I just bought a premium 2016 bmw s1000rr and the right heated grip doesn’t (work) doesn’t heat up at all. Mine looks exactly like yours except i don’t have a RR on the side of the tank. Im about to change its whole look tho, its gonna look M1000ish
You and I have the same exact bike even down to the quad lock. Only difference is mine is a 2016 and my quad lock has the wireless charging. Our bikes are pretty much an HP4 without the 3D sensor on the front end and the number plate stating what number in production the bike is. Thanks for the vid as I'm preparing to replace my grips along with doing the big service myself.
Any time you have to deal with strong adhesive, a bit of isopropyl works wonders to loosen it.

What are the two things sticking out when you pulled the entire grip off? Is that the heating element?
Yes
Should of put heated gtips on make them softer
Thanks for the video (still watching it)! Getting ready to do this on my '14 HP4. Is yours an HP4 race? I'm asking because of the carbon fiber frame
I wish! It’s just an S1000RR unfortunately. They are carbon frame covers. Hope the video helps!

Hello friend, thanks for the video. Is the handle on the right side (throttle) lacquered? Installation the same as on the left side? Greetings
Hi, yes. It’s installed the same. Just clean up the bar as much as possible before putting it on.
cool bro, the hand warmer stays, or is it lost?
@@ferzavher the heated grips still work if that’s what you mean. Just be careful not to cut the wires out heating elements.
I just bought a new original BMW heated left grip for 50euro :D why would I get an aftermarket for 50AUD? Thats makes no sense
Hey mate, could you post the eBay listing link. I reckon it's time to change mine as well.
Sure. Added a link to the description.
@@danivaareoff Cheers mate.
Why hairspray?
It acts as a lubricant to help slide the grip on and then turns into an adhesive once it cures to hold the grip in place
Use black spray paint. Hairspray doesn't work
@@john6276 i used soapy water worked great
I broke the heating element on mine...live n learn 🤦♂️
Oh no! That’s a shame.
What happened after u broke the heating?
@@norzarifzainalabidin6205 heating element stopped working
