms but going years without the having steady all round performer like the J35 V6
    -6 speed in the driveway to call upon especially in the summer months. I am stoked that I was able to find a 2015 6-6 Coupe in beautiful shape. I know their somewhat rare especially with low mileage but in Canada some dudes just babied the hell out them and I was blessed to find one.
    I absolutely love it, that engine sounds sweet , performs even better and with Honda & other brands going downhill with small displacement Turbos and suspect looks & reliability these right now are the Honda’s to buy and keep for years to come. Perfect daily driver that has plenty of power to surprise.
    Appreciate the video brother!!!

    I got my red '14 6-6 coupe a year ago from yesterday. I really really do love the thing. Rare, beautiful, reliable, fun to drive, nice interior, sounds good, I literally can't say enough good things about it. It had been crashed into before, has a questionable paintjob and a welded in quarter panel. It also does not have working airbags (dealer quoted 5500 to fix my airbag wiring cuz a shop that fixed it after the crash messed it up, so I've decided not to fix them yet) But after I fixed all the problems it had, It has given me zero trouble. Shifts are good, power is great and gas mileage is freakin amazing for a V6! Thing gets 32-33 on the highway!! I love these cars and I hope to have mine for a long time (currently at 112k)

    Wow uncanny timing! I'm on the verge of negotiating to try to get this identical car except a 2014. It only has 12K miles and the owner was meticulous in maintaining it.
    It's either that or a 2017 Lexus GS 350 with 16K miles on it. The Lexus is a smoother, nicer car and handles better than the Accord, but the stick shift is so much fun!
    Also I think I'd have to spend exactly twice the cash for the GS as I would for the Accord, so I'm leaning toward the Honda right now.

    6:10 The reason Honda moved away from the blind spot cameras on the right mirrors is because the wiring harnesses in the mirrors began to degrade over time, so Honda stopped adding them to their cars around 2019ish due to longevity concerns. I have to agree though, a great feature while it lasted!

And while my car was nice, when I sat in his I felt like I was in a high-end luxury car by comparison. The interiors of these cars are *so nice,* lots of headroom for taller people, the stereo systems in these sounded really good and the engine was quiet until you wanted to hear it. I never drove it, but it felt like it could be a lot of fun if enthusiastically driven.

    In 1980s, I was fortunate enough to have a then newly introduced 1980 Civic GL with a 5 speed, silver with a red interior. It most certainly punched above its weight in sportiness. In fact, it was more like an original Mini Cooper than today's Mini Cooper is. 100,000+ miles of reliability and fun. Traded it for a '92 Accord - and racked up 100,000+ trouble-free miles in that one too. (I won't bore you with the Acura stories that followed. 😁)

    I drive a 6-6 accord. My only complaint is it’s almost too NPC looking and you have to explain to people it is actually a fun car.

    Great video man, finally someones recognizing what a awesome car this is. I have a 15 v6 coupe just like this, and man.. I'll never get rid of it. About to pay it off (: however, I really really really wish I had the next years model, 9.5 with the face lift. Oh man those look so much better to me. Id like to convert mine to look like that some day .

    when I owned a 2015 golf TSI, which before its maintenance woes, I loved, I test drove a 2018 civic SI. I figured it would be better, since it made more power & weighed less. I was severely disappointed in how it drove, noting that virtually everything about my golf, which had 30 fewer horsepower, was nicer and better to drive. The only thing I hands-down gave the Honda was shifter feel. no front wheel drive car has a shifter that feels as lovely to row through the gears in than a Honda

    This model (auto) was actually my first car, I drove it for 7 years and about 90k miles (with not a single issue, had almost 150k when I got rid of it) and traded it in on a B9.5 S5 Sportback, I'm not gonna lie, the S5 is a more modern, faster, better driving, more luxurious car, but I do find myself missing that NA J35 engine note a lotttttt, definitely a special car in Honda's mid-2010's lineup

    Very Nice review! I daily a 2011 V6 coupe auto and while its not the manual its still a hell of a fun car to drive (it does have flappy paddles). You get great performance without sacrificing a tone of comfort or reliability. I got mine used with low miles and it will most likely stay with me for forever. Nothing like it will ever get made again unfortunately.

    My roommate was so torn between one of these, or a 2016+ Chevy Camaro 6 speed manual V6. What decided him on the Camaro in the end was a fully loaded, RS package V6, 6 speed manual popped up within 100 miles in his price range and in great shape. It had not been easy to find a clean, bone stock and unmolested Honda Accord manual V6 within 100 miles.....the last one he looked at was clean, but someone had not done their oil changes often enough in 85,000 miles and that engine was NASTY inside and ran like garbage to go with.

    Sounds better because of the full ports vs the single port exhaust. The pull on a a2 was pretty underrated. Let's give it up for the Acura cl type s.

    The one problem that I did have in my 9th gen coupe was that the flywheel ended up chipping off a tooth which seems to be a big but uncommon issue with these. Besides that, I beat the snot out of mine and it never ever let me down.
