no offence but i would never prefer homeschooling....social interactions are aa part of human life and having good friends other than parents helps us a lot more than you think.He has achieved heights but on the sacrifice of some good memories and childhood..i barely see life in his eyes and would love to know that he is doing well in his life with some really good friends and of course his mom now...
you should check out the tv series called young sheldon. if he went to a school where he studied along epole of his same age then he would feel like and 12th grader studying with 6th graders, but if he went to a higher grade then he wouldnt be able to make friends and would feel awkward around others. so its was a correct decision to home school him .

It is just another research paper and not some path-breaking work. This kind of work many people are doing around the world without having the tag of genius or losing any of their personal life. I think even to be successful in a research career one needs to be good at socializing.
